The food was exquisitely delicious and the service was just as delectable. Every dish/side had its own unique flavor. The servers are pleasant and attentive. Chef T is rocking it in the kitchen and bringing that southern Tupelo Honey sweet charm to the dining area as she connects with the patrons to make sure their dining experience is Chef T approved💕

DASHER REVIEW: As a door Dasher I visit quite a bit of locations every day. This spot is located in the heart of downtown Charlotte. Exactly one block away from center city. It sits on Tryon Street so parking is very limited. Do you have to find a local parking deck and walk a bit if you can't find Street parking. Upon walking in you may be greeted or choose to sit at the bar war table. The ambiance is great. Well lit, nice and clean, and no loud background music playing. It's comfortable enough for you to sit and talk with your people, you're not too quiet to where you'll feel like folks can be in your business. It has a bit of a upscale bar type feel without feeling too expensive. The food here is professionally prepped. And judging from everybody's faces they were enjoying themselves and their meal. The prices are in the mid-range around that $20-30. They have a variety of different items to choose from. Creative dishes as well. All in all, I would definitely give them a try if you're visiting the city. And if you're local, I would have them to your restaurant rotation.

I was shocked to discover that the one in Columbus was far better than the one here in Charlotte. We went because it was familiar and close to the venue of the show we were going to see. The mocktail mule was good, just SMALL. The fried green tomatoes weren't seasoned and cut super thick. My salad was so bland and it was a ceasar🫨 but anyway. The burger was really good 👍🏽 Couldn't taste the sauce though so I used my ceasar dressing for that.

We stopped by for Saturday afternoon brunch and enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant had a good and the outdoor seating was nice. Our server, Nico was nice and hospitable and provided some good recommendations like the Smothered Chicken & Biscuits, which were delicious. Our food came pretty quickly too. Good restaurant overall in the heart of uptown.

I've been to one other Tupelo Honey and I enjoyed this location more. The food was amazing and the portions were large. Our waitress was excellent and attentive. The kitchen made a mistake with our order and she corrected it for us.... and we didn't even know that there was an error. We really appreciated her attentiveness.

The chicken is famous and should be, the lightly dusted is perfect for southern charm. The cereal milk martini was so delightful, I had to sip it just to make it last. The Mahi was really spicy but well done. The fried green tomatoes were average. I wouldn't say the food is amazing, but it is good. I would say the service is amazing and the atmosphere is worth the stop.

I was in Raleigh for a swim meet at NC State and stopped by Tupelo Honey—amazing experience! The fried chicken was crispy, perfectly seasoned, with a nice spicy kick. The rosemary and Parmesan potatoes were incredible, and the sweet tea was just the way I like it. Fresh food, friendly service, and a great Southern atmosphere. If you’re in Raleigh, Tupelo Honey is a must! Pro tip: Look for a private parking lot just down the street on Stafford Ave.

Always a great experience at TH! Tonight did not disappoint. Excellent food and exceptional service! Our waiter Cody went out of his way to run and chase us down the street when I left something at the table. Highly recommend!! We were having such a great time tonight we shut the place down!!

We almost turned around when we walked in -- the place was so quiet you could hear the ice melting in the bar well. But plot twist: give it twenty minutes and suddenly it's the spot. Either word spread fast, or everyone in town collectively decided to be fashionably late. My wife started with a Bloody Mary but swapped in tequila, because she likes her brunch drinks with a side of chaos. I went for something called "Blood in the Water," which sounds way more dramatic than it is -- basically a New York Sour with an identity crisis. Still, credit where it's due: it slapped. Now, let's talk food. My wife's sweet and spicy chicken was so good it could make a rotisserie chicken from Costco file for early retirement. The greens and mac & cheese were top-tier co-stars -- comforting, creamy, and absolutely enabling. I got the shrimp and grits -- rich, flavorful, and dangerously close to making me believe I have Southern roots. Could I have added hot sauce? Sure. Did it need it? Nope. This dish knew who it was and didn't need dressing up. And as if that wasn't enough, they've got happy hour from 4-6 every day, which feels like a personal invitation I fully plan to abuse. Bottom line: this place started slow but ended like a standing ovation. I came in skeptical and left plotting my next visit -- and maybe my next order of that life-altering chicken.

