Guide to Visiting Saguaro National Park

This is a super fabulous campground. Large spacious sites with a variety of site options to choose from. The grounds were immaculate and office staff helpful going above and beyond. It does have resort feel in Tucson but not resort prices. Best value campground we have ever stayed at in our 20+ years of camping. Only drawback is location does seem to be in not so great part of town but entire grounds are fenced with block walls and security gates. We felt safe. There are large RV dealerships just outside property.

We have a very nice stay at the Tuscon KOA! We were lucky to be there in February when the weather was lovely. We had a great level site with fruit trees around. Easy walk to a beautiful pool. They had some great activities and train rides that the kids liked. The store is AMAZING. Shout to Bridget for being so friendly and awesome. She made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. Their New Mexican restaurant on site was VERY good! Was easy to get to Saguaro National Park from there, and also had decent grocery stores nearby. Great KOA!

Google
The staff is hardworking and polite. They keep all the common areas clean. They pick up your trash daily for you, they keep the entire area well maintained and since I was there during July and it was very hot during the day, yet they were out there with smiles on their faces. The manager is wonderful and settled a minor issue we had during our time there. And I would recommend going there, even for a staycation. Because it's a pretty cool place with great staff

It’s been a while since my wife and I have stayed at lazy days but as usual a very nice visit! Only one issue that made us a little uncomfortable was with Liza. I miss pronounced her name and she got a little upset and made it known that she didn’t like it! She really needs to work on her customer service but other than that, you have a very nice, well kept campground! See you all next time!

This was our first KOA. I really enjoyed the camp ground. Nice pools. They are pretty empty when they open at 0900 (wish they opened a little earlier in the hotter months). We stayed under the solar panels which was at least 10° cooler with that shade. Citrus trees throughout the park. Great facilities. Our 3 year enjoyed her first KOA.

Google
This KOA is absolutely beautiful. If you are in the area or just driving through, make sure you book a stay for at least one night or more. They have everything you can think of. The 2 pools are so nice and relaxing. Every campsite is perfect. The grounds immaculate. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry rooms are extremely clean. This is our 4th year here and we love it. The little library is an awesome book exchange and we loved trading books. "Leave one take one" They also have get amenities for the kids. Huge shout out to Cindy, one of the staff members who went above and beyond to make sure the bathroom was in pristine condition. Great job by all of the staff

Google
I’m staying at the KOA Tucson/Lazydays. I’m on my 3rd day of 5 at this resort. I received excellent service from the beginning with David from front desk reservations. He was kind and professional. He spent a lot of time with me, making sure my special needs were met. He found the perfect spot for me and my dog. The whole staff here excelled, always greeting you a smile and making you feel welcome. Steve from maintenance guided me to my spot. He was very patient and so nice to me as I was exhausted from the long drive. The resort is well managed, with many activities available, the grounds and facilities were well kept and clean. You must try the Mexican restaurant on the grounds it was delicious. Being a solo traveler I felt very safe here. I would highly recommend this KOA. I would like to thank all the staff here.

Google
This place is really cool. We need a place to stay near the mine where my husband will be working for a while because he isn't allowed to drive back and forth from our home in Marana. We found this place and it's a little expensive to stay for 3 weeks out of every month, but it has a lot to offer for amenities. I wish there was a cheaper month rate so we could leave our trailer there.

Yelp
This was just an overnight stop for us, but we would've been happy to spend a longer time here! What a gem! Friendly staff, large park, lots of trees, spacious gravel sites, very clean grounds and amenities, 2 pools, an onsite restaurant and a well stocked registration area. They have several upgrade options to some sites...a double deck patio, outdoor kitchen, fire place...choose the level you want! They also have sites that are covered, which is super deluxe. I did read a review that said the area was sketchy, but it felt very safe to us. I didn't see anything funky outside or inside the park. It did look like it's in an older section of town, but don't hesitate to stay here! We loved it.

Yelp
Wonderful campground with excellence with all amenities. Camped out under the solar array to help address the stifling August heat. Great pools and great location for all things Tucson.

Yelp
Shout out to Jeff and Haley for their extra special attention and care! This is such a lovely camp with citrus trees at nearly every site.

