Yelp
A fun night at the Screening Room during the Tucson Film Festival. An amazing live band pre movie. It's a small and intimate theatre. Everyone was nice and accommodating.

Yelp
Could be better. No social media promotion or online presence. Could be more vibrant and community oriented. The beer they serve on tap is more expensive than the bar next door? I wish this place would get it together and be self reliant, rather than ignoring the public they should be serving and profiting off of. To make my point; this YELP page is "unclaimed by owner". What's up with that?

Yelp
For a short time in the 80's, this was a cool punk club called The DANGERZONE. I saw some great shows there including GBH, Crucifix (from SF), EFFIGIES, TSOL. The Screening Room is a small theater which shows special films. Hard to tell when they are open, as they don't open up much but you can find some good films here, although expensive. They need to get their act together instead of just showing one film every 3 months.

Yelp
Second time here. Nice venue. Both visits were for concerts. The size makes this an intimate venue. So this is an opportunity to see someone up and close. Very personal. Great sound opportunity. My first experience, was wonderful. Today the sound person did not do a good job. Such a shame as this was a great event for @TucsonJazzFest. The Screening Room does not come with upgrades. There is nothing fancy here. Very simple, you do step back in time, not like the updated Fox, but an old small theater. You can get snacks, beer, etc. Prices for other events are very affordable. So...a good place to go to. I should try to get here more often.

Yelp
When the screening room first re-opened, we saw The Drop, and second run of an R rated film that played in mainstream theaters. We were told that the screening room was going to start focusing on getting more mainstream titles. It has been more than 6 months since we have been back, mainly because there has not been a title that we want to see. The scheduling, location and pricing are great, but there has been no movies to get us to come back. We would be willing to go to more of the obscure offerings, if there were more of the mainstream ones.

Yelp
Went and saw Odyssey Story Tellers tonight at this great small theatre in downtown Tucson. I really like this venue for readings and movies, they have beer and wine and hard cider, also a little bit of food. There is not a bad seat in the house because it's small but this also means you should get there early to get a seat.

Yelp
This is now my favorite movie theater! Small quaint at just the right price! I haven't been to the movies in years, and this is my second time here this week! Love it!

Yelp
I really need to go here more often! I love that there is a movie theater downtown, especially one with really great prices. They show a good selection of very recent second run movies plus special screenings of cult classics, b movies, vintage noir, and documentaries. You can check their monthly calendar on their website to see what films are coming. It's not the biggest screen in town but the picture and sound quality are great. And they serve craft beer on tap and in the bottle, coffee, tea, and you can order slices of Empire Pizza as well as the usual popcorn/candy/snack options. It has a great low key, neighborhood feel and makes for an easy night out.

Yelp
Shnazzy place, great beer selection and lobby space, and a venue for live music and performances as well as movies.

Yelp
The screening room is a gem! With only one theater, local beers on tap and a small lobby to hang out in before the movie, it is a great place to catch current and older movies downtown. They even have $2 movie Tuesdays! I wish I had explored the Screening Room sooner!

Yelp
Local small screening room, small but powerful! Check out the Arizona international film festival in April, it's an amazing local event that they host!

Yelp
According to the website...THE SCREENING ROOM has closed indefinitely as of Sept 2017. Website down, phone's disconnected and a variety of already booked acts and festivals have found other venues and locations. Sad.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and allowed us in even after the movie had started. Theaters are clean and cool. I will definitely check them out for future events.

Yelp
Great little local theater downtown. $2 Tuesday movies and they serve (good) beer. Screen and sound better than expected. Seats are pretty old school but kinda makes it feel like a throwback to watching movies as a kid, but with a beer in your hand. Good find, will keep my eye on this place to see what they are showing.
