Our room was as described, nothing special. It was clean and ready on our arrival. Towels were worn, but the shower had good water pressure and temperature. We felt safe inside. Internet wifi was fast and for the most part reliable. Staff was friendly. There is a little area with food, drinks, and convenience items at the main door, it was useful.|We intended to use the kitchenette, but we only stayed a couple nights so it was more hassle than we expected, since we didn't want to buy every little thing again before we left. |Easy to catch an Uber for rides.|

I enjoyed my time at this hotel. It is very easy to locate off of interstate 3 and very close to the ocean.. There is a colmado on the corner that stays open pretty late and they sell basically everything. There is also a empanada spot on the corner of the hotel and their food is so good .. There is also a salon, pharmacy, other colmados, burger restaurants. The pharmacy was open pretty late and had someone who’s speaks English. My son caught a stomach virus and I had to run there late at night for some antibiotics. ||The hotel is in a safe area and this coming from someone who knows Santo Domingo very well. The hotel it’s self is locked down and very difficult for someone who’s not staying there to get inside. I like that about the place. The staff onsite was pretty helpful and they have two workers that speak English as was well. One of them is very funny. The maid seems very nice and she was very good to my son (the light skin one) .. The lobby of the hotel also has a area where you can buy things like beer, toiletries, tissue paper, soap etc ||Now the Cons,..,., There are no elevators and no bell boys so you are stuck carrying luggage up many steps. When I checked in , it was a Haitian lady cleaning up the room and before she left, she decided to take food out her bag and warm it up in my microwave located in my room . She didn’t ask me if she can do it or not. She left my room smelling like fish. I called the front desk and told them what occurred because I was very angry and felt disrespected. Some people have strong fish allergies to the point that they can’t even be around the smell of it. I was with my 2 year old son st the time and that is the reason why I didn’t make a scene but rather call the front desk.. The counters in the kitchen was greasy and the tv remote was dirty but everything thing else in the room was clean including the bedding. The water was cut off during late morning hours with prior notice and I needed to take a shower to head out to the airport. They were fixing the pump and I had to wait 35 mins for them to cut it on long enough for me to take a shower and then they cut it back off once I was finished. ||Overall I will stay at this place again because it was very convenient for price and location... The rooms gets a 8 out of 10 points for me.. I only gave it 3 stars because of the microwave incident, no elevators but many steps, and the greasy counters ..

Good host. Booked via his website. Was little late collecting me from airport. Would have liked he be there with sign like other apartments where. Nice man and family are friendly. One down side. No private access to apartments so have to walk by the owners home and front door when coming and going. But saying that they are very friendly and not intrusive at all. Neighbour hood was quite and room was nice. Wifi worked great. Very secure. The rental a jeep was good no problems. I would stay again in the future.

My husband and I stayed here one night even though we were a little frightened by some of the reviews. The room was clean and despite what another reviewer said I never saw one bug. There was hot water with abundant pressure, the towels were bright white and clean, they provided toilet paper and hand soap, the little fridge and microwave worked fine, as did the gas stove. We really appreciated the free private parking behind a locked gate. Donald quoted me 36 dollars on the phone, and that is exactly what he charged us. Best of All, when I carelessly left my phone on the bed and then called them about it, they went to the room and got it for me and kept it for me til I could come pick it up.

OH MAN!! This is the worst hotel in DR. There is no other way to describe it. Beds are old and squeaky, there was bed bugs, barely get water, no elevators, there is no sea views. The manager Luis is very unprofessional and unreliable. The wife was very nice. I hope. There were buzzing bees at night. It is hard to sleep and electricity was turned off….PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL…

I stayed at the Aparthotel for one month, initially I cam for one week. Upon arrival, the first day or two was not comforting but afterwards and as the days went it felt comfortable. The service personnel were always friendly and Mr Sanchez is a great 👍 person always trying to make everyone feels at home, which is the hardest JOB in the world. Overall I like the Apt/hotel, it’s clean, friendly and sure will return soon🤣🙏

If you are the kind of traveler that needs a basic place to stay because you spend most of your time away from your hotel, this is the place for you. Clean. Safe. Comfortable. If this is your first visit to Santo Domingo, you will find that outside the Zona Colonial, it's not a pedestrian-friendly city. Not that it is particularly dangerous, but the city is spread out and not designed for walking. That being said reliable taxis are cheap and plentiful. And this is where Mr. & Mrs, Sanchez come into the picture. You can travel far and wide and never find a nicer, more helpful proprietor of a hotel. He will call a taxi for you day or night. He knows what's open and what's not. He knows the best places to shop for groceries. We were there during hurricane Irma. We remained safe and dry because of all the hard work they did to prepare and maintain the facility. They have a diesel powered generator so we always had electricity. (The grid fails a dozen times a day in all weather.) They made sure the drains were not clogged so the balconies never flooded. We opted for A/C and enjoyed cool, comfortable nights every night. Situated a few blocks from the ocean, we had good breezes nearly every day. Fresh linens and towels every other day by request. If you're the kind of traveler who wants a clean, safe room with a private bathroom and a place to make your own coffee in the morning, this is just the place.

I had an excellent stay at Donalds apartment complex. He and his wife work very very hard to make sure the place is immaculate and in order. They were very friendly the entire time I was there (2 weeks). There are nice open air balconies on each floor with a domino table and chairs to use and the a/c worked great. My apartment was clean when I arrived and all appliances worked. Any issues I had, they were quick to address. I was glad that I could use the washer and clothes line on the top floor. The WiFi network was excellent and the power never went out. The location is on a quiet street, but still close to the main routes, but only an 8 minute walk to the ocean, and you can see the ocean from the balconies. It was a very secure location. Honestly, it felt like home, and I miss it already. Thanks. Scott Martinetti
