"Why we love it: An amenity-filled property that sits near all the action The Highlights: - Amenities like four pools, a treetop spa, and an open-air yoga studio - An on-site diving school and expedition boat - The sunset views from the Bay View rooms The Review: Located near St. George’s University, the all-inclusive True Blue Bay Boutique Resort is also right on a marina and just a five-minute drive from the airport, putting it at the center of all the action. Though it doesn’t have its own beach, it does offer shuttles to Grand Anse, which is a mere 10 minutes away, plus there’s plenty else to do on property. There are four small but well-maintained pools; a spa that uses local ingredients like chocolate and nutmeg for its treatments; an open-air yoga studio with treetop views; and a top-notch dive school that offers quick courses as well as multi-day PADI certifications. Guests already certified to dive can take advantage of four dives per day included in their stay, while landlubbers can opt for rum and chocolate tastings, cooking classes, non-motorized watersports, and fun kids’ activities. When hunger strikes, head to on-site restaurant Dodgy Dock, which regularly hosts theme nights like Street Food, Romantic BBQ, and Cocoa Thursdays. Should you prefer to cook for yourself, accommodations here, which range from rooms to suites to villas, include kitchenettes and outdoor seating with epic views. Villas can even sleep up to six people and feature private plunge pools for added luxury."

9 Must-Try Dishes in Grenada - AFAR

"A lively, waterside venue at True Blue Bay Boutique Resort that draws the biggest crowds for its weekly street‑food night (especially Wednesdays), when vendors line the terrace with whole fried fish, roti, Asian eats and more; the event is festive, popular with Saint George’s University students, features live bands and plenty of dancing." - Terry Ward

Had a fantastic time at True Blue Bay resort this week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was an eclectic mix of Grenadian cuisine with a bit of South America thrown in. Quesadillas are not Grenadian. There’s some form of entertainment every night. Wednesday is particularly lively and interesting as you get to sample local cuisine at the street food party. I’m no longer a meat eater but I did spot souse, lambi, oil down and lots of other local dishes looking tasty and fresh, on offer. True Blue Bay resort is well placed as the hotel offers short shuttle to Grand Anse and BBC beaches and you could walk to shops etc. Grenada is a beautiful, small but perfectly formed Caribbean island. Try True Blue Bay resort if you’re looking for eclectic, boutique, unique hotel, with spacious rooms, nearby swimming pools (there are 4), and turtles. There are turtle shapes and motifs all over to resort. Would recommend.

In my opinion, this is by far the best place to stay in Grenada. Sure, there are some fantastic resorts over on Grand Anse- but those resorts could be on any island. True Blue has a great Grenada feeling. It feels comfortable without being stuck up. The faces are always friendly and ready to assist. The onsite restaurant is great. ||I was there for an event at the University and it is an incredible short, safe walk over to SGU.

Staying at True Blue Bay Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not just as guests—but as extended family. The vibrant colors, eco-conscious design, and breezy Caribbean charm made every corner of the resort feel alive with soul and intention. What truly sets True Blue Bay apart, though, are its owners—Russ and Magdalena. Their warmth, presence, and commitment to the community are woven into every part of the experience. You can feel their care in the details: the locally sourced meals, the sustainability efforts, the smiling team that treats you like more than a booking. The rooms are stunning—bright, spacious, and thoughtfully curated with island-inspired art and natural textures. The pools are pristine, the yoga deck overlooks the bay, and the on-site dive center makes exploring Grenada’s waters effortless and exhilarating. But above all, it’s the energy of the place—uplifting, welcoming, and deeply human—that makes True Blue Bay Resort unforgettable. It’s not just a resort; it’s a homegrown gem that reminds you of what travel should feel like: authentic, joyful, and full of heart. Five stars is not enough. Can’t wait to return.

