I booked this hotel through a 3rd party and was having so much difficulty with changing my stay dates. I really appreciate Patricia in sales helping me and was able to accommodate the days I needed. The rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. We loved the kitchen because we stayed 4 days and 3 nights, not only did cooking saved more money but we don't always like eating out. My kids loved the pool and I really liked how it's always stocked with pool towels. The location was amazing! Literally a 5-7 mins walk to the entrance of Disneyland! We did a 2 day Disney park visit so staying close really allowed us to go back and forth. The area is also walking distance to restaurants and fast food near by. I'll definitely stay here again.

Google
Location is the best!! It’s right across the street from Disneyland and California Adventure entrance. Room was small, but beds were perfect, we didn’t need a big room, all we did was sleep, didn’t really hangout In the room. Hot tub was so nice, they didn’t have towel stocked, but after asking at the front desk they had them restocked at the pool in like 5 minutes! All staff that I spoke to were helpful and friendly, big plus for me.

We stayed in an ADA king for 7 nights in may. The room was clean and spacious. Had a 4 cup drip coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Lots of plugs and a newer flatscreen tv. The beds were ok a little firm for my liking but were in good shape. Housekeeping on every 3rd day I believe, garbage and towels daily. ||Our shower was draining slow and the handyman was there withing 30 minutes at 8pm to unclog it for us ||Little noise as people walked by but its motel style so thats expected. ||Laundry was $3 wash and $3 dry and worked well ||Pool was super clean and heated , hot tub was spacious and nice... both were salt water||Cove market had all the basics ||Walk was about 6 minutes to security including waiting for the cross walk ||We were in an ADA room due to needing room for a scooter and the walk in shower. I was able.to park the scooter in the room no problem. The shower had a large overhead shower head as well as a hand held and a flip down bench. Lots of grab bars and it was huge and drained so the floor in the bathroom didnt get wet. ||There is a nice uber pick up area thats very easy to find and there is a bench to sit on while you wait ||Only bugs we saw were one that flew in the door with us. No bed bugs and no roaches as some reviews stated so I guess they have gotten it under control! ||Our stay was lovely and we highly recommend !

My family and I, three kids ages 5,10,11 stayed at this hotel and highly recommended it. The room was very clean beds were comfortable and best of all super close by to the park entrance. Also, I liked that there’s a little snacks/souvenirs store right in the corner where we were able to buy cereal pizza and coffee. The room did include a refrigerator, microwave which was helpful!

Google
This hotel doesn’t beat the location it’s right across the street from the park. The staff is nice; no issues with them. The rooms are on the smaller side, but are very clean. I’d recommend this place for an easy access to the park; perhaps the suites are bigger. The only downside is they do not have breakfast, but have a small store on the property and McDonald’s an ihop are close by.

Google
Best bang for your Dollar, right across from the Disneyland sign from ur room to inside Disneyland maybe 12 minutes. Nice and close to go back for breaks, the store has a good variety of food and drinks. Not much Disney merchandise

Another very successful trip to Tropicana. I’ve stayed at many hotels near Disneyland and this is the only hotel I have gone back to multiple times. It’s my number one recommendation. Even compared to the Disney resorts themselves, this is the best one. The location is amazing. The rooms are clean and well maintained. They have $1.25 water bottles for purchase in the mart downstairs. The staff is always wonderful. Valet parking. McDonald’s on one side and IHOP on the other. Plus it’s directly across the street from the parks. I do know the Camelot next door is also owned (and I believe managed) by the same team so I imagine it’s equally as good. I would recommend this hotel over any in the area.

Google
They price this place like its a Hilton. If it wasn't for location there is no way this place would get away with it. The rooms are incredibly outdated. You can tell they just find the cheapest materials and throw it in. It doesn't match. There was mold in the shower and the room smelled musty. The cars park right outside the first floor rooms. There is no stop blocks, so if the guest pulls all the way to the side walk there is no room for a stroller or electric cart to get around the front of the vehicles. Service has gone to a bare minimum. They are suppose to empty garbages and give new towels everyday. Two of our four days they didn't even do that. We had to go ask for towels and toilet paper. Needless to say our garbage was overflowing by the time we left. They did have a sense of humor though and left a envelope to tip our house keepers.

Yelp
My Family have stayed at this hotel twice for our Disneyland trips and we will continue to book this hotel for any future Disney trips. The staff is great and accommodating. The rooms were clean and adequate for our needs. The best attribute is its location- the hotel is a quick 5 minute walk to Disneyland. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a place near Disneyland. It's a quicker walk than some Disney Resort Hotels for a cheaper price.