Yelp
y Days KOA Tucson has been a great stay for our family while my husband was in Tucson for work for a week. We were grateful to have this koa and not have to do an air bnb or hotel. There was several standout features that made it a highly recommended RV park. Here are some of the highlights: 1. BBQ Rush Restaurant: The park is home to the BBQ Rush restaurant, which serves delicious food. The menu offers a variety of options from bbq to INDIAN FOOD sayyy what???? I was pleasantly shocked to see Indian food on an RV park barbecue menu! and it was GOOD! the flavors are outstanding. Whether you're a meat lover or prefer vegetarian dishes, Indian, Mexican, or American food they have you covered! They also have great happy hour specials. they also deliver food to the pool and your campsite which is a wonderful feature! Mary was our server the whole time and she was the sweetest waitress you could ever ask for. She was definitely a highlight for us on our stay here. 2. Pool and Hot Tub: Lazy Days KOA Tucson features a nice pool and hot tub area. The pool is clean and well-maintained, providing a refreshing escape from the heat. The hot tub is perfect for relaxing and unwinding after a long day! Great waterfall feature and the restaurant delivers food and drinks to the pool as well as to your campsite. 3. Spacious and Well-Designed Sites: The park offers a variety of spacious and well-designed sites. There are plenty of options to choose from, and each site provides a comfortable and enjoyable camping experience a lot of the sites have their own dog gate area and dog park on the site. There are covered campsites and there are also cabins if you don't have a trailer. The park itself is large and beautifully landscaped, with lots of fruit trees. creating a serene and peaceful environment. 4. Activities for Kids: Families with kids will appreciate the abundance of activities available at Lazy Days KOA Tucson. From playgrounds to organized games and events, there is always something fun for the little ones to enjoy. The park staff goes above and beyond to ensure that children have a memorable and fun-filled stay. Every day there is a new activity, usually multiple from craft events to ice cream, socials and wine socials for the adults. 5. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Lazy Days KOA Tucson takes great pride in its cleanliness and maintenance. The staff keep the park in excellent condition. The facilities are very clean 6. Safety and Security: The park is gated, and access is limited to guests only, providing a sense of safety and security. The park staff is attentive and friendly, always available to assist with any concerns or questions. We will be back for work in the next couple weeks and definitely staying here again very nice RV park !

Yelp
This park gave us a lot to write about with several pros and also cons. Pros, clean park, with spacious spot if you pay for the larger spots, clean bathroom and shower, with many through the park. Many Activities throughout out the parks to keep kids busy, along with a Mexican restaurant and bar. The bar has beer and basic cocktail. I asked the bartender for an old fashioned and a Manhattan and she started at me blankly. The fruit trees throughout the park are great and provide great shade. You're also allowed to pick the fruit for free. The grapefruits were delicious. Many attractions close by. If you're into whiskey and pizza,Batch and Jamies are a must. Now the cons, Definitely not loctated in the best side of Tucson, several homeless encampments around. One gate has security in the evening, but the other gate has no security and is open all night and day, the bathrooms do not have codes. Too many long term stay with not so friendly people. It's pet friendly and we also own a dog, but too many dogs barking at all hours with them tied up outside. The speed limits with in the park are only a suggestion, when even the employees on golf carts are zooming around. Having an end premium lot we got to see a lot of it. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs, highway, railroad and air traffic noise especially in the early morning is definitely something to consider. So if you're a family, that can sleep through anything, this is the place for you to enjoy. If you're a retired couple who is use to more quiet this may be off putting. But overall it a solid 4 stars. They definitely try.

Yelp
This koa is nice. We stopped here on a trip east. They have it all. Pool hot tub putting green pickle ball etc. also a restaurant on site as well as fire pits and games. We got a pull through which was pretty level. The pads are rocks with concrete patio. Some are even covered if coming in summer. In my experience koa are a hit or miss. This one is a hit. Only thing that could have made it better is more grass for dogs but I get here not a good idea. Also concrete pads instead of rocks but other than that it's great.

