Truth Coffee Roasting

I spent the morning of my birthday here, and what a special start to my birthday. My cousin that now resides in London took me to this place as this was his favourite place to be. It was my first time and I loved the atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was the bomb dot com🥰. It is quite dark inside but I managed to get a seat closer to the door for natural light. I loved how the menu came as a normal newspaper, funny and interesting at the same time. Definitely a place I would visit again and again.

It was my first time visiting this café and I had a wonderful experience! The staff kindly explained how to order the coffee and made me feel very welcome. The interior design is retro and cozy, with a chill atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends.

We had a fantastic breakfast here! Peggy provided amazing service! We were also able to grab a few bags of Black Honey coffee which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the flat white with Black Honey and Chaka shuka.

True Coffee Roasting is hands down the best coffee spot in Cape Town! The coffee is exceptiona, rich, perfectly roasted, and full of flavor. The food is just as impressive, fresh and beautifully prepared, making it the ideal place for breakfast, brunch, or just a quick stop to recharge. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with a cool local vibe that makes you want to linger. And a fun tip: don’t ask for sugar in your coffee unless you’re ready for a playful “beating.” This is a true coffee lover’s paradise and a must-visit whether you’re a local or just passing through Cape Town.

One of the best coffee shops/ restaurants in the world, has its own character , the decoration, staff outfits, must see to understand. Wide selection of coffee available & staff r ready to give advices. Delicious food & dessert selection . Would love to visit again. Recommended. Enjoy. NK

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2.5 stars) Visited Truth Coffee for a quick stop—ordered a coffee and hot chocolate which came to R108 (excluding tip). The vibe is definitely unique and it's cool that you can play board games while you’re there. However, the service was below average, especially considering the place wasn't busy. The coffee was just okay—at R60, it didn’t feel worth the price. It looked a lot better than it tasted. The hot chocolate was cold and watery at first, though they did replace it with a better one, but still nothing special. Would return more for the atmosphere than the drinks.

Great coffee! We got pour overs and they were delicious. The decor is lovely, and the service and staff are top tier. We didn’t get to try the food, but I’d definitely recommend the pour over. The only downside is that the place gets pretty crowded around noon.