I took my mom to here for her 67th birthday because she wanted brunch, and it couldn't have been a better choice. From the start, the service was accommodating--our booth was a little too snug, and without hesitation they moved us to a comfy window table. Small detail, big difference. The food? Amazing. Honestly, people can be so nitpicky with food reviews, but here's my rule: if the flavor is there, the vibes are good, and you enjoy yourself--it's 5 stars. And that's exactly what this was. My sister, who usually despises goat cheese, was ready to fight when she found out it was in her grits. But the cheese was subtle, creamy, and blended so well she had nothing to complain about (miracle achieved). The whole atmosphere was warm. The staff was cheerful, no one had "bad day" energy, and they let us linger as one of the last tables while I snapped a few birthday photos of my mom. They made her feel comfortable and celebrated, and that's priceless. Overall, everything was perfect--food, service, energy. I'll definitely be back, and Pillow Honey has officially earned a spot in my "take the family here" rotation.

Only giving any stars because I can't post without giving at least one. Decided to take myself out for a pre-birthday lunch. Was feeling for fried chicken and asked myself "why haven't you been to Tupelo in a while???" Could not recall at the moment, but now I remember. And will tell you why I definitely will not be back. I sat at thr bar for quicker service. I ordered the honey dusted whole piece chicken and the mac & cheese waffle. Asked for it in a to-go box because I knew I would only eat a little and take it back to the office. I received two chicken tenders, plain waffles and a small side of Mac & cheese. When I told my server it was not what I ordered, rather than admitting to getting the order wrong, she proceeded to explain to me that it is what I ordered, but that is how they prepare the mac & cheese waffle when it's to-go. I asked three times is it not mac & cheese prepared as a waffle. I would have accepted this, but I am very familiar with the preparation of a mac & cheese waffle, so I asked that she double-check with the kitchen or manager. Minutes later the manager came out to speak with the other black woman at the bar, who was leaving the restaurant (I can only imagine how the guest was described to the manager when the server went to get her). Once she noticed she should be speaking with me, I asked her to confirm the preparation of the mac & cheese waffle. She told me the waffle is topped with mac & cheese and served, that it is not cooked as a waffle. I then told her I did not want plain waffles or a side of mac & cheese, but I did want chicken. When she did not offer anything else, I said I'll just have the chicken and gave her the mac and waffles back. I did tell her I think the menu should reflect their preparation process, but she explained to me that how it shows on the menu is out of her control. After a few mins of sitting there looking at my big container of 2 chicken tenders, with my Birthday Happy deflated, I realized this did not feel like a celebration meal and told the server I would not be eating there today

I came for lunch and it started out pretty empty then quickly filled up! After trying the spicy chicken and waffles I can see why! The chicken was amazing! It was tangy and moist and absolutely delicious! The waffle was a good Belgian waffle! The goat cheese grits were pretty tasty too! The decor inside was pretty cute and the ambiance was relaxed and friendly! The service was a little slow but worth the wait for the food!

Great place for Southern food in Charlotte. I really like the chicken and waffles and the fried green tomatoes! The service is great and it's close to lots of stuff to do in downtown Charlotte! Park at a structure and walk there. I highly recommend in Charlotte!

This place is always a go-to when I'm in town. The parking is street and paid unfortunately but once you're in, you're welcomed with a beautiful interior. The service isn't too friendly all the time but it's not bad. The food is delicious especially the chicken and waffles. The biscuits and the blueberry spread are amazing. They also have lunch portions and prices which is nice.

You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't order this! The food is amazing! The service is phenomenal and the drinks were top tier.

