Amazingly located little hotel, it’s right on the main street. It’s quite old but as long as you have a bed and a pool to relax during scorching summer days, what else do you need? Great attention to small details. E.g. there’s sunscreen, lotion for sunburn, antiseptic, OFF! Outside the pool. There’s a black towel to wipe the face after cleaning make up, $2.5 beer cans to purchase on the way to the pool. There’s also a sink the the bedroom :) the pool is SUPER refreshing! It’s covered by palms so it doesn’t get too hot. You can take bicycles for a ride, there are noodles for the pool - just come and enjoy! Overall, loved it.

My husband and I stayed at the Tropical inn for our honeymoon. It was exactly what we were looking for, intimate and relaxing. The garden/pool area is hidden beneath beautiful trees and plants. Our room was simple and had all the amenities you would need. Reception was helpful, courteous and kind. We would recommend this location to anyone looking for an intimate oasis with front door access to shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

Located about 1/2 way down Duval Street, this location was the perfect location to walk Duval street and not need a car. Candace and Brandi were the perfect hosts. They went way out of their way to make sure we had the perfect vacation. We ate breakfast at the hotel about 1/2 of the days we were there which was 5 nights and there was something for everyone in our group. Our room was exceptionally clean and contained everything we needed. If I were to have one small complaint, the bathroom was tight but the shower spacious so that made up for it. The grounds were beautiful and the pool nice and warm. We spent many hours sitting around the pool where there were always lounge chairs and seating available. Already planning on returning in a couple years and wouldn’t change a thing.

Our stay at the Tropical Inn in Key West was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the charm and cleanliness of our room—it was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the tub in the Tuckaway suite—after a long day of exploring, it was pure bliss to soak and relax. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of the action, making it easy to walk to all the best spots in Key West. A special shoutout to Brandi, the innkeeper, who truly went above and beyond! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and even called to keep us updated on road closures due to a wildfire, ensuring we had a smooth travel experience. Her attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a perfect mix of comfort, convenience, and outstanding service, Tropical Inn is the place to stay! We can’t wait to return!

Google
Amazing place to stay however parking is a pain. The inn is super close to literally everything you could possibly want to eat. The hosts were accommodating and honestly felt like you had your own little apartment/cabin lol. 😊 pool and hot tub were amazing as well.

Our sixth time here and it doesn't disappoint. Great atmosphere, snacks available for minimal cost, free coffee and tea. The pool is great and heated. The hot tub was not working but the pool was warm enough to make up for it. Candice, Brandi and the staff keep the place running smooth and will do anything you ask them. Rooms are comfortable and priced accordingly for key west.

Google
We loved the Tropical Inn! Brandi provided exceptional service. She was very kind and helpful with all of our questions. The location was perfect for us, too. It was on the quieter end of Duval Street. The back area was serene and well kept. The hot tub was perrrrrfect after a long day of walking. We will def be back!

The Tropical Inn is in a perfect location being right on Duval Street. The staff was very friendly and they kept our room, the common areas, and the pool area spotless. The Tropical Inn is close to several neighborhood restaurants and the Hemingway House. We will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
5 stars hands down. After a week in marathon, we decided to shoot down to Key West for a "last" night aside from family...When I tell you, this was completely last minute, it was 4pm the day before & I just picked a random local spot that we thought looked nice instead of opting for a basic hilton hotel. Originally was going for a room in the main house, but decided to spend a tad more for our own retreat in one of the cottages and boy did we get that. So much in fact that we opted for a second night as soon as we saw the place. We stayed in the pineapple cottage, was around $300 (taxes included) a night, pricier than others, but quite frankly was an amazing deal for being right on Duvall and having everything we did + during peak season. With all the amenities & things available we probably would've paid twice as much on Airbnb. We will most definitely be back and will be telling all of our friends. Things we LOVED *intimate, romantic, to ourselves and so relaxing. Absolutely perfect for a lil couples getaway. *gorgeous pool/garden area *had our own space, front&back porch, no down or upstairs neighbors to hear *free coffee/Keurig *spacious fridge *private hot tub (literally timed, ready and turned on in the evening for us) *big COMFY bed *robes & good towels *great shower with lasting hot water *available basic breakfast that was delivered to us in a cute basket *parking spot *accessibility, The Inn is on Duvall, but our cottage was on the backside street behind, no noise problems but got to jam out to the music if we sat outside and so good for being able to walk around and shoot right back to the room when needed, we could walk everywhere and didn't feel worn out *COLDDDD a/c *smelled great and was super clean *the property as a whole is gorgeous *the sweetest people, brandi was AMAZING. *tv with roku *full soap dispenser in shower that smells great Theres so much more i could rave about this place. The only singular thing id say that it was missing & its not even negative or experience altering, i wish there was a hair dryer available...& maybe a bathroom door thats a little more private LOL (its a louvered door)

