This is a great campsite. Shelter from the wind, and separate areas for tents and camper vans. The waterfall runs into the site which makes it relaxing and a nice white noise all night. Good facilities which are clean. Lots of space. Highly recommended 5300kr for two people, no electricity, for one night. Guy running the site was super chill and welcoming.

Beautiful nature... picturesque waterfalls, nice little stream with ice cold water... perfect to dip your feet into and refresh after a long walk. We were just visiting for a few houra, not used the campgrounds, but it was nice since the weather was fine.

We recently spent a night at the Tungudalur campsite a few km southwest of Isafjordur in the Westfjords. The campground is lovely situated under the Bunarfoss (waterfall). There is a small stream that runs through the campground. You can walk up to the falls in 10-15 minutes as well. Otherwise, this is a somewhat secluded location away from the main streets, restaurants and residential areas of Isafjordur. Reception is open from 8 to 10pm where you can come an make payment for the night. Rates in June 2025, 2450kr per person, 1300kr electricity, 333kr per vehicle tax per night. There is a nice communal kitchen with indoor seating. Toilets were nicely maintained. Free showers, laundry services available. Really enjoyed the grounds of this campsite. If arriving a bit early, you can pick a spot next to the stream with views of the waterfall in the background. There is a Bonus (supermarket) around 2km up the road as well if you need to stock up on food items for dinner preparation.

A very good campsite with full facilities. A spacious kitchen, showers, and clean toilets. In addition, the staff is extremely accommodating. I can highly recommend this campsite!

Sept.24 Paid ISK4900 for 2 persons & campervan. Great campground surrounded by trees and a lot of space with sight to waterfall. Nice kitchen with 2 double stoves, hotwater kettle, coffee maker, microwave and seating area. There is a little children's playground and some hiking trails.

A decent size campsite in a lovely location with waterfall at the back. There is no chemical toilet disposal here, despite listings saying it does. There is apparently a municipal services centre about halfway to town which does. (Þjónustumiðstöð - áhaldahús Ísafjarðarbæjar) On our visit there was a lot of litter, uncleared BBQ trays and quite dirty toilets. Hence 3*

Stayed here August 2021. We were very selective with the campgrounds we stayed at during our 12-day Ring Road trip and this campground was one we intentionally made sure to stay at because it looked gorgeous from photos. The campground was just as amazing in person! We arrived early enough to get a campsite by the river AND with a view of the waterfall flowing down the mountain. There was no one in the pay booth when we arrived and it was slightly confusing where we were allowed to camp until we realized the parking was in the areas below the pay booth. This campsite was one of our two favorites during our whole trip. It rained the entire night we were here and we didn’t even mind because a second, incredible waterfall formed on the mountain and the facilities (kitchen/bathroom) were great. The showers were a bit a bit stinky but there were 3 or 4 showers and the water was warm and unlimited. Doesn’t get any better! Loved this place!

Delightful spot nestled in the trees. Small waterfall and forest nearby. Good walking tracks. I found Grove of blueberries. Yummo Good facilities take coins for washing machine and dryer.