Must try: Asheville Hot with Mac-N-Cheese Waffles, Fried Okra, Mud Pie, and Mimosas! Why: Traveling for work so had to get my Southern food fix. Started with Fried Okra, which I've been craving for a year! Loved the Mac-N-Cheese Waffles with Fried Chicken. Large portion and easily shareable since it's two waffles. Sipped on a refreshing Apple Cider Mimosa. My friend and I finished our meal sharing Pudding and a Mud Pie. That Mud Pie was special with crunchy crust and rich chocolate. Very much enjoyed entire meal! Notes: We came on a Sunday at 6:30pm for dinner. We were seated immediately. Large dining area with lots of seats for small and large parties. We had a cute circular booth in corner, which felt semi-private for us to have good catch up time. Workers were all super friendly, helpful, and attentive from host to server. They also had a sign closing a wee bit early to take care of their employees, which I thought was admirable. Can't wait to come back!

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the chicken was phenomenal! I got the smothered chicken and biscuits gravy with a side of Brussels sprouts. I also got a mismosa...because what's brunch without one?? I would highly recommend this place, especially because the chicken was perfectly seasoned and so tasty. A few weeks back, one of my girlfriends from church and I met at Tupelo Honey for an early Friday dinner. I ordered the sweet & spicy chicken sandwich and paired it with a Caesar salad for good measure. The fried chicken was drizzled with sriracha honey. The sandwich also had lettuce, pickles, tomato, and mayo on a potato bun. Meanwhile, my friend, who on a meat hiatus, bravely ventured into the vegetarian options. She ordered the harvest bowl--quinoa, carrots, spinach, cherry tomatoes, radish, fennel, roasted red pepper coulis, and feta. Surprisingly, the veggie dish won the approval of a meat-eater who was temporarily on a carnivore break. The ambiance was fairly quiet, and the server was extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Pro tip: Google the parking options before you go. Nothing kills the dinner vibe like spinning the block in search of a spot while your stomach growls louder than your GPS.

I thought I reviewed this location before but if not, I will say that my experience last time matches my experience this time....five stars! When visiting Charlotte, this is out go-to place for breakfast to build a base before visiting a beer festival and this place gets high marks for food (always delicious, if not particularly healthy), service and atmosphere. Last time I had some fried chicken tenders and biscuits and loved everything, esp the blueberry jelly that came with the biscuits. I didn't have a drink this time but last time I did and it was great. Service is so friendly...everyone is great. If I have one nit to pick, it's that they don't provide dishes designed to be shared with serving spoons. I love my friends but I don't want everyone's fork in my pimento cheese dip, so please provide one. I will note that when I asked for a serving utensil, one was provided fairly promptly but for a shared dish, serving spoons are a blessing. That's a tiny thing and doesn't detract from my five star rating. Keep it up, Tupelo Honey!

Came with a couple of friends and there was a long wait. Once we got our food and drinks it was understandable why. The watermelon margarita was very refreshing and my girlfriend fell in love with it after they had ordered themselves mimosas. The potatoes were beyond my expectations and chicken is seasoned very well. We also couldn't get enough of the sweet potato pancakes. Oh! The smash burger was delicious as well, juicy burger with caramelized onion

I LOVE Tupelo Honey!!!! The service is amazing at every location I've been to. The atmosphere is so clean, cozy and inviting. You cannot go wrong with anything on Ty e menu!

My friends & I came here on a Saturday morning and it was popping! There was an hour wait for a regular table, but they offered us bar seats. We sit at the bar since there were seats. We didn't really know who was supposed to be our server but eventually a woman took our order. I ordered the Smashburger with an egg and it was very delicious. The onion jam was a nice touch! My friend got the Chicken Torilla Soup and it was not worth the price, it was less than 10 bites in the bowl -- it was weirdly shallow. The biscuits are a great price and a great starter. The Sweet and Spicy chicken and waffles were also delicious but the sauce made the waffle soggy so if you don't like that then get the sauce on the side. My only real issue was that I didn't know who to ask things from like condiments or silverware, so I was a little confused. Otherwise, it was a great experience! Very cozy and cute inside!

Terrible... I got a house salad with salmon and the mixed greens were half rotten. The apple dijon dressing was terrible. I could not even eat it.