Yelp
I hesitating in sharing my experience while trying to give the hotel a chance to make my experience better, but they do not seem to care that we are unhappy. We stayed in room 122, checked out a week ago. The day after we arrived everyone's skin began to itch, we chalked it up to the LA water. It wasn't until the day we returned home that we saw the big bites all over our backs and legs. Our doctors cannot determine the type of bug without having the physical bug, but they assume a type of flea or bed bugs. I called the hotel the day we returned home to alert them of the issue and they said someone would call me back "in a few days"....still waiting on that call. I emailed on Friday sharing my experience and received a very short and rude response on TUESDAY (after i had to follow up) stating the staff looked in the room and didn't find bed bugs. My entire back is covered in wounds from the bites, it hurts to even have my shower water hit my back. Apparently I am allergic to whatever bit me. The room itself wasn't the cleanest when we arrived but I let that go. We were only sleeping there anyways. Now my fear is that I have unknowingly brought whatever pest to my home and will have to deal with it here. Tropicana really disappointed me in the way they handled my situation, by dismissing me and not handling it at all. Not so much as an apology. I paid $2400 for this room, and a week later my children and I still have the visible marks, wounds, and discomfort. I would never recommend this hotel based solely on the way they have handled our experience. Very upsetting.

Yelp
Convenience is prime here! It's right across the entrance of the Disneyland theme park. We book because it's so convenient. Solid rooms with swimming pool and jacuzzi section too. Well supplied of towels.

Yelp
Okay so this is exactly as advertised and really has a strong motel vibe .. Rooms are outdated and the beds are not the most comfortable but worked. WiFi was good and the location was perfect for our trip .. I personally wouldn't spend more than $250 a night here but who spends their Disney vacation in the room ! Such a perfect location only 10 min walk to the Disney and California Adventure park entrance. The pool looked nice but just be aware it's a motel as at first I was a little shocked .. 3 stars ! Rooms need serious remodeling to a little more modern this place is stuck in the 80's

Yelp
My husband and I took our two kiddos for our sons 4th birthday. We had our 10.5 month old with us as well. Booked a basic two queen bedroom. I emailed the hotel before staying to see if they had birthday packages or deliveries to the room before our son arrived, and they stated no. So I came with my own decor and did the best I could. Hotel gave us room 275. My only complaint is the door not having a door latch, the few hairs found on the floor and in the sink, stains on the blanket they delivered with the crib for my baby and making us valet. Which I assume is due to them selling parking spaces to Disney Resort guests who don't want to park in the parking structures. The beds were standard hotel beds. The shower didn't have great pressure, and in order to flush the toilet 100%, we had to hold the handle down for a good minute. There was not much room to move around, but we weren't there too long. Just enough to eat some dinner from a restaurant close by and sleep. In all, for the price, I would not stay again.

Yelp
First of all, you can't beat the location. It's less walking distance to the park than the hotels in the park (for the most part). Also major bonus, there are places to eat near the hotel. If you stay in a hotel in the park, it is impossible to eat at one of the restaurants there unless you made a reservation 3 months in advance. There isn't much parking but there is valet so that's cool but they take up 1/3 of the available parking. There is one elevator on the south wing of the building. If your room is on the other wing of the building then you have to walk around the horseshoe to get to your room. The cars are parked right outside your door so you hear the honking of the cars when people lock their doors. The garbage man came at 6:45 a.m. and woke me up with its banging of the cans and beeping of the reverse sound. Our shower faucet leaks and there is a constant dripping sound all night. The room seems clean aside from the carpet. The carpet is very dirty. Bring flip flops to wear in the room. The blinds don't close all the way so there is a strip of light coming through. This is an old hotel so some of this stuff is to be expected. Not sure when it was renovated but it still looks nice. I would stay here again despite the bad things I've listed.

Yelp
I decided to establish a scale for rating hotels and motels. I apply the same scale for "luxury" hotels as well as "budget" motels as I stay in all types depending on where I am traveling and the purpose. After cleanliness there is no particular order. 1. Cleanliness although the room was clean, cleanup service was not provided. They did come in daily to clean the trash and replace the towels. 2. Comfort of bed. I really like the firmness of the bed. There could've been a heavier blanket. 3. Comfort of pillows. Are there both firm and soft available. I felt the pillows were adequate, neither too hard or too soft. There was not a selection of hard and soft pillows. 4. How new is the room decor and fixtures. Nothing particularly modern or old-fashioned. 5. Quality of room. This includes size, temperature, smell, lighting. Lighting, temperature and cleanliness were good. 6. Quality of bathroom. This includes size, lighting, ventilation. There was enough room to move around, but it was not a particularly large room for four people. 7. Bathroom amenities. These include magnifying mirror, presentation, quantity and quality of toiletries. Softness of tissue and towels. The amenities were average. The towels were clean, but not particularly soft. There was no magnifying mirror. Hairdryer and ironing. Board were available but no laundry bag. 8. Friendliness of staff. I had minimum contact with the staff. What I had was pleasant. 9. Noise. Road noise, adjacent room noise, air conditioner noise. Quiet, I didn't even realize there was anyone in the room next to us. 10. Price. Was it worth the price I paid all things considered? This includes proximity to conferences and activities. The hotel is conveniently located in walking distance to Disneyland. Four nights came to $1100 including three nights of parking in a two queen size bedroom, considering its location. It was worth the price.