Yelp
Lovely inn. I do recommend. Our room was the Courtyard suite. We had a private patio. The breakfast basket was nice in the morning, nothing too too fancy; hard boiled eggs, little boxed cereal, organic milk juice box, or a toasted bagel... nothing with a lot of love but completely fine. A recommendation for breakfast, a slip to fill out for the breakfast order maybe the night prior or the morning-of or maybe an included timeframe of breakfast. Maybe the order could be collected before arrivals so that staff can pick up the order and drop it off without a phone call in the morning. I say this because the morning we were leaving the lady was giving a tour, and I could tell she was running around, and here I was in my pjs no bra, asking for breakfast in front of other guests. Felt strange. One morning I called to order breakfast and asked if coffee could be delivered which to my surprise...the front desk lady replied, " I am not a barista" which I was taken aback by but maybe she thought that was a charming answer. Not sure. When I was into the inn to make my own coffee she said something like, " I wouldn't want to mess it up" and at that point, I wanted the coffee and was all set talking about it. Our room offered completely zero outside light. The windows opened which was nice but an overall dark room because if the blinds were open...the room had zero privacy...zero. The pool is blocked by trees so, it's not a lot of overhead sun which we didn't mind but if you are looking for a nice tan this is not the inn for you. Don't worry about sunblock, after sun lotion or beach towels the inn has them for guests to use which was a nice treat. The inn offers beer, coffee, tea, wine, water, juice, pop, on an honor system... a tip is recommended which I thought was nice and did throw some cash, in the jar, as there is a Karma sign hanging, to haunt you otherwise. I liked the vibe of the inn, the mattress was comfortable, nice water pressure in the bathroom. A odd thing was champagne in a glass case, no clue who long it was in there for or if was something to buy as I think it was going for 85 dollars but it wasn't advertised. The laminated one pager inside of the room: could have been updated to reflect breakfast, bikes, or champagne offers as I do not recall seeing it so, I would have been another conversation with the staff. Anytime I did call, as I asked for an extra luggage rack and for maid service, I was so please to find everything was provided or taken care of. The inn also offers bikes which are 20 dollars more, I couldn't believe it wasn't included within the cost of the inn but so- it- goes, staff leaves at five so if you do not talk to them, you will not have information about the bikes as mentioned I didn't see it inside of the room or posted anywhere it might be on their email link. I would recommend this inn as its close to beaches shops, bars, breakfast spots, etc.

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Checked in today. Far exceeded my expectations and pictures do not do it justice. Staff is awesome, great perks like free coffee and honor bar, free breakfast and awesome location. I'm out back and don't hear a sound even though centrally located on busy Duval. I will stay here again when back in Key West.

