My favorite place in Selfoss! This is my second visit because of the great experience I had last time. We came for Saturday lunch, but they were only serving the brunch menu, which had limited options. However, the food was absolutely delicious. The combination of steak, eggs, sauces, and bread was well-balanced and perfectly cooked. The chips were also very tasty. Although the service was just okay, the food alone makes it worth a visit.

Very nice historic restaurant that is in the first house in Selfoss. There are traditional Icelandic dishes as well as some good vegan options. It is a good place if you are celebrating or looking for a fancy dinner restaurant.

Got to try the Whale starter as well as the cod and a couple cocktails. Everything was cooked to perfection and service was also excellent. Highly recommend if you're visiting or passing through Selfoss

Lovely small town restaurant providing delicious big town sophistication. The ambience is pleasant and family like - the restaurant feels like a large home with a country decor. We had a delightful lunch with whale meat appetizers - which were tender in a tasty sauce. Lunch featured a fried crispy chicken salad, tasty hamburger and beef tenderloin. The chicken pieces were nicely cooked and very crispy. Dessert had fermented blue berries with a tasty custard. The coconut and pineapple cake was well done, even a bit crunchy. Overall a delicious meal. Our guests were enchanted with the chicken salad’s dressing which admittedly was quite tasty as was the grilled sweet corn which fit the dish very well. Our waiter was pilot, patient and professional. Pro-tip - our food did take a while to prepare.

5-Star Experience! Summary: We had a Beef Toast, a Pancake with Strawberries, a capuccino and a hot chocolate. Everything was delicious. We spent 67 USD with the 10% tip. The Beef Toast was incredible: perfect presentation, intense flavor, ideal seasoning, and hot temperature. The Strawberry Pancake was also delicious, juicy, and well-presented. It comes with a chocolate ganache that's is also amazing. Additionally, the hot chocolate and cappuccino were very tasty. The service was attentive and efficient. We spent around $67 with a 10% tip. Well worth it! Highly recommended! 5 stars!"

I used to be skeptical of Google Maps reviews, which is why I rarely share my own. However, this place is truly exceptional! Every dish is delicious, perfectly crafted, and unique. From the whale and lobster soup to the cod fish, lamb, and salted caramel mousse – each surpassed our expectations. We're thrilled to have discovered this gem and believe it deserves a Michelin star. Highly recommended!

Charming restaurant with the special atmosphere of the separate rooms. Delicious food, beautiful plates, friendly service. Absolutely recommended for vegan guests as well , from appetizers to main courses to desserts! Thank you for the a beautiful experince!

To say this is one of the best meals I have had in my life is not hyperbole. Extraordinarily well prepared duck confit. And the salad dressing that went with the salad and duck confit .. words fail me . Exquisite. Subtle . And the right amount of zest. The orange and chocolate cake .. just wow! Are we allowed to marry a cake ? Just why not ? Anyhow highly recommend this innocuous looking restaurant in the parking lot of a grocery store . Once inside ambience is cosy and not pretentious.
