Truckee River

The river is always a place where people can come and relax from their grind. It's one of the things that make Reno what it is. It's generally very relaxing to spend time next to, and there are all kinds of different spots connected to it to explore.

Along the Truckee River is incredibly stunning this time of year. The vivid colors of the leaves changing into their fall attire is nothing short of magnificent. The recent rains brought the sweet aroma of our native white sage and sweet grass to enjoy. So tranquil.

Gorgeous. Lots of rafting options. Some class 3 rapids. Most excellent place for a dip. We were lucky to get out there without any smoke from the fires so I definitely recommend checking the air quality forecast before you head out. Though.. It would still be just as awesome a trip.

I don't know how I could rate a river anything but five star but this particular River really deserves it. I've lived along this River for most of my life now and a ground to really appreciate its amazing diversity and beauty all the way from Lake Tahoe out to Pyramid Lake, never being disappointed. It is an amazing River for fishing and recreation and just plain enjoyment.

It is tranquil. You can fish, raft or just hang out. It can be busy; you just need to know when and where to get to your spot; it is possible. The sound of water, the sound of wind and the sound of trees moving when you are with lives that are important to you, priceless.

The Truckee River runs through downtown Reno and adds charm to the rugged area. It's nice to stroll along and sit to enjoy it. You can even dip your feet in or go swimming in certain areas. There are restaurants, hotels and bars along the river walk too.

Grew up in the area and loved tubing down the river

Watch out for Bears!! Beautiful place to stop and stretch your legs. Sometimes you'll even see a fly fisherman or two. Very serene.