Yelp
The room and facility were wonderful but they do not provide proper locks to ensure security of the guests' property and personal safety. I returned to the Inn at 8:30 PM with my wife from dinner to find a guest was blackout drunk and had fallen, leaving a bloody gash on his forehead. The guest was yelling obscenities and struggling to open the door to a room. The guest left the front door open on busy Duval St. while waiting for an ambulance and then a taxi, yelling in the streets all the while. I did not appreciate having to wait for a half-hour down the block because I knew the guest would leave the door open after leaving, which occurred as predicted. Obviously the guest returned late at night and woke us up while partying in the courtyard (a charming courtyard nonetheless). While the Tropical Inn may not be able to control the behavior of its guests, they did not provide guests with the keys to the dead bolt locks to their rooms and the front door. The locks on the handles allow for doors to be forced open. The front desk was courteous upon checking-in, but when checking-out they simply explained to me that Key West doesn't have any crime so I had nothing to worry about, not admitting that they simply have keys to the secure locks that guests are not able to use. I responded that there must be crime, particularly trespassing, with hundreds of drunk people walking the streets from sun-up to sun-down. Also, a club down the street plays music until 2 AM, although I expected this on Duval St. All in all the hotel was welcoming and the property charming but they were not willing to accept responsibility for a problem they know exists, considering they instructed us on the funny locks to the doors upon check-in.

Yelp
Wow hidden gem! We had the pleasure of spending 3 beautiful days relaxing by the pool and in the hot tub surrounded by beautiful greenery. We had a private room which was beautifully decorated and was super comfortable! The property is centrally located to everything we wanted to see as well as restaurants. Definitely would recommend a stay if you want to unwind and relax! Thank you to our wonder hosts. Keep it up. This place is AMAZING!

Yelp
I very much enjoyed staying there for 2 nights. Great space - some rooms are in separate small houses. The shared space is like a tropical garden with small pool and a hot tub. The room was clean and neat. Very friendly staff. Call them directly to reserve a room!

Yelp
Gorgeous setting. The staff were abundantly easy to work with. We absolutely loved our night in Conch Courtyard and would recommend this place to any couple looking for a beautiful getaway in Key West but with everything right outside your front door. Great recommendations were given regarding food and things to do during our one night stay and the wine tasting voucher for next door was a special treat!

Yelp
Friendly, family-owned inn, which is a peaceful oasis on Key West's busiest street! Convenient location - within walking distance to nearly everything! The inn's courtyard - including pool, waterfall feature, and hot tub - is an unexpected, peaceful oasis! Highly recommend this "gem!"

Yelp
Be very very careful of the cancellation policy. We were forced to cancel our 25th anniversary trip due to the pandemic and they kept the cancellation fee. Turns out, they would not even be open for our arrival, yet they STILL kept the cancellation fee. Money, for literally nothing. If you take money for a service, that you cannot even provide..I personally call that theft. 'You should to buy travel insurance". We did and most don't cover pandemics. We were offered a voucher, assuming we could just pick up and run there when this is over. Capitalism over humanity.

Yelp
Interesting that only 3 reviews have been written in the past 4+ years for Tropical Inn. My first Key West trip was enjoyed in large part due to where we stayed. Stayed in one half of the cabana and it was large enough for a couple who don't spend all that much time in their room during daylight hours. Very comfortable temperature-wise with the high wall-mounted a/c unit (extremely quiet) and ceiling fan in this humid town. Clean, conveniently located, friendly yet not overbearing or "in your face", and exactly what their attractive website displays and details. I would stay there again without a doubt.

Yelp
Wonderful quiet, clean place, with a very great of breakfast, super nice staff, and with a primo location on Duvall. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Kathy K.

Yelp
A lovely 2 story place on Duvall street. There are multiple rooms in the house and 3 small independent cottages. We stayed in gecko cottage, very nice with a small private hot tub. The beautiful area between the cottages and house is lush with greenery, has a pool and large hot tub. We were the only ones in the pool on multiple occasions. Breakfast was delivered each morning when requested. Bikes are available to rent, I highly recommend you do so, we rode to the beach and around the neighborhoods. Brandi was friendly and available to offer suggestions

Yelp
Key West is an extremely expensive tourist town (for what you get). You will end up spending a lot for lodging no matter where you go. Pluses: location, no need to have car, bike rentals on site, bare bones continental breakfast included (something to get your day started), nice people running the place. Minuses: cost, doors close VERY loudly, ambient noise (due to location right on busy Duval), pool is not heated and is colder than the ocean.

