This is a great campsite. Shelter from the wind, and separate areas for tents and camper vans. The waterfall runs into the site which makes it relaxing and a nice white noise all night. Good facilities which are clean. Lots of space. Highly recommended 5300kr for two people, no electricity, for one night. Guy running the site was super chill and welcoming.

Beautiful nature... picturesque waterfalls, nice little stream with ice cold water... perfect to dip your feet into and refresh after a long walk. We were just visiting for a few houra, not used the campgrounds, but it was nice since the weather was fine.

We recently spent a night at the Tungudalur campsite a few km southwest of Isafjordur in the Westfjords. The campground is lovely situated under the Bunarfoss (waterfall). There is a small stream that runs through the campground. You can walk up to the falls in 10-15 minutes as well. Otherwise, this is a somewhat secluded location away from the main streets, restaurants and residential areas of Isafjordur. Reception is open from 8 to 10pm where you can come an make payment for the night. Rates in June 2025, 2450kr per person, 1300kr electricity, 333kr per vehicle tax per night. There is a nice communal kitchen with indoor seating. Toilets were nicely maintained. Free showers, laundry services available. Really enjoyed the grounds of this campsite. If arriving a bit early, you can pick a spot next to the stream with views of the waterfall in the background. There is a Bonus (supermarket) around 2km up the road as well if you need to stock up on food items for dinner preparation.

Camp ground view setting is perfect with golf course within walking distance plus the nature beauty of water falls and hiking trails nearby.

Has a great potential. The location is lovely, quiet, right in the middle of nature and a nearby waterfall. The common room is reasonably large and equipped. But maintenance isn't at standard. The place had not been cleaned thoroughly (kitchen , toilets, showers) when we were there even though we were off season with very few campers staying that night. It can easily gets 4+ stars but does not deserve it for now.

Clean hot showers and bathroom areas. Lots of tables in the kitchen but no stove. Had difficulty finding the host to pay between 19:00 and 10:00 and there was a sign to do a bank transfer (unknown amount) on the door.

Big camping site 5 toilets in total for men, two showers, this areas could be a bit cleaner, there is a kitchen and some bbqs do not know if they work or not. Overall decent camping but not the best we have been in Iceland, nevertheless the view is incredible and is not too cold.

Beautiful location and convenient camping site but very poor maintenance. Electrical boxes taped together with tape or plastic wrap, sockets broken, lampposts crooked, lawns badly maintained and not fixed between guests. Playground equipment starting to show signs of wear and tear. Toilets clean, cooking facilities fine. No staff on site, only reachable by phone. Only English speaking staff, no Icelandic.
