Tropic Wings Cairns Tours & Charters

I had an incredible day with Tropic Wings on their Kuranda Grand Tour. Everything was perfectly organised from start to finish – not a single moment wasted, and every detail taken care of. Our driver, Tony, was absolutely fantastic – informative, friendly, and clearly passionate about the area. The tour itself was packed with stunning scenery, unique attractions, and a great mix of activities. I can’t recommend it enough – a must-do if you’re in the Cairns area!

Wonderful day with Tropic Wings tour group. Tour included visit to Wildlife habitat in Port Douglas, Daintree River cruise, visit to Daintree rain forest, Cape Tribulation and lunch. Our guide for the day was Adrian and he did a terrific job. Knowledgable and you can see his heart is in it. Finished off with a visit to Daintree Ice Cream Company for exotic fruit ice cream.

Thanks so much to Lisa for taking us on such a wonderful adventure into the Daintree rainforest. We started at the animal sanctuary at Port Douglas which was well worth the visit, and we got some great photos of the cassowary little thinking we would see one on our trip. The highlight for us was the superb walk through the rainforest to the beach at the Cape. Lisa was so passionate and knowledgeable about the Daintree and it’s history.

We had an excellent guide called Dom. He was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife. He talked about it in a very interesting way. He took great care for the comfort of all participants. However, I think the tour was too long by at least 2 -3 hours. I would have loved to have stopped in Port Douglas for at least half an hour instead of walking through the rainforest we had already seen at the start of the tour. The meal served at the local bar was very tasty. Also, the ice cream we ate along the way was some of the best I've had in Australia.

I had an amazing experience on the Tropic Wings Cape Tribulation and Daintree Tour! The trip was well-organized, and each stop offered something unique and memorable. Our tour guide, Ben, was fantastic—he was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating stories about the area’s history, culture, and wildlife, which made the journey even more enjoyable. The highlights of the tour for me were the Wildlife Habitat and the stunning Daintree Rainforest, where I felt completely immersed in nature. The Daintree River Cruise was another standout moment—we were lucky enough to spot a wild crocodile in its natural habitat, which was thrilling to witness! Overall, it was a well-rounded trip filled with breathtaking views, exciting wildlife encounters, and plenty of interesting insights. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the beauty and diversity of the Daintree region.

Best itinerary out of the other travel groups. And great guide Lisa (who lived in the rainforest before and was able to provide really insider details)!!

Super beautiful and fun experience! So many gorgeous butterflies with lots of fun facts about them as well. 10/10 would recommend

Ben was our bus driver and tour guide to Daintree Rain Forest. He was very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Fox bats were nesting in the trees.
