Google
To be honest, it was my favourite and probably the only thrilling ride at the park.. Apart from just being thrilling the theme, immersivity, and interior design was absolutely spot on😊 It was a long wait as you had to virtually queue but totally worth it one of my favourite rides definitely... 👍

Google
TL;DR: TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom is a must-ride for coaster enthusiasts! Unique lightcycle seats, smooth twists, and an incredible design make it worth the wait. TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom is absolutely amazing! This newest addition is a coaster like no other, with its unique "lightcycle" seating that immerses you right into the futuristic theme. The ride is super smooth, with thrilling whips and turns that deliver an unforgettable experience. Despite its sleek metal design, it’s structured enough to let you enjoy a classic hands-up moment during the ride. For coaster enthusiasts, this one is a must-do—well worth the wait!

Google
The acceleration was amazing but smooth. Got lucky to sit in the front row. Out of the world experience. Long time was less than 100 minutes but understood that it was the busiest time of the year !

Ellen B

Google
A fantastic fast, smooth coaster. I felt safer in the motorcycle-style seat than on a regular coaster. The only downside is the 60-80 min wait for a 2 min ride. It is must shorter than Guardians of the galaxy or space mountain.

Amalia Hartling

Google
AMAZING ride!!! I try to get on this ride any chance I can. The experience is unimaginable 😁 the only down side is that the line normally takes hours and the ride itself is only like 30 seconds 😅😭 This high-speed coaster combines immersive Tron visuals with intense drops and sharp turns for an unforgettable ride. The acceleration is incredible, and the stunning light displays will leave you breathless. I loved how seamlessly the physical and digital environments blend together. Plus, the ride is surprisingly smooth. Plan ahead - grab a Lightning Lane or prepare for long wait times. Sitting in the front row offers optimal views. Don't miss the interactive queue; it's a great bonus! Overall, Tron Lightcycle / Run is a must-ride for thrill-seekers and Tron fans!

Google
TRON Lightcycle / Run at Disney Magic Kingdom is a visually stunning and exhilarating experience. The styling and presentation are fantastic, immersing you in the world of TRON. The experience is even better at night when the extensive lighting is more visible, enhancing the overall atmosphere. Before boarding, there are two bikes available to try out, ensuring a comfortable fit for all riders. (There are some size restrictions large and small) To experience this ride, you'll need to use the Genie+ service and schedule your ride in advance, as they are not accepting standby or walk-ons at this time. Securing a spot in line can be challenging due to its popularity. The ride itself is thrilling, though it is relatively short. The main drawbacks are the long lines and wait times. Despite this, I highly recommend experiencing it at least once, especially at night. Just be sure to plan ahead to make the most of your visit. Google
This makes Magic SO much better. Excellent ride i loved it so much i went 3 times. I”ll never forget how off guard the acceleration caught me lol. The intro with the screen was also a great immersive moment.

Google
Would be such an amazing ride… if it was longer!! 1 min is criminal to stand 40-80 minutes in a queue. If it was longer, would have been the best ride at Disney!

Franklin C.

Yelp
Best ride ever at magic kingdom. Won't disappoint and the wait is worth it. Definitely like that the Checkout lockers is open on both sides when we left it's available on the back end. The thrill is almost like space mountain and I barely could see much with the speed going on. One of the highlights of the trip is this ride

Royce L.

Yelp
One of the newer rides at Magic Kingdo and worth the wait which you're going to do either way. It's way shorter with the lightning pass but that's true with all rides. There are very long lines at this ride just comes down to how long you want to wait. That being said, it's a cool build up as far as the way in, the music, the process etc. they have lockers before the ride which you to have use for any loose items and bags. Even the build up from there is very cool and works well with the ride. At one point you get to see how the ride starts. It's a unique ride and you have to kneel and then pull on some handle bars. There's a test one on the way in to see if you are able to fit and make you familiar with it. It starts out and keeps going pretty fast, I believe hitting 60 mph at some point.

Alex C.

Yelp
By far one of the BEST rides in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! Believe the hype!!! Feels just like the movie. The sounds and all the lighting are amazing!!!! Worth the wait to get on this ride!

Emil C.

