Quickly stopped by to get some food for my cats, and ended up having the loveliest chat with Mandy and David!! Mandy was soooo nice and helpful - she made several calls to help me track down the Smack Veryberry with the old recipe. She really went the extra mile to make sure my cats can get what they want. ❤️ David gave me a lot of tips/pointers and shared valuable experience! Thank you so much for the duck heart and kettle fish - Pipi is over the moon!! 💖💖💖 The store has the best atmosphere with its amazing owner and clerks. Will visit again for sure!

True Carnivore has been amazing. Every time I’ve gone in, whether I’m trying something new or just need advice, the staff are so patient and helpful—Mandy especially. Their raw and cooked food options are really great, and the Love Bugs probiotic has been a total game-changer for digestion. Even with a dog that’s allergic to a million things—pork, chicken, goat, tripe (maybe) —they keep suggesting safe stuff and helping me figure things out without ever making me feel judged. Their freeze-dried liver treat is such a good price, but for some reason it doesn’t work for my dog even though the PureBites liver does, and they’ve been super helpful in troubleshooting that and finding other options. Their Butcher’s Blend food is the best value—especially the beef, salmon, tripe mix, which almost worked for my dog—and they have a frequent buyer program for that product that was designed just for True Carnivore. Online shopping even gets you points on certain items and free delivery over $75. I just really appreciate how supportive they are, how they actually listen, and how they keep helping you make things work. Definitely a place I trust and would recommend to anyone with a picky/sensitive pup.

This shop is a paradise for pet parents who feed raw, and they also have an extensive selection of high-quality prepackaged treats that are single ingredient, a variety of chews, and training sized treats. There's something for every pet here. The amazing part is the frozen section in which you can select pieces/portions individually and build your own bowl. There are lots of options for both surf and/or turf and many different animal parts and bones to choose from. The staff working at the shop are so kind and love to treat the pup visitors. They also sell cooler bags in case you've forgotten yours or need to keep it cold for longer on your way to your destination. They carry so many different brands of frozen meal options depending on preferences, needs, and budget. Pet parents need to include this place as a routine place to stop and shop.

My dog likes boiled bison tongue, boiled organ meat and lean meat. It really depends on his mood. It’s mommy’s fault that she can’t figure out what he wants. He also loves freeze dried treats. He tried raw, liked the taste but ended up throwing up so we’ll stick to boiled/cooked food. My dog can outrun any size dog at the park in duration lol We tried the trail mix for the first time. My dog could not withhold his excitement. He had several dried fish (I think they are giant sardines). I was very impressed by the variety and no odour. He tried the rabbit foot for the first time and he loved it. It's been few days and no throwing up. I will certainly get more for him. His main lean meat of daily choice right now is quail so we grab those regularly. Otherwise, he gets mad.

David was extremely helpful in helping me get comfortable switching my dog over to raw and even gave me his cell phone number in case I had any questions come up! My dog has never been healthier and happier!

If you’re looking for high-quality, healthy raw food, treats, and chews for your pup, this is the place. It’s our favourite local shop with so many options. You can find anything your dog loves here! We live in the neighborhood and have gotten to know the staff. They are always so helpful and kind, and give our dog yummy treats whenever he visits. We love the selection of bully sticks and chews for our GSD, and always pick up a bag of their own brand of treats that are locally made and full of good, healthy ingredients. We recently bought the Pork Liver and Cranberry Soft Trainers and our dog Yoda is obsessed. Definitely give this place a try! Your pup will thank you.

I go every 1–2 weeks—amazing variety of meats and exotic ingredients, even whole lamb heads, quail, chicken heads, organs, and more. Since I discovered this place, it’s so much more fun making meals for my baby!

Must go and check out all their exotic proteins! They absolutely have the biggest variety of exotic meats for dogs and cats! Camel, alligator, emu, lamb head, furry cow ears, and more! They carry frozen, dehydrated, and freeze dry products. They are very generous with samples. Take your pup there, and they will love it! My dog can smell and recognize the shop 2 blocks away.

TCK is great all around. Mandy at the Kingsway location is a gem! What a welcome every time I go in! She remembers my preferred brand, size and protein and carries the 20 lb box to the counter for me. The selection of frozen raw food is amazing. The freezers are full of exotic snack choices that uses every part of the animal. It's very clean and well organized. Seems like everything they carry was carefully chosen and of high quality. I like the delivery option as well.

They close at 6pm but stayed open for me to get there at 6:03 pm. I get off work by the time I can rush there they close for the day. Thank you The place is super decked out with every raw you can imagine and they have frozen, freeze dried raws and refrigerated. The prices are super affordable too. Very reasonable prices. I've shopped FDR for 2 years now as my dog doesn't do kibbles and mostly human grade single ingredient treats so finding a store that isn't mixed with "crappier cheaper carby treats" was like OMG I HIT THE JACKPOT did a tiny spree shop today cuz I didn't wanna keep them too long but I really wanted to make sure they didn't stay open past closing for nothing. But I will try and find a day where I can spend an hour or so here and really scope out the goodies and do a decent shopping haul.
