The staff was wonderful; the hotel and grounds were well maintained and the location to the beach and restaurants was excellent. We were able to walk most everywhere and even the places we had to drive to, were only a couple of miles away, such as Siesta Village. There is a free bus that can take people around, but we didn't ever ride that. Looked like fun though.||||The room was more than adequate, and the bed was comfortable. Also, the shower was hot and powerful! We liked that!||||If we get a chance to return, we will certainly stay here again. It was perfect for a relaxing week at the Gulf.

Great location for crescent beach, close to shops and restaurants. A ten minute uber to siesta key village or take the free trolley bus.||Our room had just been refurbished, it was perfect! Everything was brand new, a couch and coffee table, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom. Parking was right outside the unit, which was handy. The new pool is beautiful! Three lovely waterfalls, tropical plants and a grilling area. Towels are provided. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed our brief stay at Tropical Beach Resorts! I loved the cute and ambient decor and details that they created around the setting. It truly felt like I was overseas in the tropics! The design of the "motel" is like attached cabanas that feels very beachy! The room was ample size, giving us space to put together breakfast in a kitchen-like area. They also provided a little space for table and chairs that partially separates from the bed area. It was create to be able to walk up a short path and get right on to the clean and amazing beach! Next time we are in town, we will not hesitate to book!

My family and I absolutely love staying here—it truly feels like our home away from home! We visit a few times a year and it never disappoints. Siesta Key is hands down the most beautiful beach in the USA. The sand is soft, the water is stunning, and the beach is just steps away. Plus, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. We can’t wait to come back!

This resort is the perfect location to just relax or get out and have a great time. The beach is fantastic and just a short walk away. ||||There are two pools that were lovely but I didn’t use them - I thankfully had amazing beach days for my entire stay. ||||The decor and aesthetic of my designer queen room was beachy and sparkly clean.||||I went on this trip alone and the front desk was extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. ||||Thank you, Brandy for being my personal direction guide. ||||I will be back - for sure

Google
We had the best time. The property is great and our room had everything that we needed, plus. The beach is beautiful and the property is as well. Family oriented and remarkably quiet. The front desk crew were really nice and helpful. The housekeeping staff is also outstanding. Other staff would ask if they could help us when they would see us. We can’t wait to come back.

If you like sandy beaches, calm waters of Siesta Key and looking for a budget friendly option - this is a resort for you. They provide towels, daily room service, parking spot. Meals are not included so you have an option to explore restaurants in the area. Your own or a rental car is a must. No beach chairs are included though - you can rent two beach longes and an umbrella for $35 a day on a beach - too steep in my opinion. Otherwise the weather was perfect and we enjoyed our time here.

My mom & I stayed at tropical beach resort last August. We had the best mother daughter trip with clean updated room, quick access to beach, & free trolly to get around. As I look to book another trip here I realized I never wrote a review and it’s definitely worth giving! Amazing area, great staff, beautiful resort. I look forward to starting a new tradition here, thank you tropical beach resort!

Yelp
This little resort was a pleasant surprise... 1) clean 2) towels & bedding super soft 3) 2 minute walk to private beach 4) king bed & pillows were awesome 5) accommodating staff 6) off of the main drag so no street noise 7) set up for a 2day stay or a 2week stay, everything we needed 8) great shower! Last, it was walking distance from pubs & eats - 5min drive to Siesta Village. Aces.

Yelp
This was our first trip to Tropical Beach Resorts but we are already planning our return trip! We plan our trips so that we are nearby to town amenities within walking distance and this is just perfect! A nice variety of restaurants and stores to keep us busy when we're not enjoying the beach and pool all day. The room was perfect size for us and a short walk to the beach. The pool was a nice size but it could use more umbrellas around the lounge chairs. Only 2 were available and always occupied. Another downside is the bathroom didn't have any space to hang wet towels or bathing suits to dry. Maybe adding a few hooks in the shower area could help? And possibly adding more shelves for toiletries since the bath vanity is small. None of these ruin our great time but they would enhance the experience for guests. We hope to be back soon!!

