Morning bun Ricotta jam toast

Google
Was very excited to try the infamous Tulie and was thoroughly disappointed. The hot chocolate was served lukewarm and wasn’t anything special (I’d say it was on-par with Swiss Miss). I had higher hopes after seeing the hot cocoa specifically recommended by The Female Foodie. Although the molasses spice cake had a nice subtle hint of spice, I prefer a spice cake to pack more of a punch. The cake also seemed more oily than maybe is normal? It left a film on my lips and fingers. The service was fantastic and the place is darling, but not sure if spend money here again.

A $15 sandwich took 20 minutes, has 2 slices of cafeteria lunch meat, a chunk of tomato, a sprinkle of greens, and more mayo than all of them combined. (The photo is honest, nothing removed.)

Google
Perfect place for a coffee date or to relax and read a book. It is such a cute bakery and everything is amazing. The coffee is delicious. I always get the olive oil cake. It is the best thing I have ever eaten. I don’t know what they put in the frosting but it is amazing.

Google
Tulie Bakery is superb. My wife and I were driving around salt lake looking for the best places to find great laminated dough, espresso, etc. Tulie Bakery came highly recommended and I can see why. It was a very clean establishment, the workers were very friendly, and the food/drink items were all made to perfection. If you are looking for a place where you can sit and enjoy pasties that are out of this world. This is your place!

Google
Absolutely love this place!!! Its quickly become a favorite of mine for breakfast or lunch. 5/5 recommend the food and 6/5 recommend the olive oil cake. Its so moist and the brown butter icing is to die for. They absolutely kill a London Fog!!! Highly recommend. Parking can sometimes be a pain but its not the end of the world. A lot of delicious food is right around this cafe too.

Google
This was my first time in person at this location (any location actually). I'm usually against getting any avocado toast when I'm out, but this came highly recommended. It came with avocado, shaved parm, and a jammy egg. It was phenomenal and i would definitely get it again. The iced dirty chai was also delicious and not overly sweet. I topped off my bill with a morning bun for later. It paired perfectly with early grey tea at home. I will say it was a bit expensive to be an everyday thing (~$35), but I'll definitely keep it in rotation.

Google
What an absolutely lovely bakery. The coffee was so delicious. I got the bacon quiche and it was great. Staff was nice, fun place to sit down and catch up woth a friend.

Google
It feels like a manager needs to come in and shape up the service and the quality at this place. The building is beautiful and the pastries are fairly delicious, but the staff was fairly rude and sloppy and we had to send the French toast because it literally had raw eggs still running down the side of it. Lots of potential here but management needs to step in and tighten up the ship.

Yelp
Great place for coffee & pastries and the BEST Cakes in the City .. My favorite item .. the Almond croissant

Yelp
Great place! They have a variety of options from cakes, pastries, loaf cakes, and more! It's was slightly busy in there, but the service is quick. We got a few items. flourless chocolate cake which was rich and smooth. The pumpkin loaf cake had a nice sugary outside with a nice pumpkin spice flavor. Lastly, the palmier was crunchy with a delicious coating of sugar. I can't wait to go back and try a few more things. Something to note, the store is a little small so it gets crowded and loud pretty quickly. Parking is easy and there's usually a bunch of street parking in front of the store.

Yelp
I think this is a very cute spot and really wanted to love it but was underwhelmed and felt everything was overpriced. We went in on a Sunday afternoon with hopes of getting just a slice of cake but unfortunately they don't allow a slice of every cake and only have a select cake per day. We ended up caving and purchasing a 6" German chocolate cake for... $22. We maybe got 6 slices out of it and while it was really good it just seems a bit much. I went bake the next day hoping to get a cinnamon roll or a sticky bun but by 10am they are sold out of practically everything. The sticky bun was stale and not fluffy at all. Very syrupy and just underwhelming. I will praise them for their coffee and tea selection alongside pricing for a beverage is very reasonable and much better quality than a chain cafe. Overall I don't think we'd return unless getting a cake for a very very small occasion.

Yelp
Very cute bakery in a cute location. I have never tried any food items but they look good. I have had a few matcha lattes and a few regular lattes and they must put hardly any espresso shots/matcha in the drinks because they always looks so white (whether is espresso or matcha), I feel like I'm just drinking very lightly flavored milk. So for that reason, I won't be back.

Yelp
Saturdays are made complete with Tulie Bakery. I've been a regular here for a couple years now, consistently craving the Garlic Onion Chèvre toast. Tulie uses bread from Table X (best bread in the world) and everything I've tried on their menu exceeds my expectations. If I'm craving something sweeter, I go for the ricotta and jam toast. Make sure you swing by earlier in the day to get your hands on their pastries and cake which runs out QUICKLY. Their espresso is rich and the baristas are lovely people to chat with. It's always clean inside and makes for a great WFH spot!