Yelp
We finally got to go on this ride on our last trip to the Magic Kingdom in early January. Fortunately, we no longer needed to deal with the hassle of joining the virtual queue. You can now wait in the standby line. They keep you pretty entertained and informed leading up to the actual ride. There will be lockers for you to stored your bags and any loose items. Those lockers are opened and closed using your MagicBand or park ticket. The ride itself i fairly short. If you are planning to ride it only once, I would suggest riding it at night. The ride is so much better in the dark!

Henry C.

Yelp
The ride was really fun and intense, it was short but that is one because the ride was really fast

Mel L.

Yelp
Hands down the fastest ride I've ever experienced at Magic Kingdom. Tron Lightcycle Run is like riding a motorcycle and not seated upright so the user really feels that 60 mph rush! Parts of the ride take you backwards but not upside down. Fans of the film will appreciate the visual and audio effects throughout. This ride currently requires getting into the queue to enter. Took my group under an hour total.

Adam M.

Yelp
This ride is so much fun and the queue goes fast! If you have the chance ride it at night when it's all lit up!

Jeff M.

Yelp
Now that the hype has died down a bit, we can sort of step back and really look at what makes Tron special and what doesn't. I've only experienced the Lightning Lane queue, and it's fun to see the curtain lifted, so to speak, as one of the trains takes off and then you are pretty much headed down the ramp to your vehicle. The queue that opens up at 7 AM can be a solid option but just know you have to be lightning fast in order to get it, like within 5-10 seconds of 7 AM, which is just nuts. Nothing beats the views as you walk up the ramp and hear 20 or so guests screaming their heads off as they were just launched right out in front of you. Clearly, this is the best part of the ride and is a solid launch given the motorcycle style position you are seated in, it definitely feels faster than it likely is. But after the launch, there is ZERO air time, even if you are sitting in the back of the train. Sure, you wind around in a building for a bit going through your energy gates but they really could have added some surprise elements within this section to really bring the entire ride over the top. It's maybe a minute overall of this winding back and forth in the dark and then it just abruptly ends. I really wish they would have put more time and energy into the "feel" you get within your bike vs. just showcasing the incredible launch that leads to a letdown for the rest of the ride. I give this 3.5 stars but am rounding up because of how good the launch is and it will continue to bring me back to ride again and again. I don't know if they can ever make more improvements throughout the ride, but it is still lacking a special something to make turn it into another Guardians ride in EPCOT.

Austin B.

Yelp
A rather INSANELY FUN ride but I will say it's ridiculously short. I do love everything about it, from the design to the launches on the ride! You rocket off to the outside and it's so much fun! It's like the rockin Rollercoaster launch but crazier! The visuals of the ride are stunning and it really feels like you were transported into the world of Tron and onto the grid to battle the villans! The ride is a lot of fun and you sit as if you're riding a bike. The area you place your shins is a little uncomfortable if you're tall or boney so I had to knock a star off for that as well as the length of the ride is way to short for something that has been in the making for years! The cast members are insanely friendly and help you with everything from putting your bags in the mandatory lockers to the helping of you onto the bikes to get ready for the ride. Overall a great ride that if you're lucky enough to score a boarding pass for you'll enjoy for sure!

Yelp
TRON Lightcycle / Run is a gorgeous addition to the Magic Kingdom. After five years of slow construction, this coaster opened as the fast ride at Walt Disney World. TRON is a totally unique ride, with its motorcycle (called Lightcycle by Disney) ride vehicle, interior projection mapping, Daft Punk music and more. That being said, it is pretty short. Clocking in under 60 seconds, this coaster is all about speed. Exhilarating, fantastic music and great views, but just know that the experience is a short one. For now, you will need a virtual queue reservation to ride (which is a bit of a pain) and then 30-75 minute average wait once you arrive (yes, even with the Virtual Queue). The ride also sells quick queue pass, known as a Lightning Lane, for about $15-20 a person (the price fluctuates per day). Overall, this ride looks incredible at day and stunning at night. The music is fantastic, it offers great thrill and many kids can ride it. But, it is short and Disney's virtual queue is an annoying part of the process.

Brian F.