Yelp
April 2014 my husband and I eloped and stayed in Gecko Garden at the Tropical Inn. It was so special!! It felt like we were all by ourselves as we had a private soaking pool and entrance. They have a resident wedding officiant, Shelby. She was great to work with! She took care of everything for our ceremony! The owners also set up a sunset cruise, float plane ride to the dry tortugas and arranged for bikes to be at our room when we arrived. We will definitely stay there whenever we go to Key West!

Mike K.

Yelp
The place is awesome and the staff couldn't be nicer! They made us feel so at home and helped us with anything we needed from recommendations to accommodations. We would definitely stay again!!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here and it's a great place. Nice clean, quiet rooms and friendly staff. On the middle on Duval St it's close to shops, restaurants and Mallory Square. Yes, the water pressure is a little low, but I haven't been to a beach place that didn't have low water pressure. I had one small problem that was rectified immediately and I can't expect or ask for any more than that. I don't know if I'll get back to Key West, but if I do I will definitely stay at The Tropical Inn.

Yelp
We were so pleased to be able to stay at the Tropical Inn. My boyfriend and I were taking a last minute trip for the long weekend. We were flying standby. We were able to call from the airport, get a room last minute (since they were not completely booked-lucky us), and the staff was sooo wonderful/helpful/etc. Our friends had suggesting the Tropical Inn to us. We thanked them several times over the course of the weekend for the recommendation. The Inn is located at the steps of Duval street- central to everything. Once you close the front door you forget everything and retreat to a serene tropical Oasis. We will definitely be staying again. My boyfriend even told me to write a review (which he never does!). We loved it.....You will too!

Yelp
I found this B&B online and it is fabulous! Even though it is on Duval it is quiet, private, clean and charming. The pool and jacuzzi are surrounded by lush, tropical plants and the room is very comfortable. We will definitely come back for our anniversary. (We are here for our honeymoon.)

Tom N.

Yelp
Very nice, very clean. They helped us repeatedly with recommendations, reservations, and other needs. I would ignore the reviews that suggest the owners are rude, etc. that's FAR from the truth. The pool and hot tub were a great break on the hot days and they are in the back, very well landscaped and peaceful. As others mentioned in their reviews, breakfast selections are not immense, but definitely sufficient (does anyone really go to Key West for a big breakfast???). The room was nice, air conditioning and fans are great. I would recommend this historic Inn to friends and family.

Yelp
We just stayed at the Tropical Inn the second weekend in August. It is a lovely little bed and breakfast located on Duval Street but not at the heavy bar end where all the noise is. It is very convenient and we walked easily from one end of the island to the other. We flew in from California on the red eye arriving in Key West at 8:30 in the morning. We knew there were people in our room (Gecko's Garden) so we wouldn't be able to check in when we got there. The staff was very accomodating letting us leave our bags there while we grabbed breakfast and were super fast in cleaning our room so that we could get a nap in before the rest of our family arrived in Key West. We were in our room by 11:30! The location was great, staff was nice and helpful, our cottage was the largest they have and decent size for the two of us. We even had our own private hot tub. The bed and pillows were comfy and the only issue was when the rain shower wouldn't devert to the basic shower - they fixed immediately. We used the pool as well for late night swims and it was clean and well kept! Breakfast is basic but perfect for me - fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, cereal and juices. They provide extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower gel, hair dryer, and iron. This is an excellent place to stay especially if you want a true "Key West" vibe without the noise and you don't mind not being on the water. I only gave this 4 stars and not 5 due to the price - $374.00 an night.

Yelp
We had the most awesome experience at this beautiful property. Everyone we came in contact with on staff was friendly and helpful. The courtyard area with the pool and hot tub is gorgeous and most of all peaceful. You are in the middle of everything on Duval St, but when you walk back into the courtyard you are in complete privacy and heaven. Our room was immaculate and very well appointed with a great comfy bed. We did not want to leave and we will be back.

Yelp
Loved this cute little hotel. Nice employees. Beautiful old vibe. Great continental breakfast. Just waiting on my reimbursement on an extra charge. Ill keep you posted if this is easily taken care of.