We almost missed this place because it looked like a simple cafeteria setup, but I'm so glad we stopped in. The food was absolutely wonderful--true Southern comfort done right--and the service from Angela was spectacular. I had the chicken sandwich, and my friend ordered the meatloaf; both were fantastic. The Brussels sprouts were so good we ordered an extra serving. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Nice clean restaurant with great staff. We went for a later lunch so it wasn't busy and was quiet. The fried pickles were a great start. I had chicken strips with parmesan crusted potatoes. The chicken was wonderful with a nice light breading. All 3 of the dipping sauces were amazing! Although it'd be hard to beat the chicken, the potatoes did just that. Well worth a visit. Thanks to the front desk lady at the Omni for the recommendation.

We had an 11:15am reservation, we were seated at 11:35am. We ordered an omelet platter and traditional breakfast at 11:45 and did not get our food till 12:20. Our meals were cold. The waiter had too many tables so he couldn't keep up with everyone's needs. The food was mediocre at best. Such a shame cause the restaurant had a great vibe. I'm not super impressed with their food and service. Not sure we will go back.

We came here for brunch, once we arrived we were seated right away. Drinks to start we had the Blueberry lanvenser mimosas , nice taste & decent amount of alcohol. Appetizers we tried the Pimento cheese dip w tortillas nice warm, crunchy chips great with the cheese dip. Main dishes we tried the Banana creme brûlée , OMG is all I gotta say, wow this was delicious melts in your mouth the combo of the waffle with the creme brûlée is so tasty not crazy sweet, good chicken no need for the syrup. Also, had the Chicken & biscuits yummm chicken is very tasty , good biscuits & gravy we left in quite the food coma. Good music playing, Service was good & prices are not bad, reasonable that banana creme brûlée will live in mind rent free, definitely worth the try.

Clearly a popular place for brunch. We really enjoyed the atmosphere! For entree I went with the chicken and biscuits, which my friend and I both agreed tasted better separately. We were just not huge fans of the gravy. We also were expecting to taste more honey in the chicken but didn't get a ton of that flavor. Overall still a good experience. Would like to try more of the menu!

My friend and I had the pleasure of eating here about two weeks ago and we had an amazing waitress named Alyse, she was so attentive with us and her customer service was impressive. To drink, we shared the mimosa flight, which was perfect for us. My favorite drink from the four was the apple cider donut, sooo delishhh. To eat, I had ordered the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, but I believe I received the wrong sandwich because it didn't have lettuce, pickles, and tomato as described in the menu - I think I received the sweet tea chicken sandwich and it was still delicious 5/5 so I did not mind. I had macaroni and cheese as my side and I would give it a 3.5/5. My friend ordered the whiskey onion smash burger and she said she enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the restaurants, vibe and aesthetic, and I liked that there was a bar in the middle of the restaurant for those who just wanted to have a drink or for people who are waiting for their table to be ready. I'd definitely come back here.

Had multiple recommendations for this restaurant and was hoping for slightly more going in... The mimosa options were highly appreciated, with unique flavors and colors to choose from. Portion sizes were large and it had great natural sunlight throughout the restaurant. Be prepared for a wait if you don't have a reservation. The main thing that did not meet expectations was the sweet & spicy chicken 'n' waffle, which had a strong buffalo flavor which was not advertised on the menu as the "spicy" part. Also, 4 co-ed bathrooms for the whole restaurant with no way to see if they're occupied, meaning awkward pushes on each door to check if it's locked.

I've always wanted to try this spot out and finally had a chance to. We celebrated my friend's 40th by coming for brunch. The greeter was very sweet and it took no time to be seated. We sat out and the waitress was great, answering all of our questions and suggesting different drinks and other foods. I ordered the Banana Crème Brûlée Chicken and Waffles with a Veggie Omelette and OMG! It was beyond great! The banana pudding on top of the waffles and the chicken on top made it perfect! I also tried the mimosa flight and it was delicious as well! Per usual, it exceeded my expectation and I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Came into town for an event and a friend found this place. We shared the crispy brussels which were very crispy and seasoned well. The brussel sprouts paired very well with the red pepper/almond romesco. As for entrees I split the mac n cheese waffles with asheville hot chicken and one of the waffles was enough for each of us. The portions were larger than we thought they would be and had also ordered the breakfast platter which we didn't get to. The chicken was crispy and moist on the inside, the waffles were fluffy but crisp, and the mac n cheese was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. I did try the potatoes from the farmhouse platter and they were seasoned perfectly, but were not crispy. Service was quick and attentive. I also loved the openness of the space.