Yelp
Tron is a new ride at Disney World's Magic Kingdom in the Tomorrowland section of the park. In the morning you join the virtual queue on the Disney app and you will get a group number and a time range to come back to the ride so you can still enjoy the rest of the park. There are lockers for you to put your stuff in and you wait in line until you get on the ride. The seat is a motorcycle so you will get strapped into motorcycle position and it's just so sleek and cool. The ride is fast and fun and my only complaint is that it's not long enough!

Derrick G.

Yelp
This is an amazing ride. You must enter a virtual queue in Disney app, if you do not enter the virtual queue, you may not be able to get on this ride. The wait was still approximately 40 minutes on the virtual queue, but it was definitely worth it. If you enjoy fast rides and roller coasters, this is a must try.

Brian H.

Yelp
Very well made ride. The virtual queue is difficult to get on so plan on it being open for a few minutes after it opens at 7 am and 1 pm for reservations at max. We were fortunate to get on the virtual queue at 1 pm after missing our chance at 7 am since we tried at 7:03 am and ended up riding at late night. Being that the sky was dark added to the excitement and the experience was magical and exciting for a teen and his father. 5 solid yelp stars and two thumbs up!

Babette C.

Yelp
Got to try this as both a Virtual Queue and a Lightning Lane and I'm glad I did it that way because I'd be mad if I had to do this as a standby. The ride is basically a roller coaster, but in cycle style and it is fun, but I have short legs and because of my dimensions, I had to ride in the bench seat. I'm not hating because of that because the ride was kinda fun, but it's definitely a short ride and I felt that Space Mountain was a lot better. The ride is aesthetically gorgeous, but I remember the original movie when I was a kid and always thought a real light cycle fight would've been amazing to experience. This ride didn't meet those childish expectations and I'm not naive enough to think it should, but unfortunately it means no ride Disney would've come up with could live up to my imagination.

John D.

Yelp
In a day with fits and starts we are finally here - we were online before the 7am virtual queue opening time. Got into a pretty good group #29 should have been on the ride before 11am. The ride has been alternated between running & broken down all day. 12 hrs later we are finally in line. The line moved at a decent rate - about 20 mins later we were pinned to our light cycle. The ride is Rockin Rollercoaster meets Space Mountain. Slingshot start around an exterior section and back into the dark. Some twists, turns & stops then it's over. I timed the ride at 83 seconds from launch to stop.

Jerry H.

Yelp
Tron is Disney world's newest and fastest roller coaster. There is a virtual queue and lightning lane option to ride the high tech Lightcycle coaster which goes 60 mph. Tron offers free high tech lockers using magic bands or park tickets. It simulates a high speed and smooth motorcycle ride through the digital world of Tron. There are no loops and seat restraints are very comfortable. It's a whole new experience. Genie plus users get free ride photos and a free slow motion launch video.

Janice K.

Yelp
I finally got my husband to ride Tron. Our only option is pretty much Saturday or Sunday right now because of the virtual queue. We were in group 36 and able to ride around 10. there was hardly any line and we were out early enough to get breakfast at Liberty Tavern. my husband does not like roller coasters. He literally almost had a heart attack after riding Velocicoaster at Universal, he'll go on GoG with me but prefers not to, and he will never go on Hagrids at Universal again. I was really surprised when he said he liked this coaster and he would definitely go on it again. There is no upside down and you feel very secure in the seat.

Arlene M.

Yelp
Tron is the latest entry into Disney World's family of coasters. Due to its popularity, there is no standby line. Rather take your luck to enter a virtual queue or be like me-suck it up and pay the individual lightning lane price just to get it over with. At least you are guaranteed a return time window. Photopass photographers stand outside to take your picture along with some special effects pictures that will show up. You are able to "test" one of the bikes to see if you fit or are comfortable with it. My husband and I decided to go with the upright seats in the back. Each coaster has one pair of these seats for handicapped individuals or those who prefer not to lean over the bike. Once inside you enter and become part of the "grid." The preshow area is extensive and yes there are lockers for you to stow your gear. Make sure to do this because you will lose everything if you don't. Lockers are numbered so make a point to remember yours because you will empty it on the other side once the ride is over. I found having the lightning lane cut out wait time tremedously and we were able to enjoy the ride itself within about 15 minutes. It took us a few extra minutes to wait until a sit up back sit opened up but we were glad that we did. It felt more like a typical coaster ride. You are catapulted out the loading dock in and outside the ride going at super fast speed. Inside various scenes from the movie appear but you are going to fast to take it all in. With its wild twists and turns you just never know what to expect including the dark areas. It was truly a winner of a coaster. Once we were back at the station it wasn't a far walk to retreive our belongings at the locker. They have a model vehicle as you exit. Ride it at least once if you are visiting the Magic Kingdom. The ride is located in Tomorrowland not far from Space Mountain.