Yelp
Our go-to place to stay when visiting Disneyland! It's right across from the entrance of the parks so it is super convenient! The rooms aren't anything special, but they are usually clean and sometimes, that's all you can ask for! They have a pool, but no restaurant. They do have a small market that makes coffee and you can get some snacks for your room. The hotel is next to some restaurants so there are still plenty of options for places to eat. Parking is pretty limited, but we usually just do valet so we don't need to worry about finding a spot. Elevators are slooooooooooow too and it's only 3 stories! Great place to watch the fireworks from your room though! The only other thing that was kind of off - was when we came back to the room one day - there was another used (not a new roll) toilet paper roll that had been placed in the holder by housekeeping.....whose used roll was this and where did it come from??? It was definitely not ours.

Yelp
I recently stayed here for a few days with my family on a trip to Disneyland. Wasn't our first time staying but it was definitely our first time encountering the roaches. Each day we found a new roach. Ceilings , bathrooms and beds! Due to the holiday weekend all nearby hotels were sold out. The staff were friendly, and when notified about the roach infestation they did not seem too surprised. Definitely need improvement in the cleanliness of the rooms. We had to request the sheets be changed and room cleaned and trash be taken out. Especially with the roaches we didn't know what else we would find we didn't want to risk it.

Yelp
I was very hesitant on booking at this hotel because of the reviews. It wasn't as bad as everyone was saying. We were going to Disneyland and wanted to stay somewhere that is very close. We didn't want to walk too much. Tropicana Inn is literally across the street! Upon arrival, valet asks you to park in a certain location to check in. When we checked in, front desk was very kind. I had no issues with the employees. You have to pay for self parking and valet. It's the same price so we did valet parking. Valet was very nice too. We stayed in a room with a king bed. When you entered the room it was extremely humid & smelled a little bit like sewer. I wasn't surprised because it is an old building and also because the reviews had mentioned it as well. Our room had a balcony with chairs to sit. I thought this was very nice. Our room also had a safe, mini fridge & a microwave! I have never stayed in a room with a microwave. The room was pretty clean. I did not see any cleaning flaws. The bed was a little uncomfortable but tolerable. TV had cable and the hotel offered free wifi. The bathroom was fully stocked with towels, toilet paper & toiletries. The only thing I was not a fan of was the low water pressure of the shower. Other than that I have no complaints. Check out was very smooth. I was able to do it via online. They send an email the day of and you're able to click a link provides to check out. You also confirm your bill prior to check out. Honestly, I would give 4/5 stars. Only because of the smell and the water pressure. As I said, it is an old hotel so it's expected of it. It is right across the street from Disneyland so I would stay again.

Yelp
Location, location, location. This hotel is directly across from Disneyland and about a 10 minute walk to the front gate. Just that alone is a timesaver for Disney tourists. It's a pretty big 2 story hotel. Lots of parking available. There's an outdoor swimming pool in the middle of the hotel. They have a store and a laundry room for guests. The rooms are pretty standard. Queen beds, a nice bathroom and clean furnishings. Everything you would expect for a budget type room. Cost was pretty affordable compared to other hotels in the area. Location is the key as it's so close to a lot of restaurants, stores and of course Disneyland. We walked back to the room during mid day to rest because it was so close. Then back in the later afternoon to close out the parks. I'll definitely be back to this place. Great value and excellent location.

Yelp
Pretty terrible hotel in a pretty awesome location. Booked this hotel due to its walking distance to Disneyland. Other than its location, there's nothing else positive about this place. We arrived after midnight and there was no staff at the front desk. Waited awhile for someone to show up then we started to purposely talk loud so we can make our presence known. Which ended up working bc a staff member finally came out of the back room. Didn't get the name of who checked us in but he wasn't friendly or helpful. Seemed displeased that he had to get up from whatever they were doing in the back to come help us. The only positive staff interaction we had was with the valet attendant who was very helpful about where we can self park and he even helped us find our room when the front desk clerk disappeared again. The room itself is very rundown and needs major updating. The lights in the room are terrible and harsh. We didn't even want to turn them on bc of how bright they were. Who puts bright white lights on the ceiling? Cleanliness was questionable. The shower curtains had ripped marks and the shower floor had hard water stains, which made it look dirty. I'm not sure if there was any room service done in our room bc when we got back from our day at Disney, the trash cans were emptied but our beds were not made and the towels were not replaced. I've stayed in a lot of Disney good neighbor hotels throughout the years--Tropicana is by far the worst in terms of rooms and service.
google avatar

Carlos C.

