Sept.24 Paid ISK4900 for 2 persons & campervan. Great campground surrounded by trees and a lot of space with sight to waterfall. Nice kitchen with 2 double stoves, hotwater kettle, coffee maker, microwave and seating area. There is a little children's playground and some hiking trails.

Delightful spot nestled in the trees. Small waterfall and forest nearby. Good walking tracks. I found Grove of blueberries. Yummo Good facilities take coins for washing machine and dryer.

Probably one of the best campsites in this part of Iceland. Clean toilets and decent showers. Good community area/ kitchen. Great location. 🧺👕👖🧦🧼 Mind that you need ICELAND CURRENCY IN COINS for the washing machine!

Stayed here August 2021. We were very selective with the campgrounds we stayed at during our 12-day Ring Road trip and this campground was one we intentionally made sure to stay at because it looked gorgeous from photos. The campground was just as amazing in person! We arrived early enough to get a campsite by the river AND with a view of the waterfall flowing down the mountain. There was no one in the pay booth when we arrived and it was slightly confusing where we were allowed to camp until we realized the parking was in the areas below the pay booth. This campsite was one of our two favorites during our whole trip. It rained the entire night we were here and we didn’t even mind because a second, incredible waterfall formed on the mountain and the facilities (kitchen/bathroom) were great. The showers were a bit a bit stinky but there were 3 or 4 showers and the water was warm and unlimited. Doesn’t get any better! Loved this place!

We were headed to this campsite and as I read some of the most recent reviews I started to feel a bit unsure about it. It was said that there is only one toilet, one shower, trashes were all locked and it was more expensive than others. All of this didn't turn ou to be true at all. In total there are four toilets for men and four for women. Two sinks with mirrors in each bathroom. There are two showers and both work perfectly fine - I never saw a line in front of the showers or bathrooms although there were a lot of people. Trash cans are partly locked, but only the ones directly at the reception and car parking. However, there are plenty of trash cans available everywhere on the camping ground. Also it is not more expensive than other campsites we have been to. Showers were even included, on many others we had to pay extra for showers. In total this is a great campsite with a lovely location. Also the guy at the reception was really nice, even recommended us spots for our tent to be best protected from the light wind. So if you are in the area, this is definitely a good spot to stop.

A beautiful and new campsite with a cosy and functional common room, clean and comfy bathrooms, helpful staff and beautiful views. It's located in a valley where we were protected from the winds. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because there is only one shower. While the camp is not too big and crowded, it may still mean that you have to wait to take a shower. June 2023: 3600 kr for 2 people, showers included, electricity and laundry separate.

This is the best campsite so far. I have stayed at campsites from South -> East -> West. The hot water shower is constant and without sulphur smell. A few campsites we went does not have constant hot water for shower. Toilets, Showers and Kitchen areas are clean. Big campsite. So camped here for two nights.

Great showers and toilets, nice kitchen, amazing view and fun swings :) there were like 10 other campers but we still had privacy. One of the best campingsites we've been too!