Yelp
We loved this place so much! Ask for a room in the Conclare building. These rooms are closest to the Crescent beach, which is only steps away. The sand is the softest I've ever felt and cool to the touch. Our spacious room was a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. It was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. The only negative is it's not pet friendly. We like to travel with our 2 small dogs, so we would have to stay elsewhere if they are with us next time.

Yelp
Overall, we really enjoyed Tropical Beach Resorts on Siesta Key in Florida. We had the smallest unit for three days at the end of the year. Pros: Great location with easy access to a very walkable beach and to the free trolley which goes to the village. The two heated pools made all the difference during a chilly week. Having a full kitchen was essential for us, and we saw people barbecuing in the nearby gazebo. The other real highpoint was the staff. In the office, they were so helpful and they offered free DVDs, popcorn, candy, tea, and coffee. Cons: When people say the smallest units are small, they mean REALLY small. Access on one side of the bed will require most people to turn sideways. We ended up rearranging the garbage can in the bathroom so we could squeeze into the toilet area easier. We also figured out on the last day that turning the kitchen garbage can allowed us to get into the refrigerator without trying to lean over the door (I am not sure why they didn't turn the refrigerator door around so it opens the right way.) Our unit also had a stove with no markings on any of the dials. We ended up asking for help to try to figure out how to set the temperature on the oven but partially figured out the positions ourselves by looking the stove up online). The only other thing to know is that the bed is relatively high, maybe 30 inches. That means that most cannot use it as an easy seating area since you need to hike yourself up a bit or use the side rail to step up. Still overall a great time!

Yelp
Disappointing if the only word i can use to describe my experience with staying at the tropical beach resorts. First of all while there to celebrate my wife's graduation, i was told a bottle of champagne would be inside my room once we arrived... that was a lie, then to find a couple bugs crawling around the room. Lastly how small the room actually was compared to the photos shown on their website. The prices of my room also dropped immensely during the week i came to stay when i booked nearly 5 months in advance paying almost $100 more per night so that hurt too. The only reason 2 is being given is due to the prime location is it based at.

Brujita C.

Yelp
Amazing place and staff. Very calm and relaxing. Near to the beach. We will be back!!

Claire C.

Yelp
Enjoyed our 2nd stay at Tropical beach resorts. Steps to the beach, clean and comfortable accommodations, walking distance to several restaurants, grocery store, souvenir shops and ice cream! Last time we were here they had first come first serve beach chairs fee of charge which was very convenient, but now you need to rent chairs.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Customer service is key!!! The location is right by the beach with a ton of other hotels. The property isn't anything special with two average pools. But what makes this property four stars is the customer service. When we arrived to check in Dom gave my daughter a stuffed animal. That just made her vacation!!! They have coffee from 8 to 10pm daily. Plus Dvd with popcorn you can get, which I thought was lame until a thunderstorm ruined our plans. My daughter loved picking out a movie. Plus our room was immaculate. If you are going to stay in Siesta key, I would stay here!!!

Trey Q.

Yelp
Our first night here we had no AC. The room kept getting hotter and hotter through the night. we contacted the front desk the next day and the maintenance guys first recommendation was to shut the AC off in the middle of the day for a couple hours because he said the system was froze up. obviously living in Florida that's brutal and just about torture ! they finally moved us to a different room which is very outdated ! not near as nice as a room that I originally paid for. it's been a mess. This trip was very important to me and it's been quite embarrassing. I took my wife here for her birthday and Mother's Day gift.

