My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and completely derailed my trip. From the moment I arrived, the flickering, partially lit sign set the tone for what was to come. The building looks run-down from the outside, and the interior is no better—worn-out and cheaply maintained. The rooms are dimly lit, but the real issue is the lack of ventilation. The windows are sealed shut, there are no fans, and the bathroom has no airflow. Within a day, the room started to develop an unpleasant odor. Given the overwhelming number of positive reviews, I find it hard to believe they are genuine.

Our recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. There was a complete lack of basic services and maintenance, making it far from the relaxing experience we had hoped for. Firstly, daily cleaning was nonexistent, and towels weren’t changed throughout our stay. To make matters worse, the elevator was out of service for two days out of the four we were there, causing major inconvenience. The hallways were another unpleasant surprise. Not only were the carpets visibly dirty, but there was also a large commercial garbage can placed right in the middle of them, creating an unsightly and unwelcoming atmosphere. Dust on top of the lobby sofas from the air conditioning vents added to the poor impression of cleanliness and upkeep. The bathrooms were outdated and poorly maintained, with tiles that had been painted over rather than replaced. In my son’s room, we even found ants—an unacceptable level of hygiene for any hotel. Even the pool, which we hoped would be a redeeming feature, was disappointing. The water was cloudy, raising concerns about cleanliness and safety. Overall, this hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards of comfort and cleanliness. I cannot recommend staying here and would advise looking elsewhere for better accommodations.

Overall, it was fine. The location is excellent, and the room was okay. However, the air conditioning was far too cold, even after using the magnet (key card). The shower didn’t work properly—it was either scalding hot or freezing cold, and the water pressure was terrible. I also couldn’t use the bathtub because the stopper was missing. The biggest issue, however, was the noise disturbance. Every night, it felt like someone was in the room with us. Around 5 or 6 in the morning, it sounded as though the cleaning staff or someone above us was working, creating a lot of noise.

Such good value for money. Renovated and well decorated. The pool, WiFi and rooms are exactly what I needed. Service was excellent solving any small issues and super helpful. The rooms could do with better lighting and pillows but for the price it’s a winner.

The Area is really good, in the middle of south beach. The rooms are spacious and well decorated, everything was very clean when we arrived. Check in is easy and even though the front desk is only occupied from 9-5 we unever had any issue getting immediate help via Airbnb outside those times. Everyone we talked to was helpful and friendly. There is a washing machine and a dryer that can be used for a small fee. There were two small negatives: the rooms, especially the AC, is loud. Since the windows don’t open our room got very stuffy without AC. And the kitchen isn’t super well equipped. There are a lot of pots, but only one almost broken Coffee maker and no real plates/ bowls/ cutlery. Sometimes paper plates, sometimes plastic cutlery, not always though. All in all we would definitely come back though!

I stayed at the Tropics Hotel & Hostel in Miami Beach, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The listing on Airbnb completely misrepresented the property, and I feel scammed by the false advertising.|The listing described the accommodation as having a private kitchen, but upon arrival, I discovered the kitchen was shared. This was not the private space I had paid for. Additionally, the property had serious issues with cleanliness and safety:| • Ants were present in the shared kitchen, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable.| • The pool was dirty, and to make matters worse, there was no lifeguard or any security measures in place.| • When I injured my finger during my stay, I found out the hotel didn’t even have a first aid kit available, which is a basic safety requirement.|I reported these issues to Airbnb and tried to resolve them, but I was left waiting for over a month without any meaningful response. It was a deeply frustrating experience, and I felt trapped since I had no alternative accommodation.|Adding to the disappointment, after leaving my review on Tripadvisor, they recently informed me that my review has been removed because the property is now under new ownership. This feels like another layer of deceit, as the underlying issues with the property may still persist.|I strongly advise future guests to avoid this property. Misleading advertising, lack of basic amenities, and poor management make it one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. I hope the new owners take action to fix these glaring problems, but until then, proceed with caution—or better yet, find somewhere else.

I booked this expecting a private apartment with its own kitchen as it was advertised on Airbnb , but it turned out to be a 2-star hotel with shared kitchen facilities only. The shared kitchen was filthy! This wasn’t clear in the listing, and I felt misled. The description should be updated to reflect that it’s a hotel, not an apartment. I wouldn’t have booked if I had known the true setup.

We had the pleasure of staying here for 10 days, and it has been an absolute surprise. We’ve stayed at several hotels in South Beach before, and this is now our go-to place! The bathroom was new and clean. The room was pleasantly furnished with a king-size bed and a 50-inch smart TV with many channels. The hotel also has a small pool for guests only, with sunbeds and umbrellas, which was very nice and quiet. The most relaxing part was the check-in process, which was made so ingeniously simple via messages. We received our room door code before we arrived. The front door of the hotel is also locked with a code, which gave us a sense of security that we really liked. Would come back here again, 10/10!