Yelp
Here's a polished version of your KOA campground review: This was our very first KOA campground stay during a long adventure, and it was excellent from start to finish! The park was easy to navigate, and finding the registration office was a breeze. Cher, who assisted us at check-in, was absolutely fantastic--friendly, helpful, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was smooth. We got a spacious pull-thru site, and when we encountered some RV issues, Cher recommended a trusted repair professional who quickly resolved the problem. The park itself was super clean, and the customer service was outstanding. Although we only stayed for one night and didn't get to enjoy all the amenities, everything looked well-maintained and inviting. We loved our experience here and will definitely stay again if we're in the area. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Wow! This is not just camping, it's glamping!! Located within 20 minutes of downtown Tucson, saguaro national park, and a load of national parks and monuments, this is a great place to stop for R&R. This is not the type of camping I did as a kid. This campground includes a wonderful reception center with the restaurant and bar on site. Food can be ordered from the restaurant and it will be delivered to your site. Daily activities are available for folks staying here. While we were here, we participated in an ice cream, social, and looking forward to high stakes bingo and even the pancake breakfast that's held on Sunday mornings. A mini putt putt golf course is spread throughout the complex and there are two swimming pools and hot tubs available for visitors. The complex includes a state of the art fitness center, multiple laundry, facilities, showers, and a number of amenities I can't even recall at the moment! While a little pricier than a standard campground this is certainly a destination for a number of snowbirds. The complex is exceptionally secure and amazingly maintained. There are special programs for kids on the site as well. Pets are allowed to so be prepared for barking dogs occasionally throughout the campground. Throughout the day groundskeepers roam the area in golf carts ready to attend to your every need. Garbage is picked up from site, maintenance is available as needed, and are they are available to answer any questions you might have. If you forgot something, the folks at the front desk can help. Wood can be ordered and delivered to site. Propane refills are available on the property. RV supply stores are in abundance around the area. RV repairs will even come to your site if necessary. Each of the campsites is unique. There are a number of campsites that include sundecks, televisions, and fire pits. Others include fenced in pet areas, and there are even some that include outdoor kitchens and fireplaces. Fruit trees are planted throughout the complex, and guests are encouraged to come get fruit, picking equipment for the main building and help themselves to produce daily! All of the roads are well paved, which allows for running, and or walking within the security of the complex. Nearby bike trails allow those who want to wander further a nice and safe area to access Bicycle rentals, golf cart, rentals, and a number of other services are available from the Campground headquarters. It is a rather large campground with several hundred hundred campsites that accommodate a range from tents to high-end RV homes. Cabin rentals are also available on the property although they are limited. Remember that this is in an urban destination, so ambient noise from roads, trains, planes, etc. should be expected. This is an exceptionally popular destinations so reservations in advance are required and strongly encouraged. Most of the negative reviews I've seen regarding this location is that individuals wanting to extend their stay and could not which just goes to show how in demand this location is in you should plan accordingly.

Yelp
Used to love this place! The last 2 times I've been here I wasn't! In fact the last time I was here I decided I wasn't coming back. I had a 20 % coupon that they sent me, expiring Dec 31 of this year! They wouldn't honor it! They sent it to me! WTH! The last two stays I got terrible spots! The park was half open! Lisa the check in girl was totally not helpful and very grouchy! They need to take a lesson from Las Cruces KOA! They are the best!

Yelp
Lots to do here! Family and pet friendly. Great variety of site options. Price varies like all KOA and campgrounds.

Yelp
Spend two months there Feb/Mar. This is by far the most beautiful KOA we have stayed at (over 20 KOAs and counting). Sites are huge and the resort is very nice. Bike/running path is about half mile away and it's a 57 mile loop around the city. Tucson is a big enough city and the weather is nice in Feb/Mar. Multiple K9 Camps and walking all the lanes on the campground is about 3 miles or 5 KMs so no need to venture out the gate if you don't want to. The activities are endless and BBQ Rush restaurant is a nice break from cooking. Pools and hot tubs are great. There are Orange, Grapefruit and Lemon trees all over the park. We are already booked for Feb/Mar 2025.

Yelp
Easy checkin. Lots of amenities, including a Mexican food restaurant and dog wash station. The staff are all great, very friendly, and keep the campground clean. The campground was busy, but after the sun went down was quiet. Others staying there were also very friendly. Multiple designated places for dogs to run around off leash. A variety of camp sites available, including several with paw pens. Our campsite was gravel with a concrete pad that had a table and chairs. Bathroom and showers were clean. Coin operated laundromat is simple and worked great. We felt safe there, it is a gated park so it's only registered campers. Check in was simple and quickly completed. Will stay there again.

