Tuolumne Meadows Grill

4 stars for the store; it's small but they have enough stuff for you to get by. 5 stars for the post office sandwiched between the store and the grill. It may be the smallest in existence but it processes a mountain of packages. Just ask postman Mike and he'll tell ya. 3 stars for the grill. The food is not the best but it gets the job done if you're hungry and you probably will be. Standouts are the veggie chili and the bacon and egg biscuit. Fries are good too. I haven't had the burger but I imagine it's pretty good because I've seen many others with burger in hand. Staff are always nice.

Surprisingly decent tasting food for being in Yosemite. Gets busy in peak season. Long line, out the door, but moved very fast. All the employees were moving fast, especially the cooks. Credit card machine was very slow. Several picnic tables outside. General store next door. Very PCT hiker friendly area.

Darn good burger and soft-serv for after a long day of hiking. Tip... grab a six pack from the store next door and kick it on the picnic bench.

Location, location, location. At the end of 35 miles on the trail their burgers and steak fries taste amazing. After driving there, not as much. They close at 6:00, right when you want to eat, and the prices are high for what you get, but they are in the right place.

This place exists as a sort of reward for through hikers and to a lesser extent, tourists. If you have to have something hot (think burgers or egg sandwiches), this is for you. If you can subsist on something a little less prepared and more processed the store next door will more than suffice. But please, which ever you choose, please please please either hike out your garbage or place it in one of the designated receptacles. The beauty surrounding this establishment remains as one of the extremely few testaments to humanity's ability to respect and preserve nature. Knock on wood....

Yosemite is a great place, and this grill was no exception. Great vegetarian chili! Yum. Thankfully, the fires didn’t reach the areas around the grill. I’m looking forward to visiting this gem of a place again soon.

A burger and fries after a long day of hiking is magic! Be ready to wait in line and when they close, they close. So make sure to arrive not at 5pm or 459pm. Bonus: grab beer from the store next door and eat at the picnic benches at front.

Excellent deal for a GREAT place in a National Park! We had a cheeseburger, only options for the cheeseburger available was... American cheese, well done... didn't ask for anything different except a double. It was late in the work day (about 15 till close) so he said we couldn't get a double. Probably just in case other's may show up for eats... no big deal. Otherwise it was DELICIOUS for our not being prepared for a day trip out of Groveland (name of the game... BE PREPARED!!!!) {smiley face with a tongue hanging out} Had the wedgie fries and bought a single beer next door. Chowed that down and went fishing... Service was great!! People were awesome!! Only reason it it wasn't a 5 star? Because it is was it is!!!!!!!!!! I didn't expect a 5star fare in the mountains... where I should of been self-supported. I enjoyed! nuff said? ...!! yup!
