Highly recommend! Lots of steps to get down to it tho. But it's built like a tree house. Overlooking the pools of trout. Excellent food and service. Nice and cool.

Delicious food and nice, friendly staff. The place is amazing. Situated on the tree with the view full of nature, trees, bushes and fish pounds. The restaurant is perfect for children: birds and monkeys are flying/jumping around, you can meet a chameleon too and even feed the fish! There's also a small playground.

I recently visited Trout Tree Restaurant, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. To begin with, the food was served cold, which was quite disappointing considering the restaurant's reputation. I was hoping for a fresh, hot meal, but it seemed like the dishes had been sitting out for a while before reaching our table. In addition, the portion sizes were surprisingly small, especially given the high prices. I don’t mind paying a premium for quality food, but in this case, the value just wasn’t there. It felt more like a snack than a proper meal. What made things worse was the attitude of the staff. They were noticeably unwelcoming and inattentive throughout our visit. It was difficult to get anyone’s attention, and when we did, the responses were curt and dismissive. Overall, I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. I had heard good things about this place, but sadly, it did not live up to the expectations. I hope the management takes feedback seriously and works on improving both the food quality and the customer service.

The place is very beautiful. The ambience and feel is amazing. Second visit, the food is quite good. Enjoyed the grilled trout. The spinach was done just right and the roast potatoes were excellent. The portion was a bit small or the food was very good, needs another visit to determine. The drink chilling method is quite ingenious.

A wonderful place approx. 16 km outside Nanyuki to eat the freshest trout ever. Located ‚in‘ a treehouse with a view to the bush and fish ponts. By the way..we as westerners took matatus from Nanyuki ( forth and back). That worked well and we were also an attraction for the locals.