Yelp
I absolutely love this cozy resort. It's our first choice for a quick, local getaway. Highlights include: *Super clean, tastefully-decorated efficiency rooms. *Two pools to choose from. *Short walk to an award-winning beach with soft, sugar sand. *Beautifully-kept grounds. *BBQ grills provided for guests. *Free WiFi that actually works, and works well! *Kitchens in the room are stylish and include everything you need. Also makes it easy to save money and/or enjoy healthy snacks, beach lunches, etc. - Publix two miles away! If only staying a few nights, consider packing a handful of ziplock style baggies for toting snacks to beach and maybe a small container of your favorite coffee. :) *Local casual restaurants within walking distance to hotel, even a late night pizza place that delivers until 3 a.m. Parking can be a pain if heading to popular hotspots - save yourself time and stress, cab or Uber it! Do yourself a favor, do NOT leave the area without stopping at Owen's Fish Camp (ten minute ride to artsy historical section) for an early dinner - call ahead (reservations only for larger parties) or get there by 5/5:30, otherwise be prepared for a lengthy wait.

Yelp
Never disappoints. My favorite motel. Harkens back to "old Florida". Could have stayed closer to my event on Punta Gorda, a mile away, but love this place. Lacks nothing (but everyday maid service due to COVID).

D S.

Yelp
Ridiculously small room for $360 a night. Could not turn around without stepping over furniture. Towels are crap. Place is filled with signs saying don't do this, don't do that. We travel a lot and picked this place to be near family on Siesta Key. Never again.

Ale L.

Yelp
The location to the beach makes this place super convenient. Appreciate the kitchen and proximity to nightlife. Pools are small and overrun with children and loud music. The price to stay here is expensive and they still charge you to use the bikes. Beach chairs are $33+ per day. I don't really recommend staying here.

Minelia M.

Yelp
We stayed here for 4 nights during thanksgiving week, and it was the best decision ever, service was amazing, location was perfect, the mini blockbuster at the lobby was the best, every single amenity was perfectly planned, we are definitely staying here again soon

Hayley G.

Yelp
Had a cockroach in our room and maintenance was more apologetic than the front desk workers. The place is cheap and rundown. Too cheap to provide beach chairs and umbrellas like every other resort on the beach does. They expect you to pay $32 a day for two chairs and an umbrella from a rental company. Wouldn't go back.

Becky D.

Yelp
My first visit to Siesta Key. I came with a friend who's been coming here for many years. Firstly: we had to move rooms twice because of roaches. Secondly: I find it ridiculous to pay for the use of a lounge chair and umbrella. Thirdly: the beach guy (I believe his name was Mike) on day 2 and 3 (Sep 28th and 29th) was incredibly rude when my friend didn't give him a tip. I would have been more than happy to tip him after the fact had he not been such a jerk! The area is nice. Beaches and water no where near as clean as it's reputation.

Angie S.

Yelp
Surprised, but my room actually looked just like it did on the website. It was clean and comfortable since I was there for a friend's wedding. It was strange, but it seems there are 3 parts to this hotel and a few others are right on the same property. There are no ocean views, but the water is only a short few minute walk away. Before going down to the water, don't forget a beach towel and lounge chair. If not, then you can pay for chairs and an umbrella, which seemed ridiculous. If you like to snorkel, go across the street to rent gear at the bike shop, it's much cheaper than the hotels. There are no restaurants on site, but in the morning be sure to stop by the breakfast cart guy! I missed it since he took vacation the week I was there, but heard he serves awesome breakfast sandwiches! If you are hungry, there are is a restaurant or 2 just across the street about 1/3 mile. I also bought snacks and lunch foods to make in my small kitchen in the room. There is a flower shop, convenient store, gas station, liquor store and fish market just across the street. Use the free open sided taxis to get around town, it just easier than driving all the time for a big group. FREE: Wifi Ocean-side yoga Cookies, pink lemonade, candy at front desk Bottle of wine w/coupon DVD rental for your room

Tara S.

Yelp
This hotel is just a few steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida. All rooms appear to be exterior corridor/motel style - parking by the guest room door. The rooms are clean and fully equipped with silverware, plates, glasses, full oven/stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, kettle, medium sized refrigerator with separate freezer, tv/dvd, safe and free WiFi. The front desk was very helpful. I arrived in an oversized vehicle and they worked to find appropriate parking nearest to my room. I am here on business but would certainly come back for vacation. My only complaint is that the bed is a little lumpy... everything seems to be new or newly renovated with the exception of the bed. There are a few restaurants/bars in walking distance and it's only short drive or bike ride from downtown Siesta Key.

