True's Yard Fisherfolk Museum

A valuable asset for Kings Lynn, telling the history of King's Lynn fishermen, boat building, and the area, most of which now demolished. Highlight are the two preserved fishermen's cottages, so small hard to credit a family of ten could all live in one. Additional asset is a small tea room

Brilliant museum telling the story of the poorer part of town, that is now all but gone. Thank God the cottages and smokehouse were preserved so there is something left to give you a sense of how people lived. Very friendly team of staff and volunteers and lovely tea room with nice food.

This is a small but wonderful museum , really worth the £5 entry fee

Wonderful community museum with tearoom telling the stories of Kings Lynn’s fisherfolk community. The tearoom is fantastic, historic, bright and spacious with friendly staff serving good coffee sandwiches and snacks. You don’t need to visit the museum exhibition to drop in to the tearoom (but you should!)

Fantastic museum detailing the history of the fishing industry in King’s Lynn. Two preserved cottages showing how people of the day lived. Delightful tea room offering home made sandwiches and cakes. Highly recommended.

Came with my friend who is a descendent of the bennifers we had a fabulous time and met one of her relatives in the cafe..the place is ran by volunteers who were so lovely

A nice little museum with some very interesting displays about King's Lynn fishing history. I did find a few of the displays could have been a bit more developed though. Very helpful volunteers as well.

Ship models, personal stories and artifacts from this neighbourhood of fisherfolk in early times. Artwork is on display in the old smithy. Cottages at the rear display how people lived. There’s also a smokehouse and restored fishing vessel. Plus a tea room and gift shop. Worth a visit.
