Trung Trang Cave

Trung Trang Cave is an interesting and easy to visit cave with well lit paths and interesting rock formations. The walk through the cave is short but enjoyable, and the natural atmosphere makes it a nice stop when exploring Cat Ba Island. Worth a quick visit. Careful who has mobility issues as you will need to crouch down several times

Really cool cave definitely worth visiting if your in cat ba, the ticket also includes the walk to the peak/ national pk entrance down the road so it was so worth doing both in the same day- also don’t miss the specimens that are on the second floor in the national park they where very cool and interesting to see

Nice and quick trip. Around 100 steps to climb up at the start and few steps up down along the way. 15-30 min from beginning to end.

This was worth a visit in that it didn't feel like your typical large cave with lots ot stalagmites and stalictites. The entrance is accessed after walking up an external staircase that has great views. You then enter a reasonably spacious cave area. However the route through the caves leads through some quite small passages, some you'll have to crouch to get through, so maybe not best for the very claustrophobic.

It was a really great hike. And the cave is really big and gives a great Ecco for singing, I wish I had brought my guitar but I don't think it would have liked the hike.

Visited this cave as part of our 3 day 2 night cruise. We have visited many other caves in Vietnam. This one is relatively beat up by tourists and on the small side in comparison. Our tour guide actually hit the hollow stalagmites to make music! There were writings /cravings on the walls. In short, don't go out of the way to visit if you have more time in Vietnam to check out other caves. Tbh, to visit this cave as part of our cruise, it involved a boat and bus transfer. As someone that traveled thru Vietnam and have seen many other caves, it was not worth my time to visit. If you are going to visit Phong Nha, Ninh Binh or even Danang, there are a lot of caves that are easily 1000% better.

Very good for younger more mobile people, lots of low overheads and bending, nice experience though. Part of day trip from Hanoi, long day, 3 stops, including silk and pearl stores. Cruise also part of package. Was a good day out.

Entrance is free if you've been to the National Park. The caves are worth seeing, they are well lit and walkways are good. You can enjoy a meal and drinks at the restaurant on exiting the caves.