Yelp
We really loved the hot tub and the garden setting. The rooms were nice, but we found the beds to be uncomfortable. Our group had two couples, one couple is plus sized and one couple is petite and average sized... and both couples found the beds to be uncomfortable. Our room was lovely and had a private patio, but it also had dozens of little fruit fly like bugs. The breakfast included hard boiled eggs, english muffins, bagels, fruit, cereal, yummy coffee and a 'sweet of the day.' For the price of the rooms, ($300 per night) most people in our party found the breakfast to be lacking.  There is on-site bicycle rental, but we found the bikes to be uncomfortable with the seats being difficult to move and no hand brakes. Pros include a great location, nice looking rooms, great hot tub, a lovely pool and a beautiful garden like setting, reliable wi-fi. Cons included a limited breakfast, dissapointing bike rentals, and flies in our room. Like many B&Bs in Key West there is no on-site parking, but there is street parking close by and a super convenient parking lot across the street that costs $20 per day (which we took advantage of). We found the staff to be nice, but not the best when compared to other B&Bs in Key West. Free Wi-Fi.

Yelp
Awesome little place. Sweet, quaint, nice staff- family owned. Stayed in gecko garden suite ...same as pics. Prime location and clean. Good homemade, fresh breakfast! We really enjoyed this place. Our suite was a little more expensive but our cottage was separate from the rest of the house. 2 French doors, one to pool area and one to our private patio. We enjoyed our honeymoon. Really enjoyed riding the bikes they have for rent around key west. It was so sweet and quiet good for relaxation. We will return. Thanks! Chelsea & JR

Yelp
Our first trip to Key West was last week and we stayed at the Tropical Inn. The biggest plus I think is the location. It is literally no more than a15 min walk to everything! VERY centrally located which was awesome. We were in the Banyan tree suite located on the second floor in the back of the house. It has a good size private porch/deck attached which was really nice. This time of year there was good sun in the morning on the deck (to work on a tan). The pool area was mostly shady so this option was nice. Being in the back of the house it was quiet. This part of town isn't as loud as the lower # blocks, but it was still nice to be away from the street noise. Breakfast by the pool was a nice combination of fruit, pastry, meat/cheese, hardboiled eggs, and toast/bagel options. And they have seriously delicious coffee. You could smell it through the house around 8:00...a nice way to wake up! Jane, Allen, and Brandi were super helpful with making reservations and giving suggestions for activities and dining. All recommendations they had were spot on and appreciated. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the water pressure wasn't great. Having long hair this was a challenge. Halfway through our stay I popped over to the Bobby Shop for a wash and blowout which helped (see my review for them as well). All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it with the water pressure caveat. :)

Yelp
The Tropical Inn is a first class bed and breakfast. Located in the heart of duval street. Very quiet and cozy! Awesome pool and hospitality!

Kelly B.

Yelp
* last update .... Jane actually took the money from FEMA after admitting we didnt stay at the hotel. I just got off the phone with FEMA who said she cashed the check for a weeks worth of pay for a room we didnt stay in. Classy. Im printing the response from Jane now and sending to FEMA. She said we didnt stay there and took the money from FEMA. Way to take advantage of everyone involved. Jane is a terrible human.

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Tropical Inn this past March. Although the bed could have been a tad more comfortable and the price for each night was a tad high, we enjoyed our stay at the Tropical Inn, immensely! The Inn had bikes for rent to see the town, and the place was cozy and warm in spirit. Brandi was always helpful with answering what questions come up and she provided a map upon our arrival of the "Old Town" section of Key West. The breakfast each morning was welcome and the patio outside with the pool, tropical palms and Jacuzzi was breathtaking as well as relaxing. We were so happy to find this gem in the Keys! The Tropical Inn ranks VERY high on our list and we are making plans to return in the near future, a welcome respite from the rest of the world! Thank you Brandi, Tammy and your good family, for your wonderful hospitality!

Natalie T.