Rita M.

Yelp
Great place. I think me and hubby found our annual vacay spot! SUPER NICE staff. They have so many activities on location. About a quarter a block walk to the white sandy beach! FREE beach towel AND beach chair use (you just have to sign it out at the front desk and return it by the end of the day). Nice intimate rooms. Up to date appliances. We stayed next door to a couple who has been coming to this place every yr for FORTY ONE YRS!!!!!! What does THAT say about this place?!?! Free dvd rentals in the main office. Free reserved parking. Check out is 10:00, but you can move your car to guest parking and still use the beach chairs and towels to lounge on the beach (our flight wasn't until 4:30 pm, so what better thing to do but lounge on the beautiful beach?) I LOVE your grounds and staff and pls know, you will have a loyal customer annually!!!!

Chelsea E.

Yelp
Excellent place to stay, 40 second-4 minute walk from the beach depending how fast you are, free coffee in the rooms and the office daily , clean pool ‍ , friendly service. Walking distance from multiple restaurants and cafes. Assigned parking for your car. What impressed me the most was the condition of the room every time I returned. Everything was clean and restocked, including paper towels for the kitchen and the bath and body works shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. Fully stocked kitchen, dish rack, ice trays, glasses, toaster, and much more. I left a note for myself to remind me to bring stuff when I left one morning and someone called me to clarify if that note was for them. They wanted to make sure it wasn't an instruction for them. Very thoughtful on their end. The only downfall I can think of is noise at night. There was a party that went into wee hours of the morning (it didn't wake me but my friend saw it). Didn't affect my stay at all and not sure if management had control over it or even if it was on their property (other places to stay all around, so it could've been a different place). I highly recommend this place!

Gary G.

Yelp
Just a fantastic place. It's basically a few old motels, reworked in excellent fashion, all in the same little area. We've never, ever had a problem here, at least not one that wasn't handled immediately. Parking can get a little tight, but it's not impossible. Rooms are nice, relaxing. (I described it as a vacation valium... total chill out) Beach is practically RIGHT there. Two pools. I've stayed in almost every section of the property over many years. When I first stayed here, it was a fluke... an $84/Night internet special we happened upon while returning north from a Key West stay! We were hooked, and have come back every year (usually January) since. They even did us a "babymoon" (with chilled sparkling grape juice in the fridge!) when we were expecting our son, and his first beach visit was the next year. He has a blast here, and loves to go to "Flowda". Sadly (but great for Tropical Shores), the popularity has caused the prices to rise to where it's tough for us to afford it any more. (we now have another child, so you know how that affects the bottom line) It makes me sad, cause it'll be like losing a friend, not being able to swing staying here anymore. If you can budget a stay here, DO IT. It's a fantastic place, and the staff have never been less than great and welcoming. Dawn is just as nice as she seems in these review responses. You will not regret staying here, and you WILL want to return as soon as possible. You're not going to find a nicer, more relaxing place on Siesta Key. Honest. (sigh) We'll miss the place until we can afford it again.

Nikki L.

Yelp
Nice beach motel. Overall room was clean and nice. No frills. Beach chairs should be included with stay instead of having to rent every time you go to the beach.

Rob C.

Yelp
The resort does a great job of keeping up with the property. I was treated like a king from the moment I arrived until the time I left! The customer service is off the charts! Free snacks and water in the front office was wonderful! Our room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable with great pillows ! Definitely a place I'll return for another visit!! More than well worth the money!

Margie M.

Yelp
Our trip required a stay so we stayed at tropical beach resort it was fantastic the people were very friendly it was like I have known them for years the housing was very clean everything I needed was there the body was smelled great I had to find out where to buy it the land scape was clean and beautiful they have bikes beach chairs hot tub swimming pools I was so amazed about this place I am going to have a family reunion there they have 8 bedrooms and 8 and a half baths if I could give more than 5 stars I would try it

Pete F.