Beverly D.

Yelp
They implemented a new policy that requires you to book for 2 months if you want to be there for the month the gem and mineral show is going on in Jan/Feb. they also require you pay for a security check be done . We have stayed there for years but no more.

Christine R.

Yelp
Nice big park with large rv spaces. They have spaces especially for dog people that have private fenced grass yards. Also have big spots with BBQ area. Nicely done. Two pools too. The Mexican restaurant was very good.

Yelp
My husband and I don't even know where to start...we arrived and there was karaoke in the restaurant. We were given a schedule of activities! We were only staying the one night, so we didn't even get a chance to go in the heated pool with the mountains in the background and a waterfall off to the side. The sites are solar powered! Really nice campground. We needed to shower to rush to a dinner reservation, so we used theirs as we didn't have time to heat our water. Gorgeous slate flooring and walls, amazing water pressure, and a shelf that is actually big enough for your toiletries. About a dozen washers and a dozen dryers. We did 3 loads! In between the laundry and bathrooms is a really nice fitness center. When we checked out we asked where the closest place to get propane is...apparently it is onsite! Best KOA ever! Truly a resort.

Yelp
One of the best KOAs we've visited in terms of features & Rv sites. Lots of fruit trees scattered between the spacious sites. Great location to access both east & west Saguaro National Park. 2mi to Costco & Starbucks. On-site BBQ Rush restaurant & bar. Only complaints are road noise, nearby airport noise, & the bathroom & showers could use some renovation (coming in summer 2023).

Yelp
Pretty good campground have stayed here three times now. First two times were great 5 stars all around. The last time was 4 stars because the spot they gave me was ghetto and the power was wonky, water connection leaked and so did the sewer connection.... 8/10

Yelp
Spent the weekend here with my two kids. We came here for the tour de Tucson race. The park is very clean and well laid out. We got a pull-through spot for $65 a night. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
Spent two evenings at this KOA campground in Tucson, Arizona. The RV campsites were pretty spacious for the most part. It seemed that many of the sites also had a fruit tree which was really cool to see. Our site even had a two story patio. We did not spend too much time outside because the temperature was soaring above 100 degrees!! No shade on the second floor. The property looks terrific for the most part. Nice playground for the kids. Fitness center had a quite bit of cardio equipment that appeared to be in good shape. The pool areas were well kept. They have an onsite bbq restaurant which we were unable to try, but still nice to have on the property. My only complaint would be that the Men's restroom was not well maintained. Both days, the restrooms were not swept up, stocked, or cleaned. Quite disappointing especially considering that everything else on the property was looking great. Would I stay here again? Yeah, if the price is reasonable.

Yelp
Driving cross country and just needed a safe place to stay with easy on/off. This was a great choice!! Pulled in just before 5pm and had booked a spot with the private fenced dog pen. I wish more RV parks offered this option - it was awesome! Our dog is older, doesn't listen and it's constantly a struggle setting up camp while working around the dog. Here - just put the dog into the pen, let him sniff up all those smells and have some freedom while doing what we needed to do. Oh - and to have the dog on grass instead of dirt and even have a tree - winning! They close a gate at night for added security but you can always call their night guard if you're arriving late. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick overnight in the Tucson area.

Yelp
This may look on the surface like a nice park overall, but our experience was lacking, especially for the exorbitant price. I traveled through with my parents in their RV, and we reserved a site with a private fenced dog area. While it was an extra amenity, it cost almost $100, which is twice what we've paid at other parks along our journeys. What was truly disappointing, though, was how filthy the dog run was. The grass was overgrown, and it was full of landmines of dog waste. How full? Try SIX bags that I picked up in the pen alone, and I didn't even get all of it. It was the grossest, most unsanitary place we've put our dogs, and we were worried for their health. While there was metal furniture at the site, one chair was broken and almost collapsed, and we could not enjoy our time outside because of the massive amount of flies, spiders, and mosquitoes at the site. We've all camped a lot, and none of us had ever seen so many bugs in one place, especially the flies. Maybe it was due to the filthy dog run. The real kicker, though, came at 7:15 in the morning when we got to listen to someone on the other side of the fence fire a semi-automatic rifle repeatedly. The neighborhood surrounding the park is pretty rough, but that is a new level of too much.