Not impressed. We waited to get a seat outside which was nice but the service was awful. Apparently our server had tables inside and we were the one table outside so needless to say, we waited and were rarely checked on. The Food: Decided to try the Asheville Hot Chicken and Ranch Melt. Overall a pretty good sandwich but the chicken was a bit bland and lacking any spice. Went with the Collard Greens as a side and they were super salty. Won't be coming back as the service and the food issues just don't make it worth it.

Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen never disappoints! This visit, we started with the Cast Iron Pimento Cheese Dip, and wow--absolutely incredible! The warm, melty pimento cheese paired with the crispy, seasoned honey chips was the perfect combination of creamy and crunchy with a touch of sweetness. For my main, I had the Spinach, Feta & Grape Tomato Omelette, and it was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. On a previous visit, I had the Chicken Benedict, and I still dream about how juicy and well-seasoned the chicken was, paired with perfectly cooked eggs. The atmosphere here is always welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Charlotte, and I can't wait to come back again (and again). Might have to make this a tradition! Highly recommend!

The restaurant had a huge rush at the evening meal because of a convention in town. In spite of this, service was pleasant. I like all the windows and the brightness. I had the avocado melt and it was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Getting the check and paying was very slow. That part was a bit frustrating. But the food is great.

Go for brunch!!! The chicken and gravy biscuits are incredible. The prices are really fair too. They have a great outdoor patio if you like sitting outside. The service is always good and I highly recommend the bloody Mary's.

My boyfriend and I went for the first time this weekend. We didn't have a reservation and they were pretty busy with the pride parade going on, so we sat at the bar. First, the decor was SO cute. Service was amazing, drinks were perfect and the food was so good! I only got a picture of my food unfortunately lol but we will definitely be back! (Side note, I like that they have pictures next to all their menu items online. Super helpful)

Had a few hours to kill before hopping on the plane heading back to Cali Cali, so we stopped and got something to nosh on. After stalking Instagram food influencers for places to eat for the past couple of months we opted for Tupelo on a fluke. As soon as we opened the door, we were created with a smile, and even though we didn't have reservations, we were seated immediately. She: the chicken and waffles. He: the mountain morning bowl with chopped apple cider bacon, and the stone ground goat cheese grits. I: the farmhouse, breakfast platter with chorizo pork sausage, with the rosemary and parmesan crispy potatoes and a slice of Texas toast. We: Waters Us: Java Our server, Matt was hospitable and informative, and gave us a history on those their grits , and as we say in the Bay Area were #Hella good. Ambience was cool, everybody was enjoying themselves, the music was jamming on the one, and the light fixtures were trending! If ever back in Charlotte, I definitely might come back because there's a couple things on the menu that are peaking my interest. Overall I am giving this place four yumms up!

Food was ok once we received it; but the service, from arriving until departing, was horrible. We had reservations for brunch, but had to wait at least 20 minutes for the table to be cleared (many tables sat waiting to be cleaned while we were there). The waitress didn't stop by initially for another 10+ minutes to take our drink orders, and we then waited another 15-20 minutes for those to be delivered (the restaurant was not busy). There were mistakes made when our bill was charged; but at that point, we just wanted the experience to end. Needless to say, we will not return to that Tupelo Honey Charlotte location... the ones in Asheville & Raleigh are wonderful.

I visited for brunch . This location offers classic breakfast options in the heart of the Queen City all at pretty affordable prices! If you're looking for a delicious breakfast in uptown with a cute vibe, look no further. Just be sure to make a reservation in advance on the weekends, as it tends to get pretty busy during brunch.