Yelp
Well, it's been sometime now and felt it was definitely worthy of writing a negative review. I will start by saying my wife and I have stayed at the Tropical Resorts more than a few times. Further my parents and In-laws have also stayed at the Tropical Resorts more than a few times. In November, 2021 my wife and I stayed for 4 nights which totalled $1200.00. After check out in the morning, we stayed in the area. Later that afternoon we were in a coffee shop in Sarasota, and my wife realized that she left her two piece rose gold & white gold diamond necklace w mother/baby daughter behind. She knew exactly where she left it. (On the bookshelf type shelving separating the room from living area.)  She called the front office, identified herself & gave an exact description of her sentimental piece of jewelry.  After about 10 minutes, the attendant that answered the phone got back on the phone and said, "We found the thin rosegold chain w a "C", is that what you are missing?" My wife said there is a mother/baby charm with a diamond on a white gold. The two pieces were essentially attached together.  As the conversation continued, I drove toward the resort.  The attendent stated that was all the maid found.  The attendant then put the manager on the phone who said the maid left for the day, and it was her day off the following day.  My wife advised that we were going to be on the way and would call the police for a report. This clearly wasn't missing, it was STOLEN. The low-life maid (as the Manager informed us she had been the only one in the room after we left) figured to take the part w the white gold charm & diamond and leave the dainty rosegold necklace behind. Seriously, I could have given the loser $300 cash, so they could have skipped the 2 step process of being a thief and then having to sell to a pawnshop. At No One Point did we ever get any type of compensation from management.  I am aware it is not the managers fault. But they have continously sent general emails to their customers offering a fourth night free with 3 night stay.  REALLY? With this being said management could have issued some type of refund for one of the nights seeing my wife was so upset for having something so sentimental STOLEN from her. It's wrong and Unacceptable. Not us, nor our families will ever step another foot on their properties. This is a review of absolute truth. 100 %. If you are thinking about reservations, you should really reconsider. If it happened to us, it could definitely happen to you.  Know that even though management didn''t take it, they did not care to resolve the problem in anyway. Clearly they showed no concern or respect for their guests.  As for the person that took the piece of Jewerly, the man above will take care of that.

Yelp
Visited 03/23/2019 - 03/30/2019 After a week of waking up to gorgeous sunrises in Melbourne Beach, we drove over to Siesta Keys to enjoy their beautiful sunsets. Every night we were here, the sunset was more gorgeous than the night before. We definitely lucked out. This place offers cute cottage like efficiencies... Ours was a one bedroom with a little kitchen and a TINY closet in the bathroom... which is really the only fault we could find with this place The suite has large tile floors throughout... no rugs, which made my Mrs. happy. Much easier to sweep up the sand from the beautiful beach at the end of the block. The kitchen, while small, is very workable... pots, pants, dinnerware, cups/saucers, glasses and even wine glasses. We brought some cheerios and some fruit for a few breakfasts which worked out well. But that's all we made... no lunches or dinners. Well... we did warm up some leftovers a time or two... but that's it. They do have those little single serve packets of coffee in the room, but they also have coffee already made in the office, available pretty much all day and night. (Regular, decaf and Jamaica-me-crazy) I loved the Jamaica me crazy coffee... Strong with a hint of caramel and vanilla. The short road leads you to the beach where the sand is fine, white and beautiful here, all up the entire beach... very fine and never really gets foot burning hot like it gets in NJ. The staff is very friendly willing to answer any questions or concerns we had which were very minor. They also offer beach towels, and a ton of movie DVDs to choose from free of charge. We really like this place and have already commented on maybe coming back again next year. We'll see.

Jonnell S.