Gayle B.

Yelp
When we booked our reservation, I made sure to get a paw pen, which is a wrought iron fenced pen with grass for your dog. When I put my little Papillon send he ran right through the bars, so I was never able to use it. Then I noticed that about a third of their pens had been retrofit with wire to fix this. There is no information about this on the website, and if you call the office and try to make the reservation with a pen that will work for a small dog, they have no information. But they are more than happy to charge you for a pen that can't work for you. There is no excuse for this. Clearly, they are aware of the problem because they have fixed some of the pins and not information. Should be on the website and available when you talk to a representative.

Niles S.

Yelp
Ok for the priced. Easy pull throughs but zero shade. Do NOT use the laundry. You have to buy a card and load it. You can only load it with $5. I put my money in and did NOT get a card. I called the number for customer service and they said they could mail me a refund. Great, I am out traveling, not anywhere near my mail delivery and they want to send me a refund. I hung up and went to a REAL laundromat. The only other thing I don't get is the main road to come into the property has no sidewalk. I would walk my dogs every morning out of the park and had to walk on the street. It is a very wide road, and they could easily put in a sidewalk. The staff is very pleasant.

Yelp
We liked this park. We stayed there a couple of times. We have a big rig and do reviews from our perspective. We have a 44' 5th wheel. Check out our campground review on YouTube - https://youtu.be/ulZuayrSR7k

Yelp
Great service for last minute booking. Bathrooms very clean. Older (if you were a kid in the 80s, think what a bathroom at the best sleep away camp you went to looks like) but plenty of hot water and locking exterior exit doors for added security. Clearly lots of campers there for longer stays. They have a nice office setup with coffee, a schedule of card games and social stuff for campers, and some vending machines. Extremely easy to use for first time camper van folks like us!

Yelp
my only complaint- my wife and I got in the jacuzzi at 8 pm last night, and then 10 people with complete face tattoos who openly shared how they are now living in half way house joined in jacuzzi. it was extremely intimidating and the poor lighting, no security cameras we definitely felt uncomfortable, unsafe. one explained how he runs the halfway house and he even use to work at the restaurant inside this rv park. I tried speaking to management who honestly just didn't care.
google avatar

Kristin N.

Yelp
Our first time here and we had a blast! Clean facilities, cute little areas for kids and dogs. Made for a nice weekend away. (Restaurant was less than desirable BUT that's not a deal breaker for us)

Nikki T.

Yelp
I have stayed here a few times. This time, the place didn't seem well kept. Employees were not as friendly. The facilities were dirty. The laundry room smelled like sewage and was dirty. The showers had the same hairs on the walls the whole week I was there. This used to be a rv resort now it just a rv park. If it's just place to use your rv with hookups, it would be fine. Unfortunately we needed the showers do to our water heater having problems in the middle of our trip.

Yelp
This stay went from a 5 to 1. We needed to stay an additional 2 nights from our original reservation. We were grateful they were able to accommodate us from our luxury site to a simple back-in site for the extra 2 nights. Our rig is 42 ft with 5 opposing slides - which they have on our reservation. We attempted to get our future site number on Thursday but were told to check in again on Friday (the day we had to move), we had to pay a 1 night deposit on Tuesday for our unknown site. On friday (moving day) we checked in again and were told they still didn't know where we were going to go, we were told to wait for a call. We got the call at 11:15 they had finally "found" us a site. The site we were given after spending nearly $600 for 5 nights is NOT slide friendly #1623. Had we known on Tuesday that this was our site when we originally asked we would have made reservations elsewhere. That said - having now been told that this was their last available site we worked to jockey our rig around the power pole connection (30 minutes later) so we could open our slides (picture attached). The "long-term" camper next to our site with a deflated Santa and Snowman xmas decoration and in general a ghetto looking site, began to smoke pot that lasted during our set up process. When I shared this with the front desk I was reassured that it was "medical marijuana" - like that makes it better for us???? When I asked about the ghetto site and why KOA was allowing this to occur in this upscale resort, I was told "we are aware of that site". TOTALLY disappointed and unacceptable. This isn't our first visit to this Resort - but this site is intended for a rig without slides. The site is plenty long but backing up to avoid the power pole would not allow us to open the slide on the other side due to a huge citrus tree. Don't pay until you know your site number! KOA feel free to contact me.

