I sampled two Greek classics:
Μπουγιουρντί (Bougiourdi) – a baked blend of feta cheese, tomatoes, peppers, and possibly a hint of mustard, served in a small round metal dish. It came out warm and melting — a wonderful dish that, with a lighter touch on the oil, could have been perfect.
Φασόλια Γίγαντες (Fasolia Gigantes) – large white beans in a tomato and vegetable sauce, gently seasoned. A true Greek meze classic, comforting and flavorful in its simplicity.
I paired the meal with Kechrimpari Retsina wine. While fans of the style may find it a solid choice, it personally didn’t win me over.
I ended the meal with a complimentary dessert — pleasant but unidentifiable — and the waiter, unfortunately, couldn’t quite explain what it was. A pity, because curiosity was definitely part of the flavor.
I’ll definitely be back here a few more times. The potential is clear, and the dishes are genuinely intriguing.