Yelp
We stayed for the first time in this Tropicana due to the proximity to Disneyland park. We tried first to get early check in but it wasn't available. When we got to our room we noticed an odd smell, smelled like feet inside and even after opening the windows for a while we couldn't get rid of the smell. Amenities within the room are average, bathroom area is okay. The general vibe of this "hotel" is more of a motel with a couple of renovations to make it look a little bit better but still poor/average experience. After airing the room for a whole day the smell finally came out. Staff entered our room while out to refresh towels but they just folded some used ones I think this hotel is overpriced because of the proximity to Disney but I don't think it is worth it; Camelot next door has bigger rooms and feels cleaner.

Yelp
We had a great experience here. This place is no frills - small pool, no breakfast, parking is limited but the valet will make sure you're taken care of. We loved being so close to the park. We could see the fireworks from the pool and our room's deck. Everyone that hung out at the pool at night was really chill which made it fun to stay here too. There's a little convenient store with snacks and drinks which was great. Would I stay here again? Sure. But if I had the money, I'd splurge on somewhere with a better pool and hot breakfast.
google avatar

Jackie M.

Yelp
The location is super convenient to the park but it stops there. We had a pill pack (days of the week style) stolen from our room and the front office did nothing about it and never followed up with us on it. Luckily it was mostly filled with vitamins but it's an uneasy feeling to have something stolen from your room. Outside hallways are musty. Rooms are no frills. I would not recommend staying here with small children.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Tropicana is decently priced, and you can't beat the location. Front desk was very polite. Unfortunately, that is all we liked about this motel. Once we arrived our son found a GIANT cockroach in the bathroom, alive. Comforters on both beds had stains. AC unit made it hard to sleep at night as it sounded like running water coming from the unit. There is no top latch on the door making us feel less secure.

Yelp
In general, I had a pretty good experience here. I recently stayed here for a Disneyland trip with my daughter. I usually like to stay on the S Harbor side of Disneyland so that I am close to the crosswalk and Tropicana is only one hotel over from being right on the crosswalk. When we checked in, I was very pleased to see that we actually got one of the balcony suites that over look the entrance to the hotel, right above the lobby. I mean, you could literally see the park across the street. The self-parking was out of spots so I had valet park my car at no extra cost. There was a convenient feature that allowed me to text or scan the QR code to let valet know that I would need my car, and when I get downstairs, the car would be waiting. Well....that feature didn't work, but it would've been cool. I just walked up to valet and they had my car in a couple minutes. No biggie. The room was very clean and I liked the layout of the stand up shower for some reason. I just found it very spacious and it had the perfect amount of shelf space on the wall to fit both mine and my daughters toiletries. The toilet seat however was a little unconformable. I think it was just a little too square and not very contoured on the edges lol. 5 nights of churros, Disneyland and sitting on that seat takes it toll. The king bed was comfy and my daughter got a kick out of the chair/pullout bed. She slept on that for the rest of the trip once she discovered it. I had weird experience while my daughter and I had come back to our room for our mid day break. I guess I though for sure that housekeeping would've come by already, but I heard a key open the door while I was in the bathroom. She announced herself, "housekeeping." I told her that I was in the bathroom. She asked if we needed towels and I asked her to please come back later. She just repeated, "you need towels??" I said, okay, just please leave them. I was a little freaked out at the idea of my being in there while my 8 year old was passed out taking a nap on the bed the whole time. From then on, I made sure to use the do not disturb sign anytime we were in there. I was really appreciative that there was a small convenience store at the hotel across from the lobby. We basically visited that place everyday. We always bought some drinks at the end of our night before we went back to the room. And those drinks were super cold. When you're coming back from the parks on a hot summer day, it feels amazing to just stand in front of their open cooler doors while getting your Gatorade. They also came through in a clutch. They just happened to have some bananas while my legs were cramping like crazy after the first day of walking. NICE One thing I wish I had either figured out or don't know if they even have was an elevator on our side. I noticed that there were elevators on the right side of the complex, but to get to our balcony suites, there were only stairs. I couldn't find away to get the luggage carts up to our room. We had a decent amount of stuff and I just ended up taking everything up and down in loads. Overall, I would definitely consider staying here again for future Disney trips.