Yelp
We would stay here again and I hope we get to. It's really a gem! You can't get any closer to the beach, and it's the nicest beach I've been to in the US. They had recently renovated and our room (a studio) was small but charming. Our room and the property were spotlessly clean (I'm picky about that). A couple of nice pools are available if you don't like the beach. There are several areas around the room to lounge and gas grills to use as well. You can check out beach towels at the office and rent umbrellas and chairs for a very reasonable fee daily. The staff is so friendly and gave us great suggestions on places to visit and eat in the area. Several good restaurants just across the street. I couldn't find anything wrong here, it was all exactly what we'd hoped for. I can't wait to go back - highly recommend!

Jonel Y.

Yelp
Updated pics of the heated pool (one of two). As usual, we got the studio type. Kitchen is full of useful utensils, dishwasher soap/sponges are provided. Definitely a home away from home. For the price that we got, we're getting the value.

Anna B.

Yelp
Nice rooms. Clean and well equipped. Motel style single level drive-up rooms with two basic pools which always had fresh towels. Close walk to beach but it's on the road, NOT the beach. Friendly enough staff but I just failed to see the value. I guess this is what people on the east coast are willing to pay for white sand? I definitely expected something a little more high end after paying $750 for two nights. I had the siesta key experience though, and it was lovely! I probably won't return unless it is to rent a private home. We appreciated the full kitchen and big bathroom but the room itself was pretty petit. There's a nice Publix down the road.

Lisa C.

Yelp
This resort is in a fantastic location. The room we had was decorated beautifully with a complete kitchen. Very clean. The staff could not have been more welcoming. The beach (crescent beach) is minuets from our room. Restaurants and store are within walking distance. There is free transportation that can take you to Siesta Key Village which has 75 to 100 shops and restaurants. Everything and anything you need is in this location. Tropical Beach Resort is in a great location, the rooms are not your typical hotel room and the staff is top notch.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
We just got back today, the staff was amazing. The location was amazing! We couldn't have asked for anything more. The rooms were super clean, they cleaned up every day(much needed with little ones covered in sand) we had a 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for my family of 5. The beach is breath taking, I highly recommend this hotel you won't be disappointed. Also we left something in the room and they agreed to mail it to my home

Fred E.

Yelp
We really had a great time staying here! Staff was great, love all the amenities, beach access is so nice! Location is amazing, we just arrived, parked and never touched our rental car again. Great food and drink within a very short walk! We will definitely be back!

Gia D M.

Yelp
Overall, a nice laid-back no frills vacation. First, what this is not: this is not a high-end 5 star resort or hotel. So I made sure to set that expectation for myself. What it is, is those motel-type beach efficiencies. These tend to be older, not super clean, and mildewy smelling from years near the sea. Thankfully, Tropical Shores is none of that either. These modest rooms were modern, well laid out, and very clean! We debated between getting a 1 bedroom or studio and chose the smallest room option. It's small but had everything we needed. We did not want to cook on this trip although we could have with a working kitchenette with full fridge. It was perfect for our needs - washing and cutting fruit and storing snacks and drinks. There are also shared grills outside on the grounds. What made a particularly good impression were the little family touches: collective bins with beach toys to borrow; towels and beach chairs, treats, lemonade and coffee in the office as well as a DVD library for movies. It's a very family focused set up. Very cute and thoughtful. And short walk to the beach (down a road; not beachfront fyi), and beach yoga some mornings made it for me. That's the good. Here's the meh: Buildings are in that U shaped motel set up. I didn't love that all the rooms face a parking lot - and the other rooms - but it is what it is. They did place us in a corner-ish room as private as it could get (which isn't really private, but they tried!). What I didn't like at all was the pool. Super small and basic and not to scale given the number of accommodations & people. It just wasn't enjoyable at all. We went once and didn't go back. But can walk to the beach so we did that instead. Customer service was ok. Good when booking but could have been friendlier in person. Takeaway: In the end, we are glad to have found Siesta. It's a very cute place. Love the trolley bus to take you around town so you can take a break from driving and dealing with parking. Not epic shopping but some cute beachey souvenir shops (tho it does get old quickly) and some good foodie places to eat. We ended up going back the next month - but rented a house. If you are going to pick this style of accommodation - which I think are generally more miss than hit- then Tropical Shores is a good option. But this motel is not cheap, and for that same homey laidback vibe & no high-end resort amenities, we have found it a better deal to just rent your own place.

