Nice rooms, we had a mini suite which was perfect. Very clean. Super comfy bed and good quality linen. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you’d need to cook a light meal. Would stay again. Anyone with mobility issues should check how far away they are from the lift as it’s a very big hotel.

We had a fantastic experience at Turing Locke . I booked studios and a 2-bed apartment for my family this summer and from the start the team was incredibly helpful with the arrangements. In our experience during their stay, the staff and reception team were so kind, welcoming and eager to help - it really made a difference! Any issues ie. with the kitchen sink at one point, were swiftly resolved. The rooms were beautifully designed, comfortable and perfectly located. My family thoroughly enjoyed their time here. Its proximity to transport links, a supermarket, a cafes and restaurants was great! Highly recommend both for short visits and longer stays in Cambridge!

The accommodation was well laid out. Sadly we found the sofa extremely uncomfortable as the back offered little support when trying to sit upright. The food offering at the ||astronomer was pricy and of average quality. We found much better in Central Cambridge a 10 minute uber away. We didn't try the outside venues as it was too windy .

As a first-time visitor to UK, I didn't expect the cleaning is done on a weekly based. Also, the bathroom sink experienced issues and the washing machine cannot be turned on. I need to check out one day earlier and got charged with a cancellation fee (gross) of 153 pounds, this is higher than any day I stayed. (I have notified the front desk one day before). I didn't think this make any sense as I could just pay the last day that I didn't stay and the cost would be less. Overall, I feel the experience is not so good.

A nice hotel in a very nice part of Cambridge, on the outskirts of the city so would require a bus/taxi or drive to get to the city centre. The hotel is located in an area that is still in development, so there was some distant background noise due to ongoing building works (you cannot hear it though when the window is shut). We checked-in smoothly and quickly, the hotel does tell you via an email to check in online beforehand to make it quicker and smoother, this process was easy and painless, I did it on the train on the way to the hotel. Once in the room, my partner and I did find it rather hot (it was the start of a week long heatwave with temps into the low to mid 30s) but we would at least wait to see if the aircon would cool the room down. Overnight, we were not able to get cool, we had to use our mini fans to cool down, which defeats the object of having aircon. Fortunately the hotel has a WhatsApp phone number that you can contact them on, we found this very useful and allows us to quickly ask questions or send out concerns and allows the hotel staff to respond, this is great way to communicate and address issues. We used the WhatsApp number to mention that the room was too hot and the air conditioning was not sufficiently cooling the room down to be comfortable. The next morning, a member of staff came and showed us to a new room. He did point out that the guest next door was being noisy on his phone, but we agreed to take the room, essentially so we could be more comfortable and cool down. We unpacked the case and settled in. The hotel offered us free breakfast, which was lovely, thank you for this kind gesture. Once we returned to the room after breakfast, we settled in the room to stay cool and do some reading, I decided to play the radio on low. We heard a loud bang and a voice shouting, we assumed it was due to the music. Knowing what we heard before, we reached out via the WhatsApp, we did not like the idea of having to tiptoe and not make a sound no matter how quiet we were in the middle of the day, we were certainly not playing loud thumping music but just trying to relax and stay cool. It then transpired that this guest next door had been causing issues through the night that even involved the police unknowing to us at the time. This actually made us quite anxious and made our stay a little uncomfortable for a different reason. The hotel was supportive and offered us another room, so we did have to uproot and pack, move and unpack a second time in the same day. The hotel did send apologies for putting us next to this volatile guest knowing what had already happened prior to our room move, but then again, the hotel was told the guest was safe, so no one is really at fault. At the end of the day, the staff listened to our concerns and aimed to put things right, so a big thank you. Rhys did pop along to explain and reassure us as to what had happened, thank you for doing that and for your previous support. From this point forward, the hotel was great. The room kept us cool throughout the heatwave when tempertures went into the 30s. The staff are very friendly, having WhatsApp does allow us to easily ask for extra pillows and also to fix a couple of issues such as a bulb that needed replacing. In addition, the hotel does allow you to have things delivered to you; they will keep them safe for you to collect. Also, we had a late delivery that arrived after checkout; the hotel kept the parcel safe so that a courier could pick up the parcel to send it on to my home address, thank you Andy for your help.

Having stayed at a few other Locke hotels in the UK, I was keen to try this one, just outside of Cambridge. We stayed for 2 nights and had a really enjoyable stay. The terrace room was great and the hotel is nicely decorated and a great place to stay. Although a 15 min drive away from the city centre. We rented Voi bikes to get around, which made the trip into the city centre less than 7 minutes! The surrounding area is beautiful and the big Sainsbury’s is very conveniently located. If you’d rather a peaceful stay outside of the touristy city, I would recommend! Great hotel, but some TLC is needed inside the rooms to warrant the price. Our room was not very clean, and we had a few maintenance issues, blocked bathroom sink (which we reported and was resolved the next day) dripping kitchen tap, and shower looked like it was clogged with hair/ draining slowly. I would recommend this hotel, but a note to Management please take more care to maintain rooms. I’ve never experienced these types of maintenance issues in hotels before, especially for £172 a night.

Not really what I expect for accommodation at this price. Cleaning on request should be included.||||The reception staff is a bit too casual. More proactive effort to make sure that clients have what they need would be appreciated. Not even asking me how many keys I require.||||Far away from everything in the city.||||Apartment was modern and well equipped.

We had just stayed at the Locke location in Lisbon and loved it, so booked a little trip to Cambridge so we could stay at Locke again. The pros: Spacious room with kitchenette and a good hairdryer and full length mirror. Great quiet area with coffee shops, rooftop bar, sainsburys, parks to walk around. Well located to the town centre as long as your happy to drive in/take a bus. Small but serviceable gym. Areas to improve: Our room was the only room basically on the whole floor with a broken outside light, quite a bad 1st impression and I just don’t know why you’d place guests in that room if it’s the only one on the floor like that?! Also had an adjoining room (locked internal door) that had a low continuous noise almost like white noise. V weird. Shower head hadn’t been cleaned properly so the water would spray in all directions. Shower had areas of black mould. Reception service could’ve been friendlier and more forthcoming with info, eg: validating key card for the gym, how to get to the rooftop as it’s quite a maze-like set up, etc. Knowing what we know now, we would probably stay again but with slightly adjusted expectations.
