Trudon - Soho

Cute store and the guy was very helpful. But this product has declined significantly. I purchased Fir in classic size. I was looking at the digital art on the glass when I brought it home and noticed The metal medallion sticker wasn’t even applied to the candle and was sticking out. While I was looking at this the candle slid out of the votive and slammed onto my counter top. This is the sign of rushed fill and cooling process. Super disappointed in this brand lately.

Do not buy from Trudon if you expect competent customer service. I reported a defective candle on Nov 13 due to an uneven burn. Trudon handled the exchange directly and issued a return label. I shipped the candle back on Nov 21, and it was delivered on Nov 28. On Dec 10, I was told a replacement had been sent and that I would receive confirmation. That was false. There was no shipment, no tracking, and no communication unless I followed up repeatedly. As of Jan 6, I still had not received the replacement. The issue only moved forward after multiple escalations and requesting management involvement. A basic exchange has taken several months and required constant chasing. If something goes wrong with your purchase, expect delays, silence, and miscommunication. At this price point, there is no excuse for this level of customer service.

I went to the store just to try out their newest perfume line. Both of the sales associates are so nice, they gave me 2 samples which also got my friends came in and bought a full bottle right away. I only picked a travel size VIXI since my luggage is limited, but definitely order some extra candle.

The smell of rich cedar and jasmine gentle awakens your senses when you open the door. Coming in, I had one scent in mind; Arabian mint, it’s my favorite. When asking for other recommendations, the salesperson took us around the store to introduce us to new scents and products; comparing favorites or customer favorites. Really brilliant customer service, and quality products.

Trudon Soho is such a wonderful shop, and Jared is the best ! I always have such a calm, peaceful, and enriching time with him whenever I visit. He is so knowledgeable and well versed and has made finding the perfect candles for my home an absolute joy. I always look forward to my next visit :) Thanks so much

I will never be a customer here again after being a loyal customer who spends a lot of money at this store. Really disappointed with the customer service since some of the main sales assistants left the store. The new front of house is really unpleasant to deal with!

I purchased a candle in a boutique in Paris. When I opened the box, there was many flaws on the vessel. The coloring was scratched off in multiple places. Huge gap the size of half of my finger nail. I sent a customer care form online on December 5, 2023 written in English and French. The reply came on December 6 that they would be kind enough to request a replacement candle and send it to me. Since then I’ve heard nothing; it is almost a month that has passed. The North American Sales & Operations Admin Harp K at the NYC Spring Street location was my point of contact. What LACK of CARE and poor quality control on products. A huge disappointment in this high end candle brand.

If ever there was a luxury candle shop it's Cire Trudon. The store is bursting with history and opulence. As soon as you walk in anger a whiff you will fall in love. This love does come at a steep price. If anyone has told me I would pay $95 for a candle, I never would have believed them. However I did and never regretted it. Treat yourself, you will be so glad that you did.

Doesn't get better- this location has the entire TRUDON catalogue! When I'm looking to treat myself in SOHO, this is a must stop.

This is a beautiful tiny gem of a store. For those of us who love candles, this is a must visit! Being the oldest candle company in the world, there's something mysterious​ and fascinating​ about their scents and look that draws you in and you can't look away or stop smelling. The brand is as unique as it comes, so if you are looking for a luxury candle like you have never smell before, this is a must have! The brand, location, and the store itself get a definitely​ 5 star! My review is about the service and the terrible experience I had. I walked in with a friend excited to visit the place for the first time. There was just one associate behind a counter looking down who barely acknowledges​ us. As we are walking through the tiny place, my friend asks me which one is the popular mint scent, I refer to it as the "mojito scent" and I don't see it out. The lady from behind the counter starts trying to tell my friend which one it is like if it was a flea market! "This one, that one, no to your right" I mean, I'm going to be paying how much for a candle and you can't get up from what looks like a stool from where we were and show us? She finally walks over and shows us as quickly as she went back to whatever she was doing. My friend knows I am a little candle obsessed so she asked me a question about why one of the candles was cracking on the edges or separating from the glass, and I said I thought these were paraffin​ and tried to tell my friend what I thought (which is not a whole lot) when the sweet sales associate interrupts​ me pretty much yelling from her throne behind the counter saying ​that they were not paraffin, that they were vegetable wax. This is great information that as a consumer I would love to have, but not thrown at me with that attitude. She asked who had said that they were paraffin and then said something about competitors. At this point, I don't even know what else she said because​ I stopped listening as she wasn't even looking up at us. I mean we were the only costumers in the super tiny store and she could not stop what she was doing and educate us and... I don't​ know, wild idea, but maybe do her job and try to sell something? All of this happened in about 5 minutes on a Friday afternoon around 4:30pm. I would give it 1 star for this experience, but I like the fact that I now know they are not paraffin wax candles even though it was thrown at me like a wet rag over a fire. Maybe the lady at the Brazilian store a couple of doors down just set the bar too high, because she was so sweet, the complete opposite. I am not one to complain about these things, but this was bad!

This candle shop is incredible and Celine was so nice. She is very knowledgeable kind and helpful. These candles are absolutely amazing. Since it is the only shop in the US I wanted to stock up. Celine offered to mail them to my home free of charge. She made sure to deliver them so they would arrive the very next day I returned home. They arrived safe and sound. Thank you so much Celine! I've been burning them every day and I love them!!!

Beautiful candle shop in Manhattan recently opened in the charming Nolita neighborhood by the world's oldest candle maker ! A large set of candles with wonderful fragrances and essences ... It was like i never bought a real candle in my life . A good experience with a great service ! It's worth a try and discover ...

Gorgeous candle shop. Only one in US! Deliciously fragrant candles, a bit pricey but so worth it. Def will be back!