Food is bland to the point of almost tasteless. The presentation is well done but the taste doesn't match. Wouldn't recommend. Staff is friendly but you're there to eat.

We had a good experience here with a big party. I really liked that they had a GF gluten free menu? I got the bowl and it was great. Honestly everyone had a pretty good time and meal. The only drawback was the Panthers game happening which made parking a beast. The staff was nice but they were a little understaffed.

Lovely spot in downtown CLT not far from Banknof America Stadium. I was looking for somewhere to eat after the Cowboys/Panthers game, and while most downtown eateries had long waits, this one was able to get us in with seats at the bar. The staff were very friendly and knew the menu inside and out. The wait for the food after ordering was reasonable and the food was delicious!. The smothered chicken thighs are a definite must try item.

this place was definitely cute & lots of seating! the service was lovely & loved the vibe of all the staff. i tried the shrimp po boy with fried shrimp. shrimp was delicious, however, it did need a bit more sauce to make it more tasty. shrimp & grits were tasty too, however, need to salt & pepper to taste. it's right in uptown with valet outside, but overall a cute place to try in Charlotte!

We've been to the Tupelo Honey location in Myrtle Beach and everything was great. This time in Charlotte it was a bit disappointing. We were greeted promptly and pleasantly, and our server, Carmin, came over right away and took our drink order. We ordered two coffees and she only brought one. Not a problem really, but it took a while to get the second cup. I ordered an omelette with bacon, peppers and Swiss and my husband had the farmers breakfast. His was very good, but my eggs were quite rubbery, and the bacon was too burnt to eat. They were quite crumbled so I had to pick them out of the omelette. It came with grits which was very good and highly recommended. Most importantly, our server never came over to ask how everything was, and it wasn't that busy, which is why I'm giving three stars. Overall the food is pretty good and a fairly good value (except the coffee is too expensive) so I would say give it a try. I will go again, but this time I'll steer clear of the bacon.

Eh. I left half my chicken because the skin was an outer shell as hard a rock. The inside chicken was ok, some of it too dry to eat. The Brussel sprouts were good as were the fries. One and done for me. The bee honey dusting or whatever it was they promote was MIA or part of the rock hard inedible exterior rock like shell.

I decided to try this place out. I had never heard of it before, and it seemed interesting. My guests and I entered the place and stood for a few minutes until someone came to seat us. It wasn't busy in there, so I don't know what took so long. We were asked if we wanted to eat indoors or outside, and we chose to eat outside. Once we were seated, it took 20 minutes before a server came to our table to take our orders. I had to get the hostess's attention, who was strikingly beautiful by the way. She apologized to us and sent a server to our table. The server apologized as well once she came to the table. She took our appetizer and drink orders. They took quite some time to come out. Once we got our appetizers and drinks, we were ok. They were good. If you have never been there, I suggest you try their crispy Brussels sprouts. If you like fried okra, those were good as well. They were tasty and cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed their sweet potato pancake with spiced pecans & powdered sugar, and soy-sage breakfast sausage was surprisingly delicious. I also enjoyed their stone-ground goat cheese grits. I did not care for the drink I ordered. The only thing I didn't like was that after we got our appetizers, it took forever for our entrees to come out. Maybe they only had one cook in the kitchen. It wasn't busy, so I don't know what the issue was. The young lady who served our table was very friendly, professional, and engaging when we spoke with her to ask questions and to have fun. I will definitely be going back because I did enjoy the food. They need to pay more attention to their guests and be a little quicker with bringing food out to the tables.

Stopped at this restaurant well on vacation and had an absolutely delightful time. The banana pudding was absolutely delicious and so was the espresso mousse very clean and very great environment and friendly waitresses. I highly recommend.

Food was delicious, mimosa was delicious, very cute inside. I will say one of my chicken tenders was a little overcooked but the others were delish!

This is a very busy brunch location which happened to be remarkably understaffed on the Sunday morning we went. However, our waiter and the kitchen staff went into overdrive. Our meals were fantastic and we will definitely return.