Yelp
Get your alarms ready! It's time to virtual queue for TRON Lightcycle Run at 7:00 A.M, if you're booked reservations for Magic Kingdom! This is one of the coolest rides at Magic Kingdom! I was able to book 2 different virtual queues for TRON Lightcycle during memorial day week. You'll need the Disney World mobile application logged in and linked with your account. From there, you can join the virtual queue. Recommendation would be to refresh it consistently around the 7:00 A.M start time! Once you get in the queue and your boarding number is called, it's typically about an hour in line wait, outside and inside the Tron Lightcycle building. Lockers are required for larger items. You'll put your items in on one side and pick up your items after the ride. It's extremely convenient the way Disney built out the locker system. TRON Lightcycle run is fast! There is a height requirement for 48'' to ride. There are big drops and it is in the dark during some of the ride. The ride is like a bike where you'll sit in with your body on the bike. It will immediately launch you 60+ mph into the outdoor canopy. We only rode it during the day, both times, but I could imagine how beautiful it must be during the evening hours. There are no inversions or loops on this ride. The drops are not as intense as Mount Everst in Animal Kingdom! If you don't get in the Virtual Queue, Disney does offer a purchase lightning lane. Prices do vary, but during Memorial day week, the prices were around $20 per person. If this is your first time at Disney World and Magic Kingdom, this is a must do ride!

Courtenay O.

Yelp
I loved this ride! Guardians of the Galaxy is my favorite for music & comfort, and Tron is the best for speed & excitement. After waiting an hour in line after having our group called, getting on the cycle was easier than anticipated. Getting off was a little harder for uncoordinated me. Before getting to the cycle, we got digitized, and then put everything in a free locker (take a photo of the number if you want to be sure you recall it after the ride). On the cycle, a small compartment holds your phone and glasses. I did not want to take a chance that my glasses would not come off. It's a fast ride. I felt safe on the ride, and totally exhilarated. It was a blast!!

Matthew S.

Yelp
Terrible service and attitudes. The ride is also. Wry short and definitely not worth the wait.

Britney M.

Yelp
Cool/ Unique ride. Who doesn't want to go on the TRON ride?!?! My only gripe is that it is not comfortable. I get the design appeal: like you are riding a motorcycle. But it's not comfortable at all. Similar to the Avatar ride, but instead of a screen in front of you, you are on a legit rollercoaster. Cool concept. But definitely not fat people friendly. If you are on the heavy side, this won't be all that fun with the position of the ride. I wish there was a normal seating section for people who want to go on the ride, but don't want to be in the awkward motorcycle position. I felt uncomfortable in that position, and it hurt my back. For the record I don't have back problems, but I am overweight. I digress to my previous statement, that this ride is not fat people friendly. lol

E M.

Yelp
Fast, heart wrenching, secure, long wait time. Wish the ride could be longer. In the tomorrow land in Magic Kingdom

Natali B.

Yelp
I got a virtual queue line to ride tron and was excited. I have been to avatar passage of flight so I kinda knew what the seating would be like. You ride on a motorcycle type seat and some carts have accessible standard roller coaster cars where you can sit back normally. I opted for the motorcycle type seat. Despite have a spot in the queue, we still waited about an hour. The launch is pretty intense, going from 0 to 60+ mph in seconds. You get launched immediately to the outdoor area everyone can see. That was such a blur and I didn't even remember seeing anyone or anything clearly, immediately we looped back into the building and there were lots of lights. The storyline of the ride is like you are racing another team, their color is Orange and ours is blue so inside it's lots of blue and orange lights as you zoom past. Overall deducting a star because it's such a short ride, about a minute. Also they give you lockers to store your stuff in before you get on!

