True Blue Bay Boutique Resort

We recently stayed at True Blue Bay Hotel and had a mostly wonderful experience. **Pros:** - **Friendly Staff**: From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly staff welcomed us at the airport and made us feel at home. - **Relaxed Atmosphere**: The hotel has a nice, relaxed atmosphere that was perfect for unwinding. - **Spacious Villa**: Our villa was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for our family to spread out and enjoy our stay. - **Kid-Friendly Pool**: The pool area was fantastic for our kids, who loved spending time splashing around. **Cons:** - **Evening Restaurant Service**: Unfortunately, our experience with the restaurant staff during evening dinners was not great. The service was slow, and the staff seemed not very service-minded. The food took forever to arrive, which was disappointing. - **High Prices**: As expected in Grenada, the prices for accommodation and food and beverages were quite high. This seems to be a common issue across the island. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, thanks to the friendly and accommodating staff and the lovely hotel amenities. We hope that the restaurant service will improve in the future.

We stayed at True Blue Bay for 5 nights. We would have stayed longer however, we were on to another resort on the island to experience more. I have some very fond memories and was more then pleased with the resort. We arrived and were greeted by smiling faces and happy front desk staff. Upon a smooth and quick check-in we were taken to our room which was immaculate. We stayed in the water front two level suite, more like a condo I would say. They have several pools, that were also clean and well attended. We never lacked for a place to hunker down, there was shade and sun spots. They did a happy hour of rum punch at one of the pools everyday. We loved this. The layout of the resort is awesome, nice walking piers, beautiful restaurant literally on the water, dive shop just around the bend, an awesome outdoor bar by the middle pool and although we didn't use any of the water sports equipment it was there and looked to be in great condition. They although you put dinners and drinks on your room which is super convenient. I also want to point out that they include breakfast. The breakfast was not only fresh and had an abundance of choices but they would do made to order eggs of any kind. My husband I think had an omelet everyday. There is also many drinks to choose from in the morning breakfast and one of our favorite things about this was a they would have a different hot tea out every morning. My husband and I tried all of them. Lovely touch. One last note, the staff at this resort take care of anything and everything you may need. Anytime we needed a taxi, a recommendation, directions, even rented us a car for the day, very accommodating. Now for the fun part, here are some staff members who went above and beyond for us, Brandt front desk, Sky, Hope thanks for the fun and rum punch, Christel super fun, Therisa and of course Kiana our omelet specialist. Thanks for making our first Grenada trip amazing and sharing your beautiful island with us. Hope to return again.

Wonderful resort - superb location to access town, beach and other activities. Loads of variety at the resort, with different themes in the restaurant every night, 4 pools each with their own vibe, escape, spa. Very clean rooms. Delicious drinks. A brilliant base to explore and plenty to do if you don’t want to leave the resort!

The grounds of the hotel are very tropical and well maintained, check in was a breeze. The Buffett breakfast is plentiful with many choices, including omelets. There is one restaurant, it is on the water with pretty views. More dinner choices and lunch choices would be recommended as this is the only restaurant at this resort. The food was good and freshly prepared. The resort could use a snack bar at one of the pools. The pool areas have no bar or food service. There is also no towel service at the pools. The linen service overall is poor for the rooms. It is difficult to get any extra linens if needed. The quality of the towels is poor also. The lounge chairs at the pools need updating and cushions should be provided. The shuttle service to the beach was very good, the drivers are friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Grenada is not built up or commercial. If you enjoy a rustic, genuine and natural tropical setting then Grenada is for you.

The hotel staff are very friendly and respectful. The room was beautifully organized and decorated for the birthday lady. The view just gave peace and tranquillity. We will definitely be back again for another staycation and next time we will stay longer. The breakfast buffet was great also !!!

My review is a mix of positives and areas for improvement. While the rooms, pool, and breakfast dock area could use some refreshing, some standout features make this hotel worth considering.|Breakfast was a bit repetitive, with the same selection each morning. The warm selection, which included omelette, bacon, sausage, vegetables, and salt fish, remained unchanged. The only noticeable change was in the fruit juice.|The staff are 90% fantastic! Friendly, helpful, and always ready to say hello. 10% need retraining. You can say hello, and they will look at you but ignore you entirely. There were a couple of ladies at reception. Wow, they talked to each other and completely behaved like you were not standing there. It's a shame, as the other staff were so lovely. The few sullen members of the team ruin it for the rest.|The food in the restaurant was a highlight of our stay, consistently fantastic and a true delight for the taste buds. We found ourselves returning to the restaurant multiple times, each visit a culinary adventure. The drinks and bar staff were equally impressive, adding to the overall dining experience.|The street food night on Wednesdays is a must! What an absolutely amazing night with excellent entertainment.|Take a tour with Aquanauts straight off the True Blue dock, which is such a bonus, I had a fabulous morning snorkelling.|We did have a great holiday, but we took advantage of catching the shuttle to the beach more often than not, as the beds around the pool needed updating. |While we were there, it was my partner's birthday, and the hotel marked the occasion with a birthday message and a bottle of wine in the room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Despite a somewhat late check-in due to rooms being prepared, we had an enjoyable stay. The resort is gorgeous with fun and quirky decor and a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. The breakfast is delicious and our room was comfortable and well supplied.

This was our 3rd time to True Blue. It was a very relaxing vacation! We enjoyed ourselves tremendously and felt at home while we visited! ||The housekeeping staff were so friendly and helpful making sure no fragrance was used in the room and keeping the room clean each day. ||Front desk staff, concierge and most waitresses/waiters were all so helpful and friendly (going out of their way to make us enjoy our vacation). They sure made us feel at home!||Street Food Night (on Wednesday) was great! Great food and great music! ||At Dodgy Dock Restaurant we ended up canceling a dinner and not booking another due to getting the same waitress the first 2 times we booked at the restaurant. We felt like she took our orders and left. Someone else delivered it to us both nights and on the 2nd night she didn't even deliever our drinks we had ordered (we ate without drinks)! It was like she said hi, took our orders and left! We ended up paying at the hostess desk and leaving early both nights.|I'm hoping they will try and improve their staff that need a bit more training. I would hate them to lose business over 1 staff member. We would have eaten there a couple of more times if it hadn't been like this 2 nights in a row. ||If this had been our 1st visit to True Blue I don't think I would want to go back the next time we would go to Grenada. ||Oh... you have to try new House of Chocolate Bakery!!!
