Tropicale'

I tried out this place because I heard it was a cool new place in Atlanta. Once I arrived I was pretty disappointed. Service was lacking significantly. It took about 20 minutes just to get some water. When you have an outside establishment this should be a top priority for your customers. The food was just okay the crab dip was pretty good but the lobster ceviche was really disappointing. It lacked flavor and over half of it was frozen so we couldn't even eat it. This also led me to believe that the food wasn't fresh. The drinks were okay but overpriced for the size. Last thing parking is also annoying. The vibe was cool but it takes more than that to have a quality dininy experience. There are other options in the big city off Atlanta. Pass on this one and try somewhere else. Me giving 3 stars is generous.

The experience was horrible. My friends and I had been looking forward to visiting Tropicale for a very long time. I had made this reservation over a month ago for a group of 6 people which is extremely difficult to get for a group that size in Atlanta. We showed up at our scheduled reservation time and the entire restaurant was shut down. No one was around, no lights on, no signs on the door, just nothing! Absolutely nothing. All six of us were dressed up for the occasion, paid for an uber over to the restaurant and literally there was nothing opened there. No answer on the phone or on instagram. On top of all of that I received an email and text confirmation 24 hours prior to our reservation time stating that if we do not show up my credit card will be charged $50 per person that no shows which is why we were certain to arrive on time! Its a shame this restaurant looked like a super cool concept, but the lack of respect for their clients time and effort is extremely disappointing

Tropicale’ is definitely an experience. We arrived and was greeted from the friendly staff. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was soooooo good and fresh. I will be returning! Oh and the drinks are STRONG and good. We went on Sunday and it was not busy as well.

the best thing about this place was the drinks...but the service was probably the worst i’ve ever experienced in Atlanta and it was my friends birthday. I felt really bad. it took soooo long for the food to come out, hours. we ended up leaving without eating. in the background of the pics are the complimentary chips and corn dip they give.

Great summer-time atmosphere. It feels like you're emersed in a Caribbean island, but in reality you're in the middle of the city. The owner was very accommodating; when we arrived we had no table reservation, but the owner was kind enough to give us a table anyway. Service was quick and great. Overall, this place was a joyful escape from reality.

I got the chicken skewers which were absolutely delicious. The drink was cute, pink flamingo, but I wouldn't order it for taste. And it was pretty expensive for the actual amount of drink you get. Service was spotty. You order individually via app, but no one explained this so we sat for awhile before figuring out what to do. Since you order everything individually it all comes out at different times. We had one girl completely finish her meal before anyone else even got drinks. Another girl didn't get drinks or her meal until everyone else was done. Cute concept but they need to work on organizing better.

So its tough to review the customer service when you're ordering through your phone. But I would have liked more direction on what to do/how to order. When our group of 4 (we made a reservation through Instagram) got there we were seated and that was it. There's a picture of a QR code on the table, with a table #. So we scanned it and it took us to the website where you're suppoed to order your food and drinks from. But no one told us what to do, we had to figure it out. Which is fine, but we just needed a nudge on what to do. The drinks were great, the one in the coconut was the best, and I tried the ones in the watermelon and pinapple. We were there just for drinks, but we did have the mykonos salad and it was delicious 😋 the complimentary appetizer was also very good.

We had an incredible time at Tropicale. The atmosphere was incredible and the owner was a great guy! He came to check on us regularly. Based on some of the previous reviews, it seems they have updated their safety precautions as there were no paper menus and all orders and payments were done online. We have deemed this place our official date night spot after having such a great experience.
