Came to Caye Caulker on an excursion in 2018 for a day trip. Came back to stay for a week a few years later and loved the vibe from looking at Tropical Paradise Hotel. Got there a few hours early, the team was super awesome and allowed us to keep our luggage at the hotel until check-in. They even hooked us up with a couple free drinks at the bar while we waited to check-in. Loved the fact you can walk from your room to the pool, to the ocean in less than 2 minutes. The rooms were perfect for what was needed. Super clean, comfortable beds, quiet at night (at least the week we were staying), TV (even though there was no cable or anything you could watch, not sure if that was just a coincidence or like that in every room) that didn't matter since it was a vacation, not too much time was spent in the room. The air conditioner was great! Turned it on before bed and slept comfortably throughout the night. Was close enough to everything else on the strip, but secluded enough to have peace and quiet and privacy. Definitely will stay here again if a trip back to Caye Caulker happens again in the future!

We stayed here with our group for three days and overall enjoyed the location, swimming pool as well as the spacious rooms. However, there were a few disappointments. First, there was no daily room cleaning. They only provided a couple of toilet rolls and emptied the trash. Additionally, there was inconsistent hot water. The room had dark black curtains, bedsheets, and towels, which made the entire space feel gloomy. Some people also experienced itchiness while sleeping on the beds. Lastly, the front desk staff were not very friendly, and the management team could definitely improve.

Would have loved to given this hotel more stars as all the staff members we saw were super friendly, but our room was very disappointing. Mainly, mold in the room that caused sinus/throat issues for my husband and I. No bathroom fan. In our 4 night stay, we only had warm water in our room twice. Mattresses in desperate need of an upgrade. TV missing in room. While we booked the economy room, at a minimum, I expected to not get sick from mold exposure. Hoping that management takes the initiative with some very necessary improvements, as this spot definitely has potential.

I saw a lot of poor reviews on this place and truly dont understand how. Our room was spotless, smelled clean, shower was functional, hot and clean. Room had no bed bugs (or any insects for that matter) which is just something that occasionally happens in the tropics and usually caused by the travellers amd not the hotel itself. We got room 14 which is right by the poolside, and my god it is a fantastic view. The pool is super clean and looks great day and night. We also rented a fishing pole and ended up snagging a 20 lb snapper at about 11 PM. Big shout out to Ellis and the security guard who both helped us cook it up so late at night. Truly the best team at this hotel, couldn't have possibly asked for more. 10/10 would recommend.

I am very pleased with the location and price. The room size was good for my family and I. Would have loved if there was a microwave in the room, but all went well during our stay. The staff is very friendly and fun to talk to.

This place is awesome! The view from the pool, the cleanliness, the chilled beach hut vibes, it’s really close to the centre but quiet at night. And Henry and Oscar are legends - they make the stay 10/10. They went out of their way to organise awesome snorkel tours, get our lost passports back to us in Belize city and were just really fun to hang with. Would 100% recommend staying here.

I'd hoped for far more from a hotel called Tropical Paradise. The doors and windows of my room didn't close properly. No hot water, and the cold shower was only a dribble that mainly ran down the wall onto the floor. Bathroom tiles were cracked and mouldy. Bed sheets were torn and the towels threadbare. I ordered scrambled eggs with ham for breakfast; the ham was more like thin slices of Spam that had been fried to resemble shoe leather that was almost impossible to cut with the blunt knife provided. The only positive was that my room was on an upper level, and the giant cockroaches at ground level didn't manage to climb up there.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel as part of a G adventures trip. I would not stay at this location again. The beds were terrible, bathrooms unclear and the whole facility rundown. It’s a short walk into the main area of town but much further than other hotels of equivalent level and quality. There is a nice pier and basic pool, but they’re the only highlights. I would not recommend this hotel.