Yelp
Right next to the park which is soooo clutch and sooooo worth it. Our room was cute and spacious and lovely with a nice balcony as well. Valet is nice and a sweet service as well. For the location and place the price is somewhat reasonable. We did have weird plumbing issues where the toilet would just not flush for awhile and it was kind of awkward. It hissed like the first day and a half we were there as well. Also we were barely in the room but when it was nighttime and we wanted to watch TV, the remote was very dated and we pretty much had to just channel up and channel down until we found something we wanted to watch. There was no way to access the guide menu from the remote unless we physically went up to the tv. That being said this is probably gonna be my go-to place to stay every time I visit Disneyland, hoping the tv and toilet issue was just a one time occurrence. As long as they don't have any insane price changes, they have a customer for life. Love the atmosphere and the location right next to the park! Was going to give 4/5 stars but I left an item there and they called us back later in the day after we left telling us about it which is great customer service!

Yelp
We have stayed at the Tropicana Inn and Suites many times in the past. This time was very disappointing. They no longer clean the rooms and have gotten rid of the free breakfast. Why? The reason the front desk gave was because of the Covid epidemic. This was over 2 or more years ago. We believe it is to save money. We called two other hotels on Harbor by the Tropicana and asked what their policy was. They could not believe that Tropicana was using Covid as an excuse to save money. Both hotels had room clean-up and served free breakfast in the morning. BIG PROBLEM. We requested adjoining rooms and were able to get them. No guarantee when you book. Problem was that there were NO DOORKNOBS between the connecting rooms. We had to call the front desk and wait for the service man to unlock both doors. Guess what? We could not close the doors since they locked as soon as we closed them. We would have had to call the service man each time to get them opened. The other two hotels had doorknobs that locked and unlocked. A chair pulled out to make a narrow bed. The only way to make up the bed was to lie sheets across it. Not able to tuck sheets or blankets in. We could not get an extra pillow. There are also two hotels that are closer to the Disney entrance. Tropicana is not right across the street.

Yelp
A great spot if you're looking for a hotel near Disneyland. A shorter walk than parking at the Mickey & Friends garage. If you have kids and need to take a break during the day, this place is a time saver. No walking to the car, loading up, and driving back to the hotel. It's literally a few minutes from the entrance. Hotel exterior and room was clean, friendly staff, housekeeping does daily trash removal & towel replacement, and if self parking spots are full then valet will park your car for free. Only criticism I have is the TV remote needs replacement, keys were faded, but easy to figure out. I will definitely stay again on the next Disney trip.

Kim C.

Yelp
We had a nice stay. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean. The sink was clogged and when I called, within five minutes, they were there fixing it. The location is the best part, right across the street from the park! I would stay here again.

Britney F.

Yelp
Do not stay here, big warning! MAJOR parking issue. Valet guy during the day said we could park our car anywhere that was open. We came back to grab something from the car at the end of the night, some valet jerk left this POST IT NOTE on our car. They tried claiming they called our room... ok because we are in our room during the day. So dumb and disrespectful. No ice machine in our building we had to hunt down the closest ice machine in the other building. The AC unit is super loud and annoying. Our tv did not work either. I'll pay more to stay at a better spot after this, never coming back and no manager ever reached out to me. Avoid this hotel.

Tana K.

Yelp
Great hotel! Right across the street from Disneyland! Mike at the check in desk was friendly and very helpful! Thank you Mike! Highly recommend.

Yelp
If you visit Disneyland parks, consider staying at the Tropicana Inn & Suites. The parks are just across the street and maybe a 5 minute walk tops to security. The beds are comfy, room was clean, and the room was quiet. I was skeptical since the stairwell was on the other side of the wall, but the room was super quiet! The room smelled a bit musty, but the A/C worked very well. We stay in the park from morning until it closes. This was worth every penny. The staff are very courteous and helpful. We will return soon!

Thomas H.

Yelp
Very very dirty rooms that smelled like mold. Plumbing of toilet messed up. Wouldn't stay there again

Yelp
Our room had flooding issues due to the heavy rain this past week. It got all our stuff wet that was near the patio door in the middle of the night. Told front desk about it and they let maintenance know about it and all they did was put a fan in attempts to dry the wet carpet but it did nothing. They told us there is nothing they can do since the room would have to be physically worked on. They didn't even offer any other mends. Not even a "we would love to put you in another room but we are sold out." Just a "sorry your room flooded...." We had to live with wet carpet for 4 days. Our card keys also expired 1 day too early so that was fun walking in the rain from Disney with tired kids and not being able to open our room to walk all the way back to have front desk fix it. They also strong arm you into using valet by making 60% of their parking lot valet spots only. When checking out I asked if they were going to do anything for us regarding our flood damaged room. Front desk said because we booked through Get Away Today there's nothing they can do. They wouldn't even comp my additional parking fee. Front desk said if I leave my phone number they will call me and have this resolved with satisfaction. We're on day 3 and I haven't received any calls and I'm now being given the run around when I try to call them that "They're still working on it."