Melanie O.

Yelp
This is by far the coolest ride at Magic Kingdom! The staff greet you and there is a cast member helping you store your stuff in a locker. It was such a cool experience! It was fun, fast, turns and it made you feel like you were part of the movie! I think it was the perfect length of the ride, any longer I feel like my stomach would hurt. Definitely would love to ride again!

Rachel Macie H.

Yelp
You soo know that you wanna get lost in the grid and TRON is the perfect place to do that as it's just one of those coasters that left me speechless! This was coaster credit 418 for me and what a good one it was as this ride is incredible as your laying down on the cycle and your basically flying through the grid at a fast speed racing the red team to the finish line! The visuals for this coaster are amazing it's super well themed and just a experience like no other roller coaster out there! The ride isn't too intense making it super fun for all ages like you really can't go wrong with it so if your ready and willing to enter the grid DO IT!! Overall this is an awesome new Vekoma and amazing edition to Magic Kingdom I'm going to be counting the days until I get to ride this super fun Coaster again! See you in the grid!

Walter B.

Yelp
On tron light cycle run you will have a trilling experience which we had today the ride is full of thrill and excitement and the staff controlling the line is really nice

Elissa L.

Yelp
Best ride in all of Disney World!!! So seamless and fun. We paid for lightning pass for this one but it was so worth it.

Walter S.

Yelp
Enter The Grid: Welcome to Tron Lightcycle Run. Magic Kingdom Park, and particularly Tomorrowland, has long been in need of new attractions and Tron delivers on all counts. Board your own Lightcycle and hang on as you race through The Grid and try to bring home the glory of victory. This attraction is located in the back corner of Tomorrowland, it's entrance just to the left of Space Mountain. A breathtaking canopy that is lit and changes colors welcomes you as you enter the world of Tron. And bonus: atop the entrance path you'll find new Tron restrooms. Once you enter the building you'll make your way down a long tech-lit hallway until you reach your Digitization Room. Once you've been properly digitized you'll see racers below making their lightcycle run. After one more room you'll reach (free) lockers to store all of your goods. These lockers are BIG and can accomodate quite a bit of stuff/bags/popcorn buckets, et al. From there it's time you make your way down to board your lightcycle. Throughout the queue you'll find posters and videos explaining to you the backstory and other racers you'll be facing off against on your lightcyclcle run. This attraction is a BLAST! From the unique ride vehicle, to the your ride through the illuminated canopy, through your entrance into the attraction and beyond Tron is a nonstop rush of speed, fun, and laughter. I legit had a smile on my face from launch to landing. Now I will say, there is a minimal story line/story being told. Recent (and classic) attractions have spent preshows and beyond trying to explain and set up the attraction, you won't find that here aside from the handful of screens hangning about through the queue. But this does not stop from being a fun thrill ride that delivers from start to finish. I can't wait to Enter The Grid again!

Yelp
Tron looks amazing! It looks fast! It looks...it looks...it looks! But the ride? Totally skip it. Ok, the best thing about it is the launch which seems to go on for daaaaays. It's a great launch. After that? No thrills. No dips. No drops. No swerves. No loops. Just relatively gentle bunny hills and curves. For a tame family coaster I'd almost give it 3 stars except...it is totally uncomfortable. You sit in it hunched over like a super fast motorcycle. You lay on your chest and arms outstretched with head pulled up into a very uncomfortable position. Sure you could go a bit more upright but that's not how the ride is built. And given the turns you end up pushing your arms out as hard as you can. It's just a horrible horrible sensation. This ride is not built for people who are too tall, too large, too small, big feet, not in shape, in too much shape. Really, the designers of the cycle should never be allowed to design a ride again. Oh, the "story" is that you are dueling against another bike. The ride totally ignores that until the last 2 seconds. Just dumb. Did I mention you should skip this? Skip it.

Arlando L.

Yelp
Pretty dang fun! Lots of speed and a very unconventional, yet thrilling way to ride a coaster.

Brandon H.