Yelp
TENT CAMPING REVIEW: There are not enough tent camping reviews so I'm adding mine. Let's just say that I came at a good time (10-4-2019). It was very empty and peaceful. I have been to KOAs before but this one really should rename themselves - with just 4 camp sites, they are an RV resort, plain and simple. The camp sites are very close to bathrooms, a pool/hot tub and a laundry room and each site has a shaded enclosure, running water, a tent pad, a fire pit, a picnic table, an electrical outlet, and a lock box. That being said, here are some things that you need to know if you will be tent camping: 1. THERE ARE NO GRILLS. If you wish to grill, you will have to bring your own or buy one from them. The fire pits are not for cooking, which I found out the hard way. Luckily, they let me use an old fire pit for cooking or else I would have been hungry (I budgeted for the restaurant on only one of my nights). 2. You CANNOT stake your tent. The pad is not the ground. Make sure you find another way to anchor it down in case of wind. 3. The shaded enclosure WILL NOT protect you if it rains so plan accordingly. 4. Noise. I'm from Tucson. This getaway was for my birthday so I could enjoy the amenities. However, this KOA is in a bad part of town. So, all night I heard honking, people shouting, dogs barking, tires screeching, engines revving, etc. BRING EAR PLUGS if you actually want to sleep in a tent. 5. The free WiFi is BASIC ONLY and cuts out often. If you want to do anything more than check your email, you have to pay for higher speed. However, after signing up for the basic and realizing that I wanted more speed, I could not find a way to upgrade. I searched all the literature that they gave me and online but with no luck. Take my advice, decide before you sign up if you want to stream or not. That's your only chance. 6. Bring a lock for the lock box. There are no locks to rent or borrow that I found. So, there you have it. A tent camping review of the Tucson KOA before the influx of RVs. Overall, it was nice but I really wish I'd known a few things before booking, especially about grilling. Their website does not say much about tenting and it would have made a difference in planning for me had I had a review like this.

Yelp
Second time using this particular KOA, booked right through the app. Check in was a breeze. Campground is laid out logically. Both times I chose a full size pull-through, just to keep things simple as the first time I knew I'd be arriving late, and as a pro tip for ya, the town of Tucson has a "light ordinance" so at night, it is DARK DARK. So if you plan on showing up at night, better have a flashlight to guide ya back because I'm telling you it is DARK. The price is about $85 a night for the full-hookups, 30/50 amp service, cable tv (didn't use) and wifi (didn't use) The thing I appreciated about this particular KOA was the wide roads. Real logical layout. I also LOVED the fact that almost all the sites have fruit trees. Our one trip we had a lemon tree and this trip we had a orange tree. Fun! I did use the shower facilities, and they were clean every time I used them. Water pressure was great. There is the typical sundries and gift shop at check-in. All staff were welcoming and pleasant. There's a dog walk area. This particular campground clientele both time was "Snow Birds." Quiet, chill, happy older folks. The campground is also very quiet at night. Not much highway noise. Easy in and out. I didn't do too much exploring on site, but I know there is lots there, like a heated pool, laundry facility, game room, gym, dog area, fire pit areas. Extremely clean. Easy to navigate. Wide paths. Another stellar KOA! Would return, would recommend !

Yelp
It's a really nice resort campground. The WiFi is okay right now for checking mail, using Yelp. The WiFi seemed better last fall. Fruit trees are nice. Sites are nice and level. Staff was friendly. The BBQ restaurant has great food. I stored my trailer here last year but they are full this year. They told me it was due to an expansion project.

Yelp
Way too many amenities to list and fun for the whole family including the fur babies. We reserved a spot that had a private dog park for our traveling 100 lbs puppies. Very clean and inexpensive. Will definitely stay here again

Yelp
Spent the weekend. Everything was clean and very well kept. The one big knock is advertising they have wi-fi and they don't have squat . Second KOA in a row that this has happen. Just be honest, is that so much to ask.

