Tumbling Waters Retreat

Wow! What a memorable weekend we had in Tumbling Waters. From the moment we entered through the gates we felt instantly relaxed and at home. Sonia and Andrew made us feel instantly welcome with friendly, relaxed and warm hospitality. The room was absolutely stunning with outdoor and indoor bath, a very comfortable bed and a beautiful fragrance. The grounds are delightful and dinner in the restaurant cooked by Terry and served by Yan was superb. The views from the entire resort are spectacular and the intimate setting made it all so special. Thank you team we will definitely be back!

Had a wonderful and relaxing weekend celebrating my wife's birthday at Tumbling Waters Retreat! The room was big, comfy, spotless and well equipped, with a spectacular view. We especially loved the private outdoor stone bathtub, soaking in warm water while taking in the scenery. Sonja, Andrew and Yaan (+GF) were such amazing hosts – attentive, generous and genuinely welcoming, making us feel right at home. Dinner and breakfast were scrumptious and very satisfying. The location is superb, close to popular lookouts, beaches, towns and activities, and only a little over an hour’s drive away. A perfect place to spend a night or two to unwind after a busy week without the hassle of long travel. We’re already planning to come back for another upcoming birthday celebration!

Loved celebrating a special anniversary with hubby here. Gorgeous location. So picturesque and charming. Beautiful relaxing place to get away to for a weekend or a special occasion. Absolute luxury with spectacular views. Warm family run business where everyone is friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Sonja, Andrew and Yaan all made you feel so special and at home. The food was amazing, exquisitely made by French chief, Terry. Built right on the cliff with outstanding views. The whole venue felt hidden away and indulgent. The pond and bathhouse set on the edge of the cliff above the water fall were breathtaking and felt like part of a secret oasis with lovely garden, secret bath and quaint bridge. With the beautiful infinity pool and spa above you couldn’t pick a more luxurious relaxing place. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back.

We stayed at Tumbling Waters Retreat for our 10-year wedding anniversary and it was absolutely magical. We booked the Ocean Suite for 2 nights and were blown away from the moment we arrived. Owners Sonja, Andrew and their son Yaan made us feel like family. Their warmth, positivity and genuine love for what they do made our stay unforgettable. Nothing was ever a problem — they were always happy to help, have a chat, and make sure every detail was perfect. The Ocean Suite itself was stunning. The stone outdoor bath overlooking the scenery was pure luxury, especially with the gorgeous scents and relaxing music already prepared for us. It felt like our own private spa. We enjoyed 5-star dinners on both nights, and the beautiful breakfast each morning was the perfect start to the day. The bar area was divine, with incredible views that made us want to sit there for hours. Our wedding anniversary was truly one to remember — peaceful, romantic, and unforgettable. A picture-perfect, relaxing and rejuvenating place to stay. We stayed in the gorgeous eco bathhouse cabin and had the best time watching the water dragons chill out around the waterfall dam. The private hot tub and steam room/shower in the cabin were a lovely indulgence. Sonja, Andrew and Yaan were delightful and caring hosts. Thierry’s meals were absolutely delicious. The lounge, with its self service honour system drinks, had the best treetop canopy seaside views of native birds. Highly recommend!!

We were looking for a special weekend away for our 40th wedding anniversary and Tumbling waters exceeded our expectations. From the beautiful room to the Chef cooked welcome meal on the Friday night. Thierry prepared a lovely meal and was so nice to chat with but not intrusive. Waking to the fabulous view and to be greeted by Yaan and Sonia for breakfast made us feel so welcome and yet the setting is so intimate. The grounds are fabulous and relaxing. We had booked the couple massage which was fantastic and the day was topped off with a fabulous restaurant quality meal once again cooked by Thierry. The one downside was the weather which did not allow us to use the outside bath, the infinity pool or go bush walking. However we still found the art gallery in Stanwell park. The weekend was so relaxing and we are planning on when we can return.

Incredible weekend stay at Tumbling Waters Retreat!! I proposed to my Fiancé here and it was the perfect place to do it. We stayed in the beach ocean suite which was amazing and so quiet and peaceful. The communication from the team beforehand was great and even during the stay all the staff were so nice and so helpful. We wish we could re-live this weekend again it was that good. Definitely recommend staying here, you won't regret it!

Tumbling waters was a magical place to have a wedding and an even more magical place to stay! The team there make a wedding the most seamless event to plan and take all of the stress out of the day! Their recommended suppliers are a joy to work with and you couldn’t get a better experience from start to end. The love and the joy at venue are felt by every guest and the accommodation is the most beautiful place to stay in NSW. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and if you’re thinking about it. Book it!