Yelp
Yikes.. rude employee made a pretty bad matcha. Ran out of ice too haha -- that didn't matter as much but honestly wouldn't come back.

Taylor J.

Yelp
The service was very welcoming and laid back. Order came out reasonably fast and the selection was surprisingly pleasant and diverse. The quality of each item was excellent. Before leaving I recommend their olive oil cake by the slice. This was the best slice of cake my taste buds have ever experienced; coming from a person who doesn't like store bought cake. The owner was kind and thoughtful when describing the cake to me and showed just how much passionate is behind their shop . Sandwiches surprised me as well with hearty portions and fresh and flavorful ingredients. Well done. I will be expecting these cakes for every birthday from here on out my partner. I'd show a picture of the cake but I ate it all :)

Yelp
Such a cute local bakery that has a wide variety of shortbread cookies, teacakes/cakes, granola made in house on sale. My soy latte was perfectly prepared and the toast with avocado and soft boiled egg goes over and beyond expectations. The employees behind the bar were super friendly as well.

Yelp
Love local neighborhood bakery that has great sweets and drinks and offers a cozy spot for a nice afternoon break. Stilled in on a Saturday afternoon and most of the desserts had been swooped up but managed to get 2 incredible key lime pies and some breakfast rolls to heat up the next day. The tea selection was also delightful. I've had the olive oil cake from here and it's mind blowing, I've honestly never had such a delicious olive oil cake. Hoping to try even more desserts since what I've already had has delighted the senses. Staff was also super helpful and wrapped and bagged everything for me so that I could carry things out with my one arm while my dominant side is in a sling. Thanks staffers

Yelp
Love every thing tulie makes. Bouchon, quiche, etc. great intimate location.give it a try.

Yelp
I was on this side of the city, and I'm grateful to have found delicious coffee, and the pastries are also great.
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
I want to be completely honest here. I am a bad millennial. Maybe it's trauma from being told that avocado toast was the reason I couldn't find affordable housing, but I will usually buy a bag of avocados at the grocery store for a few dollars and make my own, hoping this trade off will lead me down the illustrious path to home ownership... (spoiler alert: you know it hasn't) But let's talk about the food anyway.. I was out. I was hungry. I saw someone else order this $7.50 toast and the rest is history. I still won't be a regular consumer of avo toast at other places but this particular one, this one is worth it
google avatar

Yelp
Four stars because I like the overall vibe and energy of the place. I'm a chocolate chip cookie addict so I came here just to try theirs, since I heard great things about it. If I were to rate this place based off of the cookie alone then it'd be 2 stars or 3 if I were being generous. I'm not sure if it's by design or just how the batch of cookies were that I saw but they were very thin, the thinness made them crisp and dry throughout the entirety of the cookie. Because the cookie was so dry and crisp, it just really wasn't enjoyable.

Yelp
I love this place! They have the best cake I've ever tasted, the olive oil cake with browned butter butter cream. It's rich and moist with a hint of orange. I'm not a cake person but this cake is the best! They sell their cake by the slice or you can buy a 6 or 9 inch whole cake. There are many delicious pastries like the sticky bun or cinnamon roll. Tulie has sandwiches fur lunch that I've heard are good but I've never tried them yet. The restaurant is tucked into the 15th and 15th neighbor which has a small town type feel. The bakery dues have tables and chairs both inside and outside. It's clean and inviting and always busy when I go. The service is fast and friendly as well. I live close so I walk, parking can be tricky. I usually will park on a nearby side street when I drive.

Yelp
Really great bakery, especially for cakes. Toast menu is great for breakfast also! Very cute inside but can get busy
google avatar

Yelp
One of the best spots in SLC. All pastries are wonderful. The service is quick, but the line can be pretty long. The vegan options are amazing.

Laura W.

Yelp
Bread items were like biting into a brick. Hot chocolate was lukewarm with chocolate clumped at bottom. Soup was lukewarm and lumpy. They have those thin metal chairs that cut into your hips (I'm an average size 12). Table was extremely wobbly. Counter person used female endearments (patronizing). They suggest tips on par with a waitress when you pay, but then tell you in a snooty voice to bus your own table when you ask. Dishes go into containers that are at floor level and beneath a counter, so we had to squat down and fold practically in half over and over. Not sure how anyone with mobility issues would accomplish it. Overpriced for the quality provided. Finally, if you are a PoC, there is that negative sixth sense you sometimes get? It's here in spades. Do not recommend. This might be my first negative review ever.

