I don’t even know where to start with my praise because every aspect of the hotel was simply outstanding – especially the team!||I stayed as a solo traveler in December 2024 for 12 days at the adults-only Tropical Attitude Hotel in Trou D’eau Douce. Originally, I had planned to switch hotels after 7 days, but the atmosphere (and everything about it) at Tropical Attitude was so wonderful that I just wanted to stay. And thanks to the overwhelming help of the reception team (Désiré, Cristel, Karen, and during the night shift, Dheeresh), who handled everything, I was actually able to extend my stay – a thousand thanks again for these exceptional efforts!||The hotel itself is, fortunately, neither too big nor too small – it feels similar to a boutique hotel. The manageable size and number of guests, combined with the adults-only policy, contribute significantly to the overall pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. The extraordinary cleanliness in every area (whether it’s the well-maintained garden/outdoor spaces, the rooms, or the restaurants) is also remarkable, allowing guests to feel completely at ease without worrying about hygiene issues.||The rooms (I stayed in the “Couple Deluxe Seafront” category) are beautifully designed and furnished, spacious, open, and offer a view of the sea. Each of these rooms also includes two sun loungers right by the water, just a few meters away. The shower and toilet are separate, the bathroom unexpectedly spacious, and both the bedroom and the large, cozy bed are very comfortable. The room/apartment is rounded off with a living room featuring a sofa, TV, and fridge.|It’s a space where you feel truly comfortable – though, of course, you’ll only use it for sleeping because the hotel has so much more to offer.||For example, the Bor Lamer and Kot Nou restaurants (as well as the snack truck Taba-J).
At Bor Lamer, you’ll find an abundant breakfast (buffet style and with live, freshly prepared delicacies), à la carte lunch, and buffet-style dinner. If you prefer a more à la carte experience and wish to enjoy local dishes in the evening, you should definitely reserve a spot at Kot Nou, where your palate will be delighted by culinary delights!||After visiting the restaurants, it’s worth stopping by the Sea U Bar to enjoy one (or two, or three…) cocktails while relaxing on the swings and letting your soul unwind.||In addition to the classic vacation activities (eating, drinking, and lounging by the pool :-), Tropical Attitude also offers various excursions. Whether it’s a glass-bottom boat adventure, a trip to the nearby Île aux Cerfs, or snorkeling tours – everything is possible.||These were my general impressions of the hotel (and I didn’t even use several areas, such as the spa or tea area, ...), which were consistently positive from start to finish.||What truly made this stay something special for me (and other guests, I talked to) was the team!
|The exceptional politeness and helpfulness in every single area, the friendly, relaxed, and fun conversations with various staff members, and most importantly, the amazing camaraderie within the team itself… it was incredibly positive. It was clear that the staff genuinely enjoy working at this hotel.