Paul S.

Yelp
Horrible experience, there are cockroaches in your room be careful. We informed the front desk, and the response was more like oh it's normal we will send someone out to check. So basically it's a norm.

Roberto R.

Yelp
According to policy they will not do you beds only come in take out trash and leave towels. Policy never explained or anywhere in their website. "We have signs in the lobby" funny thing I stayed here back in may and beds were done but now all of the sudden because they are short staffed they blame it on the pandemic. As my teenage daughter would say "that was so last year" you can do better Tropicana

Nicole B.

Yelp
The smell in the room was terrible and the floors were not clean. The carpets were dirty and there was debris on the tile flooring. The sheets and comforter were very tattered and the fabric was rough. The air conditioning unit struggled to cool the room. Bathroom was spacious and family friendly with the sink and counter area separate from the toilet and shower. The staff was welcoming. The location was just a quick five minute walk to the Disney Parks entrance.

Yelp
I've been coming here since I was kid so I didn't bother checking reviews before this trip but I should have- they have a cockroach problem. The staff is aware and you can see in other people's reviews that the roach I found is not an isolated issue. I was showering and noticed an enormous cockroach in the shower with me. Very disgusting- toiletry bottle included in the pic for scale.

Yelp
Don't kid yourself, this is a motel. The don't come and tidy the room daily only switch out the towels. You can hear everything going on outside. The only plus part was the proximity to Disneyland. The market on the ground floor charges super high prices, $6.50 for a quart of milk!

Yelp
I wish I could give this lower then one star!!! The room had bugs coming out of the sink and the bathroom smelt so bad! That's not the worst thing! We came back from Disneyland and there was a HUGE cockroach in our tub!!! The office literally said all they could do was have a maintenance worker come get it. When I spoke with the manager the next morning she offered us $30 off our last nights stay which was NEVER credited! I will be reporting this hotel to every possible outlet! $1300 wasted on a disgusting place that doesn't even clean the rooms or anything!

Yelp
We were pleasantly surprised with our renovated rooms. The outside looks like a motel, but the inside was nice, clean, updated and roomy! Our family's favorite part was the water pressure in the shower! It was so nice and the water got really hot! Also the valets on the night we checked in and the day we checked out were really nice and friendly. The check in and out process went smoothly! They also have an on-site mini mart for necessities and souvenirs. The night clerk was so sweet! A con- elevators only in some areas, so we had to haul our luggage up and down the stairs.

Yelp
The reviews scared me but not as bad as everyone is saying. The door locks, curtain closes, bed is fine, not sinking, parking is valet as stated. Only downside- no EV charger on site and elevator access is only on the opposite side of our room so we had to use the stairs and carry our strollers up and down. It is pricey, tax charge is high, but it does the job..

Yelp
Great location to walk to Disneyland and this would be the first time I stayed here. I usually go to the best western mini suites one but it was booked. I wouldn't recommend Tropicana. A little strange how the hotel is literally outside. My friend and I stayed on the second floor and walked up steps and there were rooms. Doesn't seem safe if anyone could just walk up to a room. Downside: They didn't have completely full curtains so the outside light does get into your room. It has a super thin white cloth curtain and then fake curtains that are pulled to the side. You can't move the dark blue ones at all Fake curtains. Meh. If you are looking to have the room dark, good luck because it's not happening. My 1 complaint is that we got a lovely phone call at 4am about a noise complaint. What??? Why would you call to wake someone up so early? I think the best thing to do is to go investigate where the noise is coming from rather than waking people up super early. I did address it with the front desk receptionist and she said they got a complaint around our area and so they called all the rooms around that area. I find that really hard to believe. How would it make sense to call a lot of rooms and wake people up at 4 in the morning? That would piss a lot of people off!!

Yelp
This hotel is very understated! Love how close it is to the Disneyland entrance! We had a room on the 3rd floor facing the pool and had a wonderful view of the fireworks. It was clean and comfortable, has a microwave and fridge and It's surprisingly quiet.

Yelp
This place is alright, but we booked it for for $300 thinking this place was a hotel and came to find out it's a motel. The pool is way overhyped in all of the photos, it's in the middle of the small horseshoe parking lot.. There was no spots at all, the only open spot in the entire parking lot that we took belonged to the general manager (which we had no idea of) and we were asked to move. They'll most likely make you do valet. However, the rooms are nicely updated and the beds are comfortable. The staff are pretty rude. Good for a quick Disney trip though, within walking distance of Disney and many food places. It's okay, just a little expensive for what it is.