Yelp
The tea and coffee are just ok but the food (pastries, cakes, toasts, granola) are so so good. You can call ahead if you are looking for something specific cuz they sell out fast (especially on weekends). The staff can usually help you check and see which location has what. I love dining in and taking in the nice vibes. We are so lucky to have Tulie in the neighborhood!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
Delicious brunch treat spot with friends! We couldn't decide what to order so essentially ordered the full menu and not a single thing was disappointing! Also delicious lattes!
google avatar

Rodger D.

Yelp
Service was great but the extremely overpriced cinnamon roll was completely raw in the middle.

Kyra L.

Yelp
The best olive oil cake I have ever had. Pastries are bomb and the service was great.
google avatar

Danna A.

Yelp
Omg y'all's have to come here the treats are like the best in the whole salt lake.the service is very great the people are very friendly and helpful The ambiance is very calm and very calm.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite bakery in Salt Lake. From the cardamom shortbread to the olive oil cake to the grilled cheese and fresh tomato basil bisque. Ugh! I can't pause enough the quality and flavors of the goodies here. Early morning coffee is great too!

Austin G.

Yelp
Place is super chill and the staff very friendly. The pastries and cookies are delicious. I got the Tiramisu and the matcha late. Was delicious. Their coffee cakes looked amazing. And they have granolas etc

Greg W.

Yelp
Baked goods are among the best in SLC. Coffee is ok but baristas are rushed as this place is chronically understaffed.

Annie K.

Yelp
Tulie bakery is incredible! The croissants are very flakey and buttery, and the morning bun is sticky and cinnamon-y but not overly sweet. Coffee is delicious too. Every item I've had there has been fantastic. The service is fairly prompt, however they can be a little slower when it becomes busy (usually weekend mornings are the busiest!) There is no WiFi so this isn't a great spot for studying or working, but it is perfect for a coffee shop date or get together with friends. It also has an outdoor space for warm weather!
google avatar

Janet W.

Yelp
Food and service is always stellar. Great selection and good coffee options too. Big fan!
google avatar

Missi K.

Yelp
I am such a bakery snob... but this perfect bakery exceeds even my expectations! In town for the weekend I ate here twice and ordered cakes for a party. All were delicious! They make heavenly sandwiches, exquisite macchiatos, scrumptious granola and house made yogurt ... if corde and the pastries and cakes are indescribable. Yes, I are my weight in food here over the weekend! The only bad thing I can say is why are you a plane ride away from me?!!! I'll be back.

Yelp
Depending on the day and time you go - you might find your self stuck in line watching as the last remaining favorite pastry item is ordered and pulled from the shelf just a few patrons ahead of you. And yet it's all good, Tulie is worth the wait and has plenty of other decadent items to choose from. As I mentioned it's all about the day and times, as I've gone with zero line and many items to choose for zero line zero (favored) pastries. I've found it's all part of the experience at Tulie. The many different faces of patrons the smiling baristas or kitchen staff is all friendly and attentive. Happy to bring your food item to your seat and shout your name across the beautifully creamy ivory painted walls. (They're not white, a friend described them as "sourdough starter cream" color). It adds to its neighborhood charm and gives you a feeling of belonging while being left alone if that's what you want. Not my favorite chai spot but I find my self there weekly to dine on Avocado toast(get it with the egg), savory croissants or divulge in some scrumptious coffee cake.
google avatar

Sean D.

Yelp
Not too bad, but I don't know that I would go outta my way to visit again. The coffee and chai flavors were great, but SCALDING hot. You have been warned. Be patient and they are worth it, and your tongue will thank you for your patience. The various pastries were hit or miss. For example, the chocolate chip cookie Whoopie pie was freaking awesome. However, The brownie was so meh my kids said "never mind" and put it back in the box. Yeah... kids turned down a brownie! The other 4 pastries were the same. One was good, the next was tolerable, the next great, and the last thrown away. ,

Liz D.

Yelp
Warm ham and cheese croissant - heated in the oven- not microwaved . We make sure to visit Tulie every time we come to slc

Calvin J.

Yelp
Really delicious. Has a Scandinavian flavor to it. Coffee is rich strong and creamy. The service can be really polite and excited about their product to sometimes downright hostile. Don't ask them if they have Wi-Fi unless you want to be treated like a pariah
google avatar

Jonathan N.