Yelp
We LOVED the Tropical Inn! Cutest little place. Amazing pool and hot tub in the back. It's covered by tropical trees- you'd hardly know you were in a busy little city. We will definitely be back. Great location if you want to stay on Duval. You can hear some of the action of Duval street, but that didn't bother us. We were so exhausted from exploring Key West all day we tuned it out.

Yelp
I normally reserve 5 stars for high end establishments but this place deserves recognition. The first thing I have to point out is that once you step inside you forget you're staying on Duval Street as you don't hear any traffic or pedestrian noise. The main house is very charming and walking out to the patio/pool area instantly transports you to beautiful private garden. The room was immaculate and the bed really comfortable. (I slept better there than I normally do at home.) The included breakfast was well above average and especially nice on Sunday. The Inn keepers (Allan, Jane, and Brandi) were the perfect example of what all hospitality staff should be: Genuinely friendly and very helpful with the even the smallest of questions. I will definitely be staying there again the next time I go to Key West.

Yelp
As I entered this little piece of paradise, it is a found treasure in the middle of Duval Street. Not on the beach, but as most people that travel to Key West knows there is not any beaches here. It is surrounded by the beautiful ocean breeze and water. Tropical Inn is one of those places you wish to find. When you walk in off the street, you enter a HOME, with an outside garden and a total of 11 rooms through out the property. A pool that is surrounded by gardens and lush vegetation. Hot tub off to the right off of the back porch. We are in the back of the property cabana style room with a private hot tub, and from Duval Street you can hear live music not to loud from the outside and enjoy the night. We always bring a noise maker when we travel, I think it is a must. When we went inside, not a problem we could not hear the music. Wake up to a morning breakfast that is perfection to start the day. This is a place that I plan on visiting every year. http://www.tropicalinn.com/romantic-luxury-florida-getaways.htm

Yelp
This was a nice little tropical inn on Duval, maybe the kind Mario Sanchez drew a couple of times. The room was nice and charming, had nice french doors that opened right up to the backyard and pool area. My only problem was upon returning one night, my set of keys didn't work to get into the front entrance of the locked building. Found out the next day that the set i was given and took with me for the evening had two room keys on the ring. Whatever, we got into our room without having to have anyone come down, but it was still a bit of an inconvenience. They charge $15 for parking a block away. There were also a few fruit flys all over the breakfast buffet station. Otherwise it was a nice quiet little place.

Katherine D.

Yelp
Very cute place! Boyfriend and I loved staying here! Great location, quite backyard, great pool / hot tub area. Staff is very friendly & location is very clean. Breakfast consists of coffee, juice, bagel/toast, eggs, meat & cheese, & fruit. All free! You get what you pay for - just wish the water pressure was better seeing that it's hard to shower here with longer hair. Overall, very cute & cozy place & I would definitely recommend!

Yelp
We booked the Banyan Tree Suite for our Honeymoon this past April. There is a public parking place across the street (Duval) which has a special arrangement with the Tropical Inn. We parked on Monday and didn't touch the car again until we left on Thursday. It was wonderful to be able to walk anywhere in Old Town Key West easily. Tropical inn is centrally (and I do mean centrally) located on Duval. You can step outside and then decide whether you want to go left or right. Right takes you to the Southernmost Point, the Butterfly Conservatory, Fort Taylor and Hemingway house. Left takes you to Mallory Square, Sloppy Joes and all the other bar crawl places you might want to visit after sunset. You can't go wrong here. No matter where you decide to get your drink on, you can walk home easily. But it's not just about stepping out. It's also about staying in. The room was well appointed, big, comfy bed, nice little private deck outside with (my personal fave) a patio swing, and even a separate sitting room with a day bed, for additional people if needed. After a long hot day of trekking all over Key West Doing the tourist thing we crawled to our room and sank into that great bed, oh... heaven! The grounds and pool are wonderful, lush, peaceful. Breakfast in the morning, poolside in the afternoon, bar crawl at night... sounds wonderful doesn't it? The staff are so friendly and helpful with recommendations, and maps. I very highly recommend The Tropical Inn.

