"The Turks & Caicos National Museum The only museum on the Turks and Caicos Islands sits on the historic Front Street of Cockburn Town, on Grand Turk. OccupyingGuinep House, one of the area's oldest standing buildings, the museumdisplays artifacts from the Molasses Reef shipwreck, a sunken caravel found off West Caicos. The ship, which dates from the early 1500s, makes this is the oldest European wreck to be excavated in the Americas. Salvaged items on display include cannons, pieces of the ship's hull, and a variety of tools. There are also exhibits on local slavery and the indigenous Taino people who originally lived onthe islands."

Hidden gem on Grand Turk! The museum was included with our excursion (Panoramic Painting) via the cruise ship. Informative history and well laid out exhibits and displays. Found the video playing very interesting and room layouts were easy to navigate. Only reason I couldn't rate a 5 is I found the prices in the gift shop to be very high esp since locals literally down the street were selling the same items for less.

The Museum was a part of an Island Tour. It was a quaint little place packed with history about the island's roots. It's directly across from the ocean so the views are stunning. They had a food truck selling local food and children from the island sold beautiful handmade bracelets on the outside. Beautiful experience! My son's smile says it all❤️

Nice museum, where you can learn about the history of the islands. There's nothing interactive, just a small traditional museum, but interesting enough. No restrooms, though. Also, lots of vendors nearby (and free restrooms there) selling souvenirs. The view from the parking lot is beautiful, this turquoise water is just magnificent.

This and the light house make the day worth while. Details of the island history cannot be gained from tours alone. Best $5 you will spend. We rented a golf cart from the fellows outside the Cruise ship area and thoroughly enjoyed the island. This museum is an absolute must to understand any of the rest of the island. See it before the light house. the gentleman, if he is there, who sits under the stairs, is a wealth of current knowledge about the entire island nation. Water and a restroom are available, as well as a small souvenir shop with lots of cute stuff. It supports the museum.

Beautiful Museum. I loved the Gift Store. Very special and beautiful local items for sale. I bought some post cards here. 6 for $5. Everything was reasonably priced. This Island depends upon tourism and visitors. Lots of beautiful scenery to admire. This Museum is across the street from the Ocean. The Tram stopped across the street and I was able to visit. Burros are free to roam the Island. I bought many beautiful things here. Everyone loved the Island. It was a cruise favorite. The Admission price is affordable, $5. Yearly Admission available.

Wonderful staff! The museum was clean and easy to maneuver around. The gift shop had some really cool little doodads as well. I appreciate the A/C too! I went the first week of May and it was a hot day with no breeze.

Great little museum with all of the answers to your questions about the Turks and Caicos. Great stop and the are lovely hosts and very informative. The tour busses stop at the vendors a few hundred feet away and don't even let you know it is there.
