Tropicana Hostel

Had an amazing stay at Tropicana. The staff is really friendly and willing to help you any time. The terrace at the rooftop has a great view and good vibes. The rooms are clean and cozy. Definitely recommend this place!

We did not sleep there but used their Service for some Tours & Shuttles around Guatemala. Always Great Service online and in the hostel, the Acatenango Tour was Pretty Hard but absolutely worth it for the views and the experience! The lunch & drink offer after in the beautiful rooftop bar served by Raquel was a perfect ending after these challenging hours.

We went on the volcano hike and it was amazing. The guides Manolo and Johnny were so kind and patient, and they cooked really good food for us too! They were very generous with their service and made the trip great for the whole group. 10/10, would recommend.

I came to Tropicana primarily for the Acatenango hike and I was not disappointed! I spent 2 nights before departing for the overnight hike and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Rooms were clean, equipped with AC, and had curtains around beds. Food was solid and service was very good, especially from Raquel. The Volcano trip was very well organized and I had an amazing time. The Tropicana team provided us with a great breakfast before heading out as well as a good packed lunch. The guides were great and the trip was unforgettable. I highly recommend!! Lastly, their roof deck has a great view and they provide free coffee. A hard deal to beat

The outdoor rooftop has a great bar + restaurant, I ordered the special red smoothie and vegetable wrap with mushrooms, both were excellent, sitting and watching the beautiful view of the mountains with good internet. Also great place to meet and connect with other backpackers. I couldn't ask for a better way to spend the sunny days of the canicula.

In a good location. Beds comfy with AC curtains plugs locker. Great! Their volcano hike was well organised: good food, nice guides. Would recommend!

I had a great experience because the tour guides were very helpful. This was my first major hike and I didn’t feel rushed at all. The meals were delicious and I got a great view of the volcano erupting. 10/10 loved every second of it

Had a great time experience hiking up Acatenango. We had a lovely group and excellent guides ! The food was amazing, everything ran smoothly and we were luckily enough to have amazing views (including small eruptions !). Would highly recommended:)