A short but fantastic stay. Absolutely loved the hotel and felt so at home. We had a beautiful room with a balcony and right by the pool area, waking up and seeing one of the resident cats on the balcony was a highlight!|The hotel itself had lots of quirky decor and beautiful grounds. ||We dined onsite for breakfast, lunch and dinner and loved all the options, particularly the Calahoo chicken and roti. The street food evening was also a great night with lots of lovely food & music. Also loved the complimentary ice and water coolers! ||Afternoon pool cocktail and banana bread was a nice touch and brought everyone together. ||Fantastic team, very accommodating and friendly whenever needed. ||In general a perfect location, shuttle to the beach was also an added bonus, really nice to have the option to see two of the local beaches.||Wish we had more time to enjoy and explore but will definitely be back. THANK YOU!!

I liked this place better before. I stayed here end of June. I was unlucky to miss my flight, contacted the hotel to see if I would be able to push my stay for 1 day later. The new management said no, so I lost a night. I would have stayed 3 more nights but went elsewhere. I like the breakfast. Wish they had more local options. On Caribbean vacation I don’t want the usual pancakes. Ms Ester made bakes one morning and it was truly the best breakfast.

This was our first trip to Grenada and are so glad we stayed at True Blue Bay Resort. The staff are the number one reason to stay here but that is not saying the quality of the accommodation or facilities are lacking in anyway whatsoever. From the moment we were greeted by Lynthia and Brant after a long, tiring, delayed flight from the UK we just felt the tension drift away. Our room (Waterfront) was roomy, fresh, clean and had everything we needed to feel right at home straightaway. The bed was large and comfy with oodles of pillows to choose from, such a treat after being cooped up on a plane for ages! |We hired a car from Sanvics, arranged by the front desk with no trouble at all and hugely enjoyed getting out and about exploring the island. Don’t be put off by tales of potholes, speed bumps and crazy drivers, yes they are out there but so long as you drive with care it’s easy enough to deal with. If you get a local bus up behind you, just pull over and let them pass, the toot of the horn isn’t because you’ve annoyed them, they’re just saying thanks for moving over! Don’t be afraid to pull up at any of the beautiful beaches and viewpoints and strike up a conversation with whoever happens to be there, everyone we met was so pleased to spend time with us and were more than happy to tell us about where we were and give hints on where to go next. |The boutique at the resort was delightful, Cindy and her team are lovely and we came home with some wonderful gifts for the family (and ourselves!)|The on-site dive centre is a definite five star operation and a brilliant addition to the True Blue experience.|Thank you to Kevin (GM) and the entire TBBR team, too many to name but a big shout out to Hope, Lynthia, Brant, Tonya, Edge, Sky, Joel, Tevon and Chris (who never forgot our breakfast order!) for all the laughs, chats and giving us the desire to return to Grenada.

Great welcoming staff, and great experience for lunch and dinner! The pools were clean and beautiful! People there were friendly, both staff and patrons. Great gift shop! The bar by the pool opened at 1100 am for cold drinks. Lunch was served on the wonderful deck overlooking the bay. Would definitely return!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to after my experience at True Blue Bay Resort in Grenada. I arrived ahead of my husband and kids for my sister’s wedding and chose this resort because of its location close to her home. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome. Without hesitation, they gave me a tour of the property, and I immediately decided to book my stay. The booking process was quick and easy, and it set the tone for everything that followed. The girls at the front desk were absolute sweethearts! The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. A bit on the older side but they’re working on it (renovations in progress on the property). Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was absolutely delicious every single morning. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person; from the front desk to the chefs, the bartender by the pool, and even the manager (I think), was warm, kind, and helpful. One of the highlights for my kids was when the manager personally helped them rescue a turtle that had flipped over on to its back. That small act speaks volumes about the care and attentiveness of the team. As someone from another Caribbean island with a strong accent, I’ve unfortunately experienced hospitality that felt less enthusiastic when compared to how tourists from larger countries are treated. But that was not the case at True Blue Bay. The staff treated every guest with equal kindness and attention. It was genuine and consistent and it made me feel completely at home. True Blue Bay Resort offers more than just beautiful views and good food, they offer heart, authenticity, and service that goes above and beyond. That kind of hospitality is rare and, in my opinion, worth more than any five star rating. Highly recommended. I’ll definitely be back.