Yelp
Given everything I've heard about Tulie over the years, I'm almost embarrassed to say I've only just made my first visit there. However, I'm happy to say that my experience exceeded my high expectations and that of my family. We ordered a few pies for Thanksgiving-- the pumpkin pie, pecan pie, pumpkin cheesecake (full size of the pumpkin, individual sizes of the pecan and cheesecake) and they were all so delicious! When we picked up the pies, we also got a few pastries-- the cheese danish, the morning bun, and the almond croissant. They are HUGE and delicious. Every single one was a 10/10. The almond croissant had lots of almonds and filling and was my favorite. I'll be back here often. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Drew M.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff. We ordered something and was never asked if we wanted it to go but they put it in a box. When we sat down to eat they asked us to leave since we got it in a box. I definitely won't be back. It was a huge power trip move by the staff there and so unnecessary.
google avatar

India K.

Yelp
Unbeatable croissants. Nice palmiers. Cute location with a locals feel. A little bit sterile...which I think is the intended ambiance.
google avatar

Peter C.

Yelp
Super friendly and the cleanest cafe I've seen in my life. Incredibly cozy interior. Food is exceptional as well. This is undoubtedly the best cafe/bakery in all of Salt Lake City.

Ann V.

Yelp
I really don't understand the hype about this bakery. I've been here three different times, and each time I'm disappointed. Most of their pastries are rock hard and tasteless. The only pastry I like is their morning bun, and it's best warmed up. Not only are their pastries subpar at best, but their staff is incredibly rude. They have a sense of superiority and seem very displeased to be there. I asked if they had vegan options, and one woman rolled her eyes at me. Needless to say, I won't be back for a fourth time.
google avatar

Ambryn J.

Yelp
They don't need another 5 star review..... but they deserve it. Their laminated doughs are made by the gods. A croissant paired with their Pink Elephant coffee will be my last meal.
google avatar

Asher B.

Yelp
The pastries are good (though there are better), coffee is fine, I usually skip it though.
google avatar

Felecia B.

Yelp
Just Amazing food. Best Almond Croissant I've had in my life. All around delicious on all fronts
google avatar

Doug M.

Yelp
Step 1) Buy Sticky Bun before they sell out around 11am Step 2) Enjoy your new life (Optional) Almond Croissant also highly life-changing

David A.

Yelp
It's really awesome to have a to have a neat little bakery within walking distance. Unfortunately, every time I've walked there they are nearly out of food - no matter the time of day. So I end up walking back home and going somewhere else. It's not their fault - the store is just tiny. They have two cold cases - one for preordered cakes, one for... everything else. Imagine a small Starbucks. That being said, with Les Madelaine, Gourmandise, etc. 5 minutes away, we have other options that provide 5-star baked goods and excellent service - it's hard to justify going to Tulie, knowing I'll probably have to make a second trip. They do have a dine in counter which always has seats available - usually all of them are open. It also probably warrants mentioning that showering before work should be compulsory in food service.

Matthew L.

Yelp
My $5 gluten-free raspberry cardamom muffin had not even one raspberry in it. Coffee was fine. A good muffin is worth $5, but when it's called "raspberry cardamom" and is missing 50% of that, it's no longer a $5 muffin.
google avatar

Joseph D.

Yelp
Beautiful pastries, friendly people, great coffee. A regular stop. Try the chocolate bouchons if you like chocolate.
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
Well, this was an odd one. Came to Tulie on a strong recommendation, left with a brownie - my favorite. The cashier looked at my brownie at the checkout and made a comment about a batch not being fully cooked, but this one looked good to go or else she wouldn't have sold it to me. Turns out she didn't look hard enough. Flavor was really good, but it definitely wasn't cooked enough. Also, see photo - I bit into something that I'm not sure what it is. A little stretchy, 5/8" long, like a thin rope? Looks like a cellophane noodle, but not. There are too many other bakeries out there to have an undercooked brownie with a foreign object in it for me to return.
google avatar

Alesya G.

Yelp
Delicious fresh fruit tart. Also the sticky roll is bomb . Been here several times and the deserts are always delicious!
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
Great service! Girls working there are so attentive and very nice. Beautiful inside and out. Great coffee!!! Definitely 5 stars. I had the iced vanilla latte & it was so good!!! I finished it fast which is rare by the way haha I almost never finish my coffee haha. Definitely recommend 100% & totally coming back! Thank you!
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
Love this place. Amazing croissants, but they sell out quickly so get there early! The coffee is great too.
google avatar

Yelp
Good food , clean nice atmosphere in a nice part of town. Love french food. This was done well.
google avatar

Kamrie F.

Yelp
OMG! This place is awesome. High quality cakes and treats for a really decent price. I got a salted caramel shortbread with chocolate can't recall the exact name for it, but it had the best combination of ingredients. I couldn't put it down. The coffee is delicious as well. Only thing is the customer service wasn't that great. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day tho. 10/10 would go again.