Yelp
This is a copy of the Shanghai Disney Tron rollercoaster and really surprised me on the launch. Tron Lightcycle Run is a steel launch motorbike rollercoaster with a top speed of 60 MPH and a top hight of 78.1 feet. The ride time is less than 2min and this is good because the seat was very uncomfortable. The rollercoaster is very short with some cool animation and effects. I would definitely recommend riding this rollercoaster it's thrilling and super smooth. The queue for the ride is well themed and there are lockers to put all your things in before you ride. Phones and keys can be placed in a compartment on the ride. To ride this rollercoaster you need to wait in a virtual queue so check the disney app for more information. Overall it's a good ride nothing incredible but it's thrilling.

Anthony F.

Yelp
Tried this ride and the hype is worth it. It's fast and unique as it goes outside and in so u feel the heat and also the AC. The photos and videos are cool if u have photo pass. Im not giving them 5 stars only because of the new method of virtual queue and lightning bs. Disney if u want money then charge it elsewhere. This new method is total garbage compared to fast pass of old. This is my 4th time and might be my last depending on how the rest of my trip goes.

Molly M.

Yelp
Currently the only way to ride this was via the virtual que. My group of 3 managed to get into the 1pm que and were board group 150. We were not called for a while so we were not allowed to line up until 9:15pm. The ride had some sort of issue so we ended up waiting in line for about an hour and a half almost two hours. Some people ended up leaving the line before the ride. It was dark out so the canopy was lit up. You speed up to 60 mph in the beginning, but you don't maintain much of that speed for very long. You also have to sort of lay across a single rider motorcycle and the bikes are two per row. You will need to put everything into a free locker, even a fanny pack. The ride was not that fast for the majority of the time and pretty short. Do not wear a pin on your shirt since you have to lay down. Honestly it was fun to ride once, but wasn't that great. The motorcycle was a bit uncomfortable to ride. Not much theme decor to see.

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Opened in April 2023, this is Magic Kingdom's latest and greatest attraction. As of this review, the only two ways to be able to get on this roller coaster is by Virtual Queue (VQ) and/or purchasing an "Individual Lighting Lane" (ILL). With VQ, there is a daily 7am and a 1pm drop. With the 7am drop, your fate to be able to secure a spot can be determined by 2-3 seconds. Yes, you read that correct. 2-3 SECONDS. If you can't get a VQ in the morning, wait until 1pm. At that time, it is wayyyy easier to obtain. Also, if you were able to secure a boarding group during 7am, you CANNOT try for the 1pm time slot. If you want to ride a second time, you may purchase an ILL. Prices for ILL was $20.00 per person but will vary based on how busy Disney forecast the park crowds to be. For ILL, you are able to pick what time you want to ride. With VQ, your time is based on when your boarding group is called. The advanced technology to this is pretty amazing. Free lockers are provided for you to store all items in. Don't worry about trying to remember your password. Lockers will open by the touch of your Magicband. Even these lockers look high tech. Tron is not your typical roller coaster seats. Ohhhh no, my friends. You're straddling on a bike while the launch propels you forward at 60+ mph to the outdoor canopy area. That launch is really breathtaking in more ways than one. If you're plus sized, they have select special seats in the back of the coaster. Those seats are more the traditional roller coaster style seating with lap bars. The launch is exhilarating and immediately you are speeding out to the outdoor canopy. It's actually pretty intimidating since you can see below you. Then you're indoors for the rest of this ride. No inversions....there's drops but they're not really really steep or tall. You get some good force with those steep turns also. Good luck getting those VQs! Hope whoever wants to ride this on their trip is able to!

Pierre D.

