An easily accessible, quiet and pleasant beach to visit. Grab a coconut from a nearby vender, take a seat on the beach, and relax! Also, take advantage of the nearby hiking trail that takes you through scenic terrain and eventually leads you to some spectacular hidden coves for a more intimate beach experience.

Trou d’Argent is one of the most breathtaking and peaceful beaches I’ve visited in Mauritius, specifically on the island of Rodrigues. It’s a bit of a hike to reach—around 20–30 minutes through coastal trails—but the walk is absolutely worth it. The views along the way are stunning, and the path itself is an adventure. The beach is tucked between cliffs, creating a quiet, sheltered cove with soft white sand and incredibly clear, turquoise water. It’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying the peaceful surroundings. There are no shops or facilities nearby, which makes the experience even more serene and unspoiled—just be sure to bring your own water, snacks, and sunscreen. If you’re visiting Rodrigues or Mauritius in general, don’t miss the chance to explore Trou d’Argent. It’s a slice of paradise away from the crowds.

Very nice secluded beach with striped walls washed by erosion. There are steps going down after walking 30-45 minutes

This place was so beautiful. Very peaceful, quiet, the sound of the waves are soothing. Going there was a little bit of a hike but really worth it

Please go. Please swim. DO. NOT. MISS this spot! Such a beauty! It's a 40min hike for those who are physically fit and still a challenge because of the hilly and rugged landscape but it's absolutely worth it. I will go there again and again and again.

Very beautiful place on earth, but for us the best one was the last one hiking from st Francois (called anse bouteil) it was the only one clean! Unfortunatelty is mega filthy! Plastic allover! As a piece of nature art is amazing. For us it took around 20min walking from the gate park and back!
