Tried Hirihiri Soup Curry near Sapporo Stn before coming here. Preferred that to this. But anyone in Niseko should definitely try this. Go for the original - level 4 if you can take spicy food. Veg or chicken are better than pork.

The soup curry was really good!! Best I have tried!! I got the coconut one at level 1. Felt maybe I could have ordered level 3. It's not spicy at all. Good for big groups but need to reserve in advance.

Ordered the chicken and vegetables but the star is the meatballs. Super good. You can add on more meatballs too. If you don't reserve you have to be expected to wait for 30 mins in a crowded packed room. My group reserved 3 months in advance. Soup curry was good get minimum level 8 if you like spicy

Decent soup curry in the area. With customizable toppings. Stirred fried lamb dish is pretty good. In terms of hotness, level 10 is pretty spicy already.

First time trying Soup Curry, a local specialty of Sapporo and Hokkaido. Unlike regular Japanese curry, rice is served separately and you scoop it with the spoon and dip it in the soup. The chicken soup curry is the main attraction here. The soup is a beautiful dark brown, flavors so savory and richly spiceful, and the chicken meat falls off the bone. The only thing is the line is quite brutal. As it is one of the few places around the Niseko area that has actual good food, all the skiers flock to this place in search of a warm soothing dinner. Be prepared to wait outside in the cold for up to an hour or more.

A quaint little place a little out of the way.......but WORTH every bit of the distance. This quite possibly was the very BEST meal we had while we stayed in Niseko! Soup curry was fresh, brimming with options galore that you could choose to customize your own. I picked the Japanese meatball soup curry and added lotus root, agemochi, melting cheese, sausage, and garlic chips. For a freezing cold night, there is nothing better and more fulfilling! We also tried the chicken hot pot and It was one of the freshest broths and pots exploding with flavor just like the soup curry. We also ordered sides, but I'd skip them, they are average, not worth the calories. Make sure to make reservations, they are always busy and you will wait a while if you don't have them.

Heard this place has a long line out the door if you don't get there before it opens. Since there's not a ton to do in this town, we headed out early and waited outside before they opened. Hubs either misread the hours or the hours in the tour books aren't accurate (which seems to be the case since this happened with other restaurants we tried), we were over an hour early. Needless to say, we were the first in line. About 30 minutes before they opened, more people started showing up to wait. I don't think I'm a big fan of soup curry because honestly, I wasn't really impressed with the flavor profile. I didn't know what the flavor profile was going to be as we came here on the recommendation of someone else. The soup curry has a lot of curry spices that I'm not a big fan of so I didn't really like it. My husband loved the food so it's more that this just wasn't my thing. I liked the giant chunky vegetables so that was a plus for me. The staff is super efficient at getting your order and bringing the food out and moving parties through their dining experience (not in a rushed manner). I personally wouldn't come again but I do recommend again since the spices they used weren't my thing. But I can see why others enjoy this place. It's great for cold nights after a long day on the mountain. Their soup curry is almost like home comfort food.

Maybe it's my 1st time but soup curry is the best. You can do zero spicy up to 20. Extra spicy cost more. I had beacon soup curry with beacon & zero spicy & it was fabulous. Others had up to 10. The answer is do it. Eat it. & Love it. Stop 23 on the shuttle buses.

Soup Curry is my favourite Japanese food and this is my favourite restaurant in Niseko. Soup Curry is a broth filled with curry spices and with a load of chunky vegetables and meat piled in. You get it with a plate of rice that you eat with the soup and is best eaten by dipping a spoonful of rice into the soup. You can choose the spice level up to 20 with up to 5 being included in the price. 5 is spicy enough so I wouldn't recommend getting any hotter until you have tried 5 first. A must try when in Hokkaido!

This place is incredible, truly a unique Hokkaido experience. I've never had soup curry before but certainly will make a point of having it again. Must try!