Bob B.

Yelp
I enjoyed my stay at Tropical Beach Resorts in Siesta Key. They are just off the beach. No ocean views but a short walk to the sand. They are about 2 miles from Siesta Key Beach and you can walk there along the ocean. The place is well kept and cozy. Room was clean and had kitchenette. It's peaceful and quiet. I found it relaxing. Midweek prices are pretty reasonable - weekends, not so much. It's not a 4-star resort, so keep that in mind if they have 4-star prices. They do offer a free DVD library and free beach chair loan out, so at least there is that. This place is definitely good for families as well as couples or solo travelers. Everyone was pretty easygoing.

Melissa F.

Yelp
I have stayed here 3 times now. The people at the front desk super nice super helpful. The rooms are decent has a kitchenette which is nice and you can walk to the beach. You can rent chairs and bikes and paddle boards. There's a trolly that will take you to town. You can walk to the coffee shop in the morning . We do honestly love it here. I am from Florida. I am aware red tide is present.. what's disappointing is not one of the resorts over here have anyone on clean up for the dead fish everywhere. Flys everywhere. This is a private beach why is no one out there doing clean up like other hotels down the beach? I mean the smell is awful it's honestly makes you cough. I feel bad for people who spends thousands of dollars to come to Florida, and siesta is truly a gorgeous beach but this is what they are getting? I can't understand why there's no maintenance on the beach helping clean up for guest to enjoy their stay. Due to red tide the pool is packed out.. It's not a large pool and many people came and had nowhere to sit so they went and go their beach chairs. There's no music playing there's no drinks being served. Luckily we had our JBL boom otherwise it was just awkward silence or listening to others conversations. Anyway we will avoid Siesta during summer from now on but will likely stay again maybe in like October.

Yelp
Beautiful location. Clean room, location is great. It's a little far from the "village" but it's only a 7-10 min drive away. Lots to do and great places to eat near by. I hope I can come back some day!

Yelp
We needed a place to stay for 3 nights while we surprised my sister for a significant birthday. Our very late arrival was not a problem for the office staff. They informed me that they would leave a packet in the mailbox at the check-in office for us and we could then complete our check-in when we woke up in the morning. We had booked the room through American Express and when I checked in I was informed that there was an $11.22/day additional charge since the booking was through Orbitz. My wife was aware of this. The grounds are well maintained with nice flowers and the staff were all very friendly. Our room was a small mini-efficiency that was sufficient for our short stay. It had a king sized bed, bar height table with two stools, chest of drawers, compact refrigerator, sink, microwave and electric stovetop. The bathroom had a corner shower (no tub), sink and toilet. You could tell that the room was an older room by the age of some of the fixtures, but it was kept clean. The bed was comfortable but was also the best place to see the flat screen TV unless you turned it toward the high-top table. The TV system included a dvd player. Free Wi-Fi was also available. While the room had a coffee maker and packets of coffee, there was also free coffee available in the front desk. We did not take advantage of the swiming pool. A dedicated parking space is provided in front of your room. The location is good since it is just a few minutes walk to the beach. It is also close to the southern most bridge from Siesta Key to the mainland, so there is less traffic than at the northern bridge by the town center.

Yelp
What a gem of a spot on crescent beach on Siesta Key. Very clean resort. Accommodations were on spot. It's a quick walk to the most beautiful beach in the country. The staff aims to please. Front desk ladies were always welcoming and so very accommodating for every need. We will be back. Would highly recommend this wonderful resort to everyone

Yelp
This is the best beach resort I have stayed yet! facilities and room are well maintained and very clean. Staff is friendly. With a 3YO I was worried that we would be far from the beach but they put us in a room that was a 3 minute walk from the beach. They provide their guests with everything you may need, even complimentary beach chairs, beach toys and all! The beach was absolutely gorgeous, I highly recommend this resort!