Yelp
A roller coaster based on Tron seems like the best idea ever; the lighting, music, and a motorcycle like ride combine to create an awesome experience. However it is a bit uncomfortable and short. I've ridden this ride twice, both times at night. Currently the ride requires either a virtual queue reservation or a purchased lightening lane pass. I signed up for the virtual queue at exactly 1pm and got a virtual queue spot that was after dark. The ride experience after dark is great, because part of the ride is outside under a lighted roof which looks amazing at night. Once your virtual queue number is called, you can join the line, which was an additional approx. 45 min wait before the actual ride. There are lockers to hold your stuff inside before the ride. The train has cars that try to mimic the motorcycle riding experience. You are leaning forward over it in a kneeling position. When you pull back on the handlebars a plate comes down on your back and bars stick out behind your knees to lock you into the car. To look forward, you have to bend your head/neck upwards. I am not an expert, but it seems like the mechanisms to hold you in place could be potentially dangerous to some people. There is a car outside the front of the ride that you can try out to see what you think of it. When trying the car, realize that the ride accelerates from close to zero to fast speeds fairly harshly. After the ride my neck was a bit sore. I saw a lot of young kids, older people, and overweight people doing the ride, but personally I would not do it or be extremely cautious if there was a chance the restraint would not hold me in or there was a chance of neck/back injury. I loved the ride, it is exhilarating and a really unique experience. The kneeling position combined with the high acceleration launch feels like Wile E. Coyote holding onto the side of a large cylindrical rocket that malfunctions and loops around in space instead of catching the Road Runner. The first launch takes you to the outside loop under the lighted roof, then the rest of the ride is indoors. The indoor part is in the dark with lighted shapes, paths, and graphics. The entire ride is very fast and short, maybe approx. 3 min max, so try to look around and enjoy it while you can!

Yelp
I enjoyed the tron quite a lot. As a kid, i played lots of mario kart, and those were the types of vibes i got from the tron. This is one of the fastest rides at disney, it accelerates at speeds up to 60mph, and i enjoyed it quite a lot. My only problem with this ride is that it was quite short compared to many other rides at disney, apart from that, amazing ride.

Yelp
TRON Lightcycle Run has finally made its way to Walt Disney World! I was fortunate to have rode Tron back in 2017 when I visited Shanghai Disneyland. It was the state-of-the-art roller coaster at that time, and I knew that the Magic Kingdom in Florida would be a great future location to have a duplicate version of it. Unfortunately with the pandemic, there was a two year delay. Back in 2017, it was the most modern roller coaster in any of the Disney Parks; but due to the delays, "Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind" is currently the most modern roller coaster, and Cosmic Rewind holds the title as being the best roller coaster in any of the Disney Parks. Perhaps that does take away some of the thunder of the TRON attraction. Still, TRON is unique with its theme, visual lighting, music, and the ability to ride a coaster like a motorcycle. It's a must attraction, especially if you can ride it in the front and at night time! I understand that riding it at night is difficult with the virtual queue, but at least you can request to ride in the front. As for a criticism, the ride is super short. I wish it was longer, but perhaps the short length was to prevent it from being uncomfortable for some guests. I wish it came out earlier to Walt Disney World, but it's just nice to finally have it opened now!

Yelp
If you like speed, then this is ride for you! Based on the movie(s) Tron, it's a sit-on motorcycle ride. The story concept is that you are part of a team competition in the digital world. Right now the ride is only on the virtual queue system which I'm sure you guys know the drill. When you get toward the end of the queue, the cast member will direct you to a bank of lockers to put your stuff in (and you will need to take everything off because it WILL go flying). You will need to use your magic band or ticket to access it. On the vehicle itself, there's a small compartment to put your phone. So, 2 vehicles side by side in each row-it's a pretty fast loader ride. The launch is pretty amazing and it's so smooth. The only thing is that IT IS VERY SHORT! Like maybe a little over a minute? With people buying lightning lanes for it, there's $$ to be had. I'd feel gyped if I paid $20 for a one minute ride. Or later when VQ is done, waiting 60+ minutes for it. At least WDW Tron, saved me a whole lotta money by not having to go to Shanghai Disney to ride it. Ha!

Yelp
Tron is the newest ride to Magic Kingdom park. Just opening in the spring on 2023. A virtual que or lightning lane pass is needed in order to ride. Once in line, there are lockers that you can place all your belongings in for the ride. I highly suggest leaving everything as there is nothing on the ride itself to store your things. The ride is on the shorter side, however the thrill of the ride makes up for it. Speeding through the coaster outside and back inside is such a fun experience and to see those looking up watching gives such a fun vibe! The ride seats are not the most comfortable, but so the ride is short, it's tolerable!

Yelp
Even though the ride was short and I had to wait for my boarding group to be called, this was one of my favorite rides. You board your light cycle by leaning forward onto the knee pads as if you're riding a motorcycle. You're then off through the tracks even going outside for a bit. I wish the ride was longer but I will definitely want to ride this again.

