Beautiful selection and presentation with surprises in each room. Great and helpful staff 👌

I recently visited Kunstmuseum Trondheim, and I had an incredible time. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the exhibitions are truly outstanding. The admission price is very affordable, even for a broke student like me. I initially went in to escape the rain, and I ended up staying for hours. After exploring the exhibitions, I relaxed in the cozy lobby on comfortable sofas, read a book, and browsed through a photo book of paintings. The free coffee available to all visitors was a nice touch. It was the perfect way to hide from the rain and spend time in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The permanent collection on exhibit is rather small. I found it uninteresting. There was this piece of digital art, a flickering screen with a monotonous chatting voice, that made it very difficult for me to focus on the paintings in the room, and in the adjacent rooms as well. It had a pause button that didn't work for me. A temporary exhibit of Else Hagen's works was much more satisfying. Uploaded are the annoying video and a painting of Else Hagen.

A prime example of why real art shouldn’t be blended with modern, gaudy crap made of rubbish. The real art is simply lost in it. Not all contemporary art is that terrible, of course, but that was the first time I felt sad for my wasted 160(+-something) nok…

Great artwork and powerful imagery from an often overlooked perspective. ❤️ We also found complimentary coffee and drawing supplies in a room.

Various works of art. Now has an exhibition on motherhood, one room dedicated to photos of mothers and their own words of being a mother in war torn countries.

Very beautiful art made by famous Norwegian artists. The exhibits are nice and interesting. I highly recommend this art museum if you want to experience Norwegian art.

Beautiful art and interesting exhibits, they offer a student discount for tickets. Was worth it to stop by!
