I stayed here as a solo traveler with a small group tour. Our small group was housed in a block of rooms facing the cobblestone access street. There are no elevators and the exterior stairs to my second floor room were steep. The assigned rooms were very rustic and charming but a bit dark. My assigned room was equipped with a large bed, a mobile plug in heater unit, two bedside tables, a table and two chairs and a wardrobe. The bedcover was rough, natural and wooly in texture and contributed to the quaint, rustic feel of the room. The thick comforter was welcome during the cool night. There were only a few electrical outlets in the room. A teapot, tea/instant coffee and cups were thoughtful touches. The lighting in the bathroom was a bit dark and there was a little vertical shelf next to the sink to store toiletries. The WiFi signal was good. The hotel restaurant was located in a separate building and served excellent food in a homey atmosphere. The breakfast spread was excellent with multiple fresh options. The restaurant staff was helpful and friendly. Other rooms depicted on the hotel’s|website appeared to be more updated and modern.
