The autumn scenery is fantastic of the Trusoveli, but May, with its deep green, must be especially beautiful. Trekking on a day with good weather is soothing to the soul.

The Trusovsky Gorge is a unique place of born the Terek River. This is an absolutely fantastic place to visit and enjoy the gorgeous pristine secluded nature. A hikers paradise in summer period with thrilling views, mountain beauty and fresh nature feeling.

We went there towards the end of October so it was pretty quiet. At first, we wanted to go with tour but the tour was closed from fall so the guest house host suggested a taxi and confirmed it was still safe to go. We picked the drop-off and pick up point by the cafe so that we did not walk much as we didn’t prepare gears and clothes for the cold. We noticed people walking from the bottom. If you like hiking, it’s great. I personally would not give it a go as there was nothing much to see and the hiking trail was quite muddy and the same path where the cars use so you really need to make way to let cars pass and some are close to the cliff. On the way back, some people even hitchhiked to leave. It’s a nice view during fall season but I think it is prettier in summer. We picked the same way to go back as the scenery is pretty much the same in fall.

Breathtaking trekking route surrounded by mountains, river, and grassland. You could spend all day here! The drive to get in here was very difficult, recommend to hire a local driver

Great place for walk with the family.

Wonderful valley. Most of tour operators will tell you it is impossible to walk there. But if you are used to hike, you can visit truso valley without problem, 10km to go and 10km back to the main road. Incredible views along the valley.

Very beautiful nature with many ruins of medieval fortress-vilages and mineral water springs. But the road is very bad, noone lives there except monks in Abano village and only half of the valley is opened for visitors. The second half is closed by border police