Yelp
What a wonderful facility! It is perfectly run, perfectly maintained, and so very dog friendly! There are many different options to choose from for your RV. This trip, we opted for the pull throughs which are underneath a protective array of solar panels. What a fantastic idea, and what a great way to minimize exposure to the intense sun. There were other RV sites that had covered patios, RV sites with raised platforms with sail shades, RV sites with the dog runs, RV sites with playground equipment for children, plain back-in RV sites and lastly cabins. I even saw a tent camping site that had a nice gazebo with a picnic table and kind of an outdoor kitchen set up. It was perfect in every way, and we will be back.

Yelp
RV Review: We only stayed for one night, but it was a very nice place to stay. We picked a grass pull through spot. The facilities were nice and there seemed to be a lot to do - although we didn't take advantage of the amenities. I liked that there was a restaurant and store on site in case you needed anything though. I agree with the other posts comments about the internet being bad. However, one major plus was that they had curbside trash pickup.

Yelp
The next best investment KOA could make for their property is adequate WiFi. They need to dump this current provider (TengoInternet) and make a major upgrade. I tried to log in on my work computer and kept getting a pop up that it was not a secure network. I couldn't actually access anything work related while on their provider. Didn't really make a big fuss over that because my employer has some pretty strict security settings for good reason. BUT, I've been trying to use my personal laptop for basic things like email and it is dragging. It got to the point that I simply gave up. Everything else about this location is great! On-site restaurant has some really good food options. Our daughter loves the playground/pool area. Plenty of regularly patrolling security.

Yelp
Clean, well maintained. Nice proximity to the Air and Space Museum but you are surrounded by the hood. They have very nice walls and gated entry and I always felt safe. Nice showers , laundry and pool/hot tub. Restaurant was really good. Service was very slow but otherwise great food and friendly staff. - Internet - Location The internet. It's TERRIBLE. There is NO wifi. It doesn't work. This is my second time visiting and on both accounts I had to leave to work because WiFi wouldn't connect and or show up. After multiple attempts I went to the counter and explained the issue. I was told I could work in the office , or to contact the provider Togonet I believe? Well rather than drag all my equipment to the office I called Togonet. Nobody answered so I left a message. I got a return call 2 days later! I was long gone. They need to find a new provider. It's a joke. If you can do without connection this is otherwise a great spot!

Yelp
Working as a full-time nurse at University of Arizona Cancer Center. I am also a nursing professor. I was so excited to be in Tucson until the owner of this campground ruined my career and caused me unwanted emotional distress. The front office sent out a general population text the first of August stating that if you didn't have a reservation starting February that there are none available. That wasn't good for me. I went to the office to extend my reservation and they said I would have to leave for 2.5 weeks somewhere else and then I could come back. Well...that is not convenient. And there are no other RV spots that have anything available. So I have pets. So what to do with them? This is not cool. Then they have a main water break. They failed to flush the line and caused my tank less water heater to fail. Well my warranty requires a certified Forest River tech to do the service. So I would have to uproot the RV and take it to Camping World for repair, get a hotel and take of from work because you are not allowed to leave your pet alone nor would I because I care for him too much! So, I have been trying to check for cancelations and none have come about. Then I go online this week and there are 5 available. So I'm wondering what the hell is going on? So I finally catch the owner and talk with him. That did not go well. He was such a jerk to me and was not interested in my problem of not having a reservation through the winter. Come to find out there is a big gem show every year. The KOA has standing reservations a year in advance. So what does this guy do...kick everyone out and jack up the prices from $659 to $1400. Price gouging every person who stays. He was so extremely rude to me and even challenged me by postering himself in a position of the middle of the entrance to the lobby which would force me to brush by him. I told him to move his butt over that I'm leaving. I told him that I called numerous times to get help with this. The front counter workers said they would get Betsy to call me back. She never did and I told the owner that. Then he said why did I want to contact her that "she is ONLY the bookeeper". Come to find out she is his wife. Are you kidding me that he thinks about your own wife like that? Such a bad experience. So nurses don't go here. And the rest of you...all he cares about is your money....not you as a person. Had to quit my full-time job because I have no where else to go. That's how he treats nurses!!!!!! So the conversation turned extremely bad and then he told me that the rest of my reservation is being canceled and I have to leave by October 3rd. Such a mean man. He would not have treated a man like that. If my dad would have been standing there and hearing the disrespectful way that he was talking to me ...he probably would have punched him out. Also I ride a motorcycle and there is a huge pot hole at the entrance that is dangerous. I have called 2 times for them to fix it. It's 8 inches deep AFTER he supposedly fixed it.

