Tsukiji Yaki Uo Ishikawa

Tasty fish & quality preparation. We had the 10,200 yen-menu and it is completely worth the price. Even the desserts were homemade and delicious! The staff who cooked the fish was kind and if you speak Japanese, it is nice to have a little chat with them. A reservation is necessary to have a course menu... and avoid the long waiting line!

We reserved 1,5000 jpy lunch course each for 4 people, was told the reservation is for 1.5 hours. When we arrived the server started serving dishes not even waiting for one of us in restroom :/. The server served each dish within 5 minutes and finished serving all dishes within 40 minutes, really in a hurry, felt like she wanted us to be fed right away and leave right away. We were not able to enjoy the meal at all. They might treat you better if you are Japanese, but if you are foreign travelers, don’t even bother to visit.

An unexpectedly great meal centred around fish, although it was mostly cooked or partially cooked. Quite a refreshing change as most people would be eating sushi or sashimi in Japan. The pictures are from the Yukke set costing 10200 yen per pax

The food is so good. The fish are fresh and staffs are nice. They can explain grilling step in English. This is one of the best restaurant during Tokyo trip. However, if you are not reserve need to be queue up around 1 hour and no staff at the line. A little bit confusing when arriving

Very good quality but portions are incredibly small for the price paid. We had the three colour Omakase set. Food was of the highest quality and service/atmosphere excellent. However there is not a lot of it and we had to drop by sushi zanmai as still hungry. Give it a miss. Lots of other options in Tokyo.

Very disappointed. Fish was not fresh and is heavily seasoned with soy sauce & garlic, I felt this shop is a scam for tourist (maybe they will treat you real fresh fish if you are Japanese). We booked a 10,500 yen course dinner, totally not worth, the course only offer you a few pieces of grilled tuna, sashimi, and a lot of rice. I got so thirsty from the seasoning after the meal. There is a staff to grill the fish, but the pace of the course is in a rush, it was done in half an hour. The food may look good on photo, but there are so many other better restaurant choices, don't go here to ruin your trip.

They open at 11am and we started queuing at 10.30. There’s nobody in the queue yet. But the staff told us to go away only because my daughter was eating her snack while waiting. He could’ve told us no eating in the area pls nicely. We came back in an hour and waiting in queue for a long time until we can go in. The food is okay, the grill fish is tasty. However this restaurant treated foreigners differently than local. I can’t help it but feel discriminated against for no other reason than my race. The service while we inside is rude and unwelcoming. This is very disappointing since their food is actually good. The bill for 3 of us is 12,000 yen. Not cheap but the service is cheap and discriminatory. Foreigners who come here should beware !

Out of this world! The course meal was fantastic and every dish was carefully prepared and cooked by the service crew~ amazing experience and the crew was nice to share how each dish is supposed to be eaten. A definite must visit if you are visiting tokyo!
