This was one of the best locations for a hotel in Kyoto. Easy access to the local market and most shops were walking distance from us. Subway access was great too. Overall the hotel was clean, nice and had all amenities you need for your short stay. Staff was super kind too.

The staff were friendly and polite, though they spoke very little English, so we needed to use a translation app each time we asked a question. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, but the TV only had Japanese channels. We also didn’t have anywhere to hang clothes that we didn’t want to put in the dryer. There are a few washing machines available, which were easy to use. One downside was that, despite putting the sign up for our room to be cleaned, it wasn’t done that day, and we had to ask again the next day, which felt like a bit of a hassle. Our room view was just of a wall, but overall, it was a pleasant stay. And the location was perfect!

Very cool hotel in a perfect central location. Bautiful interior design, nice large clean rooms and a great bar serving delicious coffee. Staff are always present at reception and are very helpful with anything you may need. Best hotel I’ve stayed at in Japan.

Really nice stay, rooms were roomy and spacious. Great amenities and very kind staff. The ‘ladder’ up to the bunks is a bit precarious, could be dangerous if not handled with care.

Great location, very helpful staff, and a quick, easy check-in and check-out process. The rooms were very clean, though they showed some signs of wear — nothing major. For the price, absolutely fine! Would happily stay again.

Just first day of so many more here ,however, I can't say enough on how helpful the staff is. From selecting restaurants to supermarket, recommendations for anything else, I am so grateful to them. Rooms are so comfortable and clean. There is a nice kitchen which worked great for our family needs. Laundry works great. Thanks to the great people taking care of this place.

Can’t recommend this hotel enough. We extended by 2 nights because it was so perfect. We booked the moderate Japanese style room and it was so spacious. Beautiful big bathroom too. Such a great location, with the best restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. Incredible value for what you get. 100% our favourite hotel in Japan that we recommend to everyone.

Stayed 1 night and wish we could've stayed longer. The service and hospitality were top notch, the location was convenient for explorong Kyoto using trains/bus, and the breakfast/coffee bar was delicious! Well definitely be back. Thank you so much!