Yelp
)We stayed at this motel for two nights during a trip to Disneyland. The price was decent, but the added cost for parking made it almost overpriced. Of course this is one of the closest hotels to walk into Disneyland. So we were very pleased with that part of our stay. We didn't even need our car for the whole 3 days that we were there. I wouldn't be excited stay here again. But it would be on the lower end of the options list if needed. The good: *Super close to Disney *Relatively Clean and new looking *Price was fair for the proximity to Disney *They let you park there until 2:00 on the day that you check out which gives you a little more time to explore DTD. (However make sure that you leave NO LATER than 2:00 or you will be charged for a full day) The Bad: *The place is very small *There are no frills, accommodations are very simple *It's a motel, so there's no real barrier from outside sounds, however it was fairly quiet during our stay. *The sink was clogged so every time we used it there was an awful smell *Toiletries were basic *There is a router on the ceiling near the door in our room. At about 3:00 in the morning a bright light came out of nowhere and woke me up. When I called the front desk they had no idea what is was. Fortunately it went off by itself without needing anyone to come up and wake my family. But that was super annoying. My husband had to look it up the next morning to find out that it was a router.

Yelp
The musty carpets and smell in the room was my main issue, and overall a lack of cleanliness. We slept with the windows open because I had trouble breathing. Parking was limited and inconvenient, but we didn't intend to travel by car that's why we chose Tropicana in the first place for the amazingly easy walk to Disneyland, so it didn't really bother us. High price, great location, valet, The Tropicana checks all these boxes unfortunately none of that means it is going to be a high quality stay! So here's the positives: I didn't find noise to be a problem at all during our stay even with the windows open on weekend evenings which was nice. The walk to Disney is really awesome. The maintenance worker was kind and promptly opened the safe our child locked us out of. Valet were extremely kind and fast. With that said we will not be returning.

Yelp
The beds are horrible, especially if your partner or child sleeps in the bed with you. Every time they move, the bed shakes. Small movements, big movements....every move will wake you up. Constant shaking. The hotel was clean and the location was great. Our room requests were met, and they let us check in super early. However, unless they change the beds and mattresses, I would never recommend the place or stay here again. It's such a shame too, because the only change to make this a great place is modifying the bed frames to eliminate sway/shaking and getting quality mattresses.

Yelp
I am disgusted by Tropicana Inn & Suites! I booked a room for one night and when I woke up I was covered in bed bug bites. When I complained to the staff, they said they couldn't do anything regarding the situation. Never again will I be staying at this hotel again! If I could put 0 stars I would.

Yelp
I stayed here towards the end of May and found the experience to be very mediocre. The room was two queen beds, with the disability access and bathtub. It was relatively clean and the staff were friendly. However, the accommodations were cramped and small - definitely didn't have enough room for someone needing handicap access, especially a wheelchair. The room was not handicap accessible as a result. There were several loud noises throughout the night; the housekeepers evidently do cleaning at night, as we heard vacuuming above us at 1:17 AM. Several loud crashes at 5 and 6 AM as well. The walls are very thin, to the point that snoring can be heard through the wall at the head of the bed. The remotes don't change the input and they also don't work to change the channel or otherwise use the arrows to select anything, so you're out of luck if you want to watch TV and choose what you want to watch.

Yelp
Pros: clean , comfy, quiet, close to Disneyland, reasonable parking fees Cons: no chain latches on door! Missing other small things that are annoying such as a hanger for hand towel, hooks on luggage cart, cable guide, and the two queen room is smaller than their neighbors at best western park plus inn, (no where to sit and eat), yet similar price. Edited to add: although it's visibly clean, the carpets were filthy. I only know this because my kids would walk around w clean feet barefoot and then have black dirt all over them. ‍

Yelp
This place is just steps away from the Disneyland gates. Perfect for getting away for a nap after a rope drop morning and to enjoy evening entertainment. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. My double queen room was spacious for my needs since I had an ecv along with me.

Yelp
We stayed at this motel for 5 nights on our trip to Disneyland. The price was decent, because we were able to book 7 months ahead. This is one of the closest hotels to walk to Disneyland! We were so happy with the quick walk to Disney, that made the stay worth it. We did not pay for parking since we took an Uber from the airport, however, I heard that if you have a rental or your own car, parking charges can make your stay pricey. We were pleasantly surprised with the room we were assigned! It was a second floor King room above the lobby area, that had elevated ceilings and a balcony! What a sweet surprise. The ceilings really made it feel like the room was bigger. Pros: - Friendly Staff - Extremely close to Disney (3 minute walk) - Updated, clean - Attached convenience store Cons: - Basic room - Firm beds - Troubles at times with the AC window unit (probably user error lol) - TV remote worn/sticky Overall, no extreme issues. It provided us with what we wanted, safety and a comfortable place to stay. We'd stay here again because of the proximity to the parks, and friendliness of the staff!