Yelp
This resort has plenty of rooms and parking. Rested just steps from the beach, this resort is cute and quaint. Cutely decorated in Florida decor and light colors, it gives a very relaxed feel. Heated pool. Bbqs, beach chairs and games. This place has it all. We are traveling with about 45 family members for a family reunion they were easily able to accommodate us. We have a 2 bedroom unit that comes with a full kitchen and small living area. Lots of restaurants with in walking and driving distance. Cant wait to explore this beautiful beach town and resort!

Yelp
We were on a business trip and needed a place to to stay last minute so I found this place that looked like they had pretty good reviews. Once we arrived the front desk could have been a bit more friendly but she changed her mood later to a more pleasant tone. Since we were checking in later and leaving the next day we just booked a standard studio. Bad idea since those rooms are older and in need of renovations. We walked in and walked out from the strong chemical cleaning smell that was trying to hide the mold. The lady at the front desk acted like she's doing me a favor by moving me to the designer efficiency room that costs 10$ more to book. She told me she wasn't going to charge me for it. Well if you took care of your other rooms I wouldn't of had to move in the first place. This hotel just reopened and there was barely anyone there so moving us to another room was not hard. The new room smelled better since it had central air but again they just reopened and forgot to maybe tidy up and clean up the dust. The bed was old and you sunk in. Overall the hotel pros are the rooms have kitchens and they are walking distance to beach. If they just renovated and updated the place then it's worth the money they are charging in high season. If you are going to book I suggest booking the higher priced rooms.

Yelp
I highly highly recommend. My parents loved it so much. The room was all clean and seemed to be updated. They have the private access to the beach so it wasn't crowded at all. They even let u borrow beach chair for free. They even let u use beach towels for free too. Also u get an assigned parking, so never have to worry about your car. Front desk people were so nice and I can't find anything negative about this place!!!!!!

Yelp
Love this place. The staff is friendly. The rooms are amazing; a small kitchen, nice comfy bed, tile floors and clean. The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils and dishware. Clean linens and towels. A short walk to the beach, maybe 1000 ft. I got the best night sleep of my whole vacation here. And quiet to top it off.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at this resort for one night. When we checked in, I mentioned that we were meeting friends from California to celebrate my birthday that day. We left for lunch, and when we returned to go to our room, waiting for me was a birthday card and bottle of wine! Absolutely fabulous! So in addition to their thoughtfulness, they were positively the kindness people to be greeted by at a hotel. The room was spotless, and our friends wished they could have changed their hotel for ours! We will definitely stay at Tropical beach Resort in Siesta Key again.

Yelp
One of the last 'motel' style resorts on the key. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Pools are great. They provide towels and beach chairs. Free movies. Free coffee and shuffle board. Great courtyards with gas grills. Easy guest parking. Mostly a mix of families and old folks, with a few younger Euros mixed in. You walk maybe 100-200 yards to beach access. I do not understand why others are complaining about that fact. You are right at 'point of rocks' which is a decent fishing spot. Powder sand. Shallow waters make it safe for the non swimmers. During off season you can get 140-150$ queen. Perfect for us and our five year old. Full kitchens. Large bathrooms. Location is amazing. Grocery, liquor store, pizza... all within walking distance. Lots of delivery options as well. You can take free ride (must tip) to goto Siesta village. Takes 3-5 mins. Yes you are going to pay high rates during season. It's all about location. I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
I can't say enough nice things about this resort. The comforts of home with the ambiance and amenities you'd expect for the price point and then some. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping is on point and leaves plenty of toiletries after each cleaning service. The room itself feels like IKEA went to the beach, which I mean in the best sense. We were there for a brief mid-week getaway for our 3rd wedding anniversary, and there was a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. We arrived late, but they had everything we needed in a dropbox by the office. They simply allowed us to complete the registration process the following morning. If you're in Siesta Key, this place is perfect for a romantic, relaxing escape. Just a few moments' walk to the beach with an excellent breakfast spot within walking distance as well, The Toasted Mango. We didn't want to leave, and we can't wait to go back!!