Yelp
This is our third time staying at this KOA. It is a busy KOA with lots of amenities. Unfortunately, the facility is not being kept up. Upon arrival, the back of our site had a lot of trash. The bathrooms and showers were dirty and not kept up. With the number of employees visible, there is really no excuse. There is a sign in one of the restrooms that says it is going to be remodeled in 2023 but still no excuse for its current condition. The pool by the restaurant has a nice covered area but that area was dirty and had an abundance of flies.

Yelp
this place isn't the best, all the showers and bathrooms are disgusting, staff was incredibly rude throughout our stay, cops were called on a couple arguing because the staff lied, i'd rather stay at motel 6 then come back not to mention the people who stay here are just rude and nosey

Yelp
These people here are great. Great service and clean camp. They went all out to accommodate me and were all very friendly. Good place. The only reason I Gave them four stars is that their WiFi is not good. One of those who have minimal service (256K) and is highly crowded. They also have faster service but you will have to pay extra for it. So I really do not like that. Note: Verizon 5G is ok but their towers in this area are also highly crowded so even that is not vary good for streaming and watching over 5G. They really need to update the WiFi and should have techs who can resolve the WiFi issues at NO EXTRA COST TO THEIR CUSTOMERS. Other than that, it's a well run wonderful RV Park. I will try again in the future.

Yelp
This was our second time camping at Lazy Days. Once again we had a good experience. The park is very clean and the staff regularly patrols, garbage and recycling sat at the curb is picked up anytime of the day. I was pleased that I didn't have to haul bags to a dumpster. The only part of our stay was where our lot was located. We were camping with two other couples. When we made our reservation each of us requested to be near each other. The other two couples were on the same street and we were on the other side of the park, sandwich in-between Class A rv's. When a Class A runs their heater the sound is very loud, and it was difficult to sleep. There were empty sites on the same street that our friends were camping. I was in the registration office when a man was checking to see if there were lots available. The clerk told the man that were a lots available, she gave the man a park map and he selected a lot. I wish that the same consideration was given afforded us.

Yelp
We had a lot of fun during our stay! We came for the Tour de Tucson cycling event and stayed through Thanksgiving. We enjoyed the nature pond (feeding the fish was a highlight for my toddler son!), the playground, the pickle ball court, the pool and spa. We loved the events, like the ice cream social, thanksgiving craft, and thanksgiving potluck. We loved the hedge on our site for privacy, as well as the shade the fruit tree provided. And the staff was so friendly!

Yelp
Very clean and well kept property. We got there hours after close and they were still able to accommodate us. The staff is friendly and helpful. The showers and bathrooms are clean. There is a pool, park, mini golf, pond and more. Restaurants on site that can deliver right to your camper. Really enjoyed our stay

Yelp
Nice, clean park with amenities as advertised. We were only there for an overnight so we didn't take advantage... Not much shade in most regular spots and the shrubs between spots could use some trimming. Knew where I was headed spot wise but most of the numbers in our row were hard to read due to foliage. Easy in and out, level spot, check-in was super quick. We'll use it as a stopover in the Tucson area for future trips.

Yelp
I guess we are in the minority but we were disappointed. Our fruit tree space was roomy but the small orange tree towards the back did not make up for the cinder block wall with barbed wire topped with concertina wire behind us. There was a very rundown motel on the other side. The pictures make it look far less crowded than it is. The 20 tv channels listed on their map do not exist. We barely got five and reception was extremely fuzzy. WiFi was useless. This is a very big lot. We would not call it a "resort". Three stars for cleanliness and spaces a decent number of feet apart.