Yelp
Close walking distance to Disneyland, had everything we needed, there's a store and coffee, a pool our kids loved after a day at Disneyland. Close to other places to eat outside of Disneyland.

Yelp
Like all the hotels in this strip but slightly nicer! They also had real cribs with real crib sheets! Shampoo and conditioner. Cute palm tree design on walls. Adjoining rooms! Obviously the best part is the location, incredibly easy walk to Disneyland!

Yelp
WARNING!!! THEY HAVE ROACHES AND FLEAS!!!! DON'T STAY HERE! ITS BEEN ONE WEEK AND THE MANGER PALOMA HAS YET TO CONTACT ME IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUE. DONT STAY HERE THERE ARE ROACHES IN THEIR HOTEL AS OF OCTOBER 25TH, 2019 AND THE MANGER PALOMA HAS YET TO CONTACT ME REGARDING THIS ISSUE! Thursday the 24th- I had issues checking-in as the reservation was under my family's name. We called and confirmed in advance with your hotel multiple times to make sure my name was added to the reservations so I would have no issues checking-in without them since everyone else weren't expected to arrive until Friday the 25th. Friday the 25th- My sons and I both wake up with bug bites on our lower legs/ankles and feet. I checked for bed bugs - didnt find any and the bites do not look like bed bug bites but more like flea bites. Saturday the 26th- My son wakes up in the morning and finds a cockroach on the bathroom floor. After showering I find yet another one crawling on the floor near the toilet. We immediately pack up our bags and bring them to our car. I had to toss out food/snacks in fear any cockroaches got into it. The only reason why I asked to change our room was bc years ago when this incident happen the manager offered to move us to a higher level and after doing so we didn't encounter anymore cockroaches so I figured this would be our best bet and because NO OTHER HOTELS HAD AVAILABILITY. I even asked the front desk if there was anything available at your sister-hotel, he said there was nothing available. Not only did we have to keep our new snacks/and most of our luggage in our car but we weren't even comfortable enough to unpack our bags and store our clothing in the drawers. We had to keep everything zipped in our suitcases for our entire stay. Sunday the 27th- Woke up to more bug bites (YOU HAVE COCKROACHES AND FLEAS IN THE FIRST ROOM WE STAYED IN AND FLEAS IN ROOM 204 AS WELL.) Sunday the 27th- We left our room at 10:30am. Housekeeping (white male) was next door to the left of us as we left. When we arrived a little after 5pm to rest a little bit our room was not serviced by housekeeping. We DID NOT hang any door signs. After resting I went to the lobby and asked to have housekeeping come to our room since they didnt earlier and was told that housekeeping left at 5pm and there is only one Male worker on scene and he can bring us towels/ sheets and empty trash but could not change the sheets we would have to do that ourselves since he's the only one working those hours. He left these items while we were out of the room and back in Disneyland. Monday Oct 28th- Check out and leave my number on file for Paloma to give me a call. It's now November 5th and I still havent received call- only a half ass apology to my brother forwarded to me and wasnt even addressed to me...? Maybe you don't take this issue serious enough or see the health risk in this so I've attached a photo of the first cockroach before I killed it as well as an identification chart.

Yelp
SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE Let me start by saying we are local to Anaheim and often go to Disneyland. So I thought we would treat ourselves to a night at a hotel and not have to worry about dealing with home life after my sons birthday trip. Well things did not go as planned. Prior to our arrival, I called to make sure that we can do a late check in being that we would be at Disneyland all day and only staying for the night. Once we check in (9:42), after paying the parking fee. We were then notified that it was valet parking only. Was not happy but it is what it is, right? So we walk over to Denny's for a late dinner, when we return our car was parked in the fire lane. We go to our room and start to settle in. Before actually going to bed, I call the front desk (11:08) and ask if my car would be moved (several available parking spaces in front of our room) I was not comfortable with it being in the fire lane. The front desk assured me that it would be moved and properly parked. We woke up at 7:32 and I went to check where the car was parked so we can go get breakfast. Guess where I found it, in the fire lane. I, yet again, call the front desk and ask what happened and they begin to tell me that since we were only staying for one night that, they left it there for our convenience. We payed to park in the fire lane. No real answer as to why. Front desk is telling me that the fire lane is a valet spot and the valet manager telling me it was an employee mistake. Long story short: If you have an issue, do not expect to get a straight answer. Know that there is a possibility that you car could be parked in the fire lane all night, even after they assure you that it will be parked correctly. Do not expect a high pressure shower. We had no issue with the room itself other than extremely low pressure in the shower, we were not there long enough to fully enjoy what we actually paid for. I just know, they wont get my business again