Mari L.

Yelp
Loved the Tropical Inn! It was our first time to Key West. The location was great - right in the middle of Duval Street but on the quieter end. It was incredibly hot so the pool was perfect. We had the room that opens out onto the pool, the Poinciana Patio, and we loved it. It was like a private tropical oasis. Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was so nice and helpful - and very laid back. The breakfast was continental style but enough to get you going - every day there was a new type of cake/pastry. Can't wait to go back!

Meredith C.

Yelp
Great place to stay! Everyone was very nice, room was clean, they help you book stuff you want to do and it's in a great location. Your basically in the middle of everything. If we come back to Key West, we will be definitely staying here!

Yelp
We chose Key West as our wedding destination and it could not have gone more perfectly. The Tropical Inn B&B is not only beautiful but really charming and the perfect location on Duval Street,,,close to everything. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Jane & Allen were the perfect hosts. They were so gracious and helped with all our needs. It was our first trip to Key West and we are definitely planning on a return trip!

Yelp
Nice house and decent service. Breakfast was slightly underwhelming but the great location made up for it. My issue was that they have their pool & common area lit up like a landing strip with no way to turn down the lights. My room had a patio entrance from the pool area but basically only a white sheet as a curtain. I could read a book in my bed at midnight with all the lights off and the curtains drawn shut! I don't know about you but I don't know how anyone sleeps like that. This is suppose to be a bed and breakfast where you get a good night sleep but I had a lousy night here. Looked through their whole welcome binder for a number to call someone to get the lights turned down...No luck. Way overpriced for what I received. At checkout the lady dryly asked "If I had a good night OUT," nothing about my opinions on the amenities or my night's sleep. She took my keys and that was it. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Exceptional service and serene, expertly appointed surroundings in the bustling heart of Old Key West. Tropical Inn was the perfect spot for us. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
My first time in Key West, and my first stay at a B&B. We made a great choice staying at the Tropical Inn! Beautiful, clean rooms, wonderful hosts, and terrific breakfast! Walk out the front door and get into the think of Duval St, and walk in either direction to all sorts of activities. Walk through the back door and relax in their gardens, and the pool. We had our wedding at The Tropical Inn and have found a great place to stay the next time we visit Key West! Recommended!

Yelp
My friend and I stayed at this inn last weekend. Perfect location on Duval Street. The room is nicely decorated but small. On the second day, the cleaning person did not replace our dirty wine glasses. We could not find a cork screw anywhere on the premises, either, which I thought was kind of odd since there were wine glasses in the room. Also, breakfast is continental which is disappointing, considering the price of the room. No complimentary snacks or drinks in the lobby, either.

Yelp
AWESOME, WOW, RELAXING, COZY, ROMANTIC, WELCOMING After research, the Tropical Inn was our first choice based on location, description, pictures, and reviews. We were not disappointed. The Inn is owned by Alan and his wife, Jane. and Alan's daughter, Brandi is the innkeeper/mgr. Our room for the first 5 nights was in the main house on the first floor, The Mango Room. A small, cozy queen bedroom, nicely decorated, with a compact bathroom, and a mini fridge. The continental breakfast with a special daily dish is on the covered porch in the back overlooking the beautiful pool and tropical foliage. Each morning, Brandi or Jane would have our decaf coffee ready for us. We enjoyed talks with Alan and Brandi about the history of the inn . Jane and Brandi will also make any reservations you need during your stay. We decided to stay longer, so the 6th night, we moved to another queen room, the Coconut Cabana Room in the garden cottage . The last two nights we had the luxury of staying in the Gecko's Garden. a king suite cottage with large master bath, mini bar area and it's own private enclosed patio with sunken hot tub . Each move was done for us, so when we came back from our day out, we went right to our new room. We had the opportunity to meet many of the wonderful guests staying at the inn while we were enjoying breakfast or relaxing in the lush pool/patio area. We wanted to experience the true Key West charm and the Tropical Inn far exceeded our expectations. If another trip to Key West is in our future, we will DEFINITELY return to the Tropical Inn.