Yelp
Whoa this ride is everything you want it to be and more! Lying down on one of those bikes made me feel incredibly awesome, and this was before it even took off. One of the best rides Disney has to offer for sure. Whilst definitely fast, it was very smooth and not once did I feel a flash of nausea (motion sickness) like I sometimes do with other rides. My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. They ask you to store bigger items such as backpacks, purses and hats in a locker as you can't take those on the bikes. The bike itself also has a small storage area for phone and sunglasses. The lockers are accessible from both sides and can be opened with the Magic Band or Park Entrance card (just like for the Lightning Lanes). It's all very well thought out. Honestly the whole area that leads up to the ride is worth it already as it is decorated in such a cool way I now want the walls in my house to lit up like that. They captured the theme perfectly and the music of Daft Punk is the cherry on top. The line did move slowly but given they were still in the testing/pre-launch phase I can easily forgive them that.

Yelp
Tron is an incredible coaster. Could it be longer? Yes! The ride is so smooth, the launch is exhilarating. Riding at night is amazing. The organization of the wait queue is pretty good. One of my favorite rides. Make sure to set your my Disney expedience alarm for 7am and do your best too try to grab your spot in the virtual queue! 5 stars!!

Yelp
Amazing ride themed as if you're on the grid! Newly opened in Feb 2023. Most of the queue line is outside but there is still some queue line on the inside. There is a show before you get in the ride which is quick so you know you'll be getting on soon. I would say the ride is less intense than rockin roller coaster at Hollywood studios, as there are no upside down parts to the ride track. However, the sitting/laying down part on the ride vehicle makes this more intense than space Mountain. Laying down on the ride can be a bit uncomfortable on the abdomen area. You can request which lightcycle to ride (front/back) but my understanding is there is a special ride vehicle for people who may be challenged with the laying down of the lightcycle. Definitely the most intense ride in Magic Kingdom so worth waiting to ride.

Yelp
Awesome ride from the films. It's something you needs to do when you visit the Magic Kingdom.

Yelp
Great new addition to Magic Kingdom. As of right now you either have to join a virtual queue at 7AM or 1PM or pay per person ($15-$20) to ride this ride. It's cool fast and fun but nothing super special about it. It's also only 45 seconds.

Yelp
Don't even bother. You will not be able to ride unless you know someone on the "inside", they force you to do this thing called virtual que which from what we just learned fills in 3 seconds and for those without connections will never be able to hit the 3 seconds mark to get a slot no matter what you do. I did it within 1 seconds and was not able to get in, that tells you something is fishy. Anyhow we spent a ton of money here for no reason...AND no cast member was ANY help whatsoever. The system is designed like a Vegas slot machine, it keeps sucking you in with more and more money with promised pay off, but all you're doing is throwing your money away only to be able to ride kiddie rides , old garbage rides or BS shows that no one wants to see but you need to burn time now right? What a disaster this place has become.

Yelp
A good addition to Tomorrowland This is the newest ride at the Magic Kingdom. It is located in Tomorrowland and I have watched it being built for months and then open on April 4, 2023. Currently, the ride has two ways of getting on: the virtual queue and the lightning lane. The virtual queue can be signed up by using the app and logging on at 7 am or 1 pm. That method is free. The other option is the lightning lane which cost $20/person for the day. The virtual queue was a long line that snaked all the way out of the building and seemed to take a long time. The lightning lane was quick by comparison and is a good way to go if your time is limited. The entrance has a look and feels like the movie tending toward black, blue, and white with hexagons, glass, and steel. There are lockers accessed using your wristband or Disney pass and a small compartment in the front of your light cycle for storing items that could fall out of your pockets. The ride has an unusual forward-leaning restraint system that some larger people may have challenges fitting. There are sample ones as you enter if you want to try them before having challenges on the ride. The ride is a roller coaster that starts you rolling outside the building first with a good starting speed and then brings you back in the structure. It is a good ride with loud music and tron-like graphics that follow the riders. Overall, it is a good ride that is interesting and exciting and I would suggest to Magic Kingdom visitors.
