Tropical Palms Resort & 4WD Hire

What a delightful find. A great base stop for exploring Picnic Bay & Magnetic Island, in general. We stayed nearly a week & was most enjoyable. Jennifer & Rob were great Hosts, with attention to detail about a few things, not only to make things comfortable but safe. The Unit was clean, tidy, spacious & accessible. Waking to hear the nearby Currawongs, was enjoyable. If there was a fault with the room, I'd have to make mention about a spot for placing your bags or luggage upon. We improvised & that worked. But, overall, the stay was lovely. First time staying on the Island, apart from a day trip, 26years ago.

Loved the place! Owners are great Rooms clean tidy comfortable. Nice pool area with BBQ area next to it. So close to beach. Food areas real close e.g. hotel, food mall with brewery, casual yummo dining, pizza and pasta place and a breakfast/ lunch place with view of sea through the trees. Resort hires out cars and will then pick you up from ferry and return you. Bus close by too. Quiet area. We enjoyed it that much we have already booked our next stay!!

Quiet and relaxing and lovely cool garden and pool area. Very friendly owners/staff thankyou for your hospitality. |Tropical Palms is a short walk to Picnic Bay Hotel and jetty and the brewery and coffee shop.|There are a few walking tracks close by and swimming in the enclosure.

We had the most wonderful stay at Tropical Palms Resort! Rob was amazing and provided us with travel tips and anything else we needed. The room was perfect. Very clean and equipped well. Definitely would recommend staying here if you are visiting Magnetic Island. ||We also loved the collection of DVDs available!

What a wonderful place to stay. The apartment was quiet, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything you could need for a self catering stay. The pool and BBQ area are equally well maintained and the hosts clearly take pride in presenting their guests with great affordable accomodation. Rob and Jen couldn’t be more friendly and offered tips and suggestions for what I wanted to see while on the island. I took advantage of booking a 4x4 through them to get about and the Rav 4 I got was neat and well serviced. Rob picked me up at the ferry on my arrival and returned me when reluctantly my stay was over. If you are looking for the latest 5 star luxury accomodation, this isn’t your place. But if you are looking for fantastic value for money with hosts that do all they can to make your stay a pleasant one, you can’t beat Tropical Palms Resort. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A big thanks to Rob and Jen for a fantastic stay. As well as being very friendly, they have excellent recommendations on the local area. ||Room was spotless and had everything I needed. Felt super relaxed here. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Lovely accommodation at the peaceful southern end of Magnetic Island, less than five minutes walk from the beach and bus stop. |We enjoyed an upstairs room, fully self contained with double cooktop, full sized fridge, microwave oven and plenty of crockery & cooking utensils. We made good use of the BBQ and outdoor eating area. The pool is small but very clean, partly covered by shade cloth and there are pool lounges & towels available. The property is surrounded by tropical gardens, all scrupulously clean and well maintained. There were lots of native birds to watch and listen to from the balcony sitting area outside the room. There are guest laundry facilities and a clothesline available which was handy after swimming. The hosts Rob and Jen were welcoming and helpful in all respects. They have 4WD hire cars available but we were happy to rely on the excellent island bus services that go regularly up the east coast from Picnic Bay through Nelly Bay (ferry terminal, supermarket etc), Arcadia, and lovely beaches all the way up to Horseshoe Bay at the northern end.

Wonderful location to celebrate some birthdays with friends traveling from all over Australia. Location is close to bus service hotel beaches golf course and starting point for walks. Great facilities and rooms with amazing hosts - highly recommended.
