My wife and I had our honeymoon at Turneffe flats hoping for a vacation filled with world class fly fishing and the opportunity to dive the Belize coral reefs. Not only did this resort exceed our every expectation, but we left with new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. I asked for a great guide that could help teach my wife and to create a fun atmosphere where she could learn. We were lucky to fish with our guide, John who was outstanding and made the experience truly memorable. Despite windy conditions he was able to get us into fish and teach with great patience. My biggest takeaway was that I had so much to learn. We also went diving with captain George and dive master, Wasani! The guys are legends and showed us some of the best dives of our lives. The resort was beautiful, the food was good and the staff was terrific. It’s an amazing culture. We loved every minute of our staff and we will be back….. and Permit you can run but can’t hide!

We came to Turneffe Flats to fly fish. The experience we had was far better than what I expected. The staff was A#1! Very attentive, always smiling and just top notice. The food was outstanding! My favorite part was our fishing guide Mark! He was absolutely awesome! He has over 20 years of experience as a guide at Turneffe Flats and it showed! I got my first permit with him. He was always calm, cool and collected. From the first moment we stepped on his boat he told us he knew we could catch a permit! He was always positive and upbeat and that helped immensely. We will be going back and fishing we Mark!!! What a trip!

I made a 5-day solo dive trip to Turneffe before meeting my wife in San Pedro. I stayed in an ocean view room which was quite nice and provided spectacular views. The property was beautiful and well maintained. The food service was on point and the staff were warm and welcoming. Capt. George managed the dive boat and Wasani was our guide through the lively coral reefs and wall dives. The dives were top notch as was Capt. George and Wasani. Diving the Blue Hole was great, but was trumped by the dives at Half Moon Caye and Long Caye where we had four reef sharks running patrol around us for the entirety of the dive and crossed paths with a manta ray.

Spent a week at Turnefee Flats. I was diving. My wife did the adventure package. We both had great experience. ||Abel (the adventure guide) was liked by all and showed everyone great critters above and below water. He took great pictures as well and shared them with the group. ||The diving was great, too. Lots of wildlife variety and some quite rare sightings (like a feeding loggerhead turtle). Wasani (our dive master) and George (our captain) were friendly and organized and we never had to worry about gear. The boat was comfortable for the 3-6 divers that went out each day. This small group made the diving more fun and less hectic. ||Accommodations were a/c and comfortable. The food was generally well received. But go for the diving. |This is a hidden gem.

I was on the adventure package. I was a solo traveller but was made very welcome by all the other participants.|The snorkelling was great, Abel our leader and Caleb his sidekick were really knowledgeable and showed us creatures that we would never have spotted. Abel also took some fantastic pictures and downloaded them onto our phones in the evening which was magic that we could send them to our families to show what fantastic scenes we were treated to under the water. Also encountered a pod of dolphins on several days.|There was only one choice of food but it was all very enjoyable. Staff were really nice and another nice touch was the owners and managers sitting down with us at our evening meals.

Wow, the fishing was extraordinary! In three days of fishing caught countless bonefish, tarpon, & snook! John, our guide, was great. The cabins were modest but comfortable with decent beds and nice linens, plus very clean. The massage was world-class and extremely affordable. The owners are lovely people and most of the employees provided great service. The food was quite a disappointment as there were no options—one offering per meal, although when you went out on the boat for fishing they offered various selections of sandwiches. One person in our party has certain foods they must avoid and the kitchen was great to prepare altered or totally different items. We would go back due to the fabulous fishing.

The resort was beautiful. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Our fishing guide Mark Hyde was a top notch guide and put us on a lot of Permit, Tarpon and Bonefish. It was an incredible, lovely experience.

What a fantastic place. Wonderful facility. Terrific dive operation. They were highly skilled, caring with attention to every detail, especially safety and comfort. Captain always made special effort to find the most suitable sites based on conditions and our desires. The only time we dove the same site twice is if we specifically asked to -Dive master competent, helpful and knowledgeable. If we had any issues, he was on top of them. Almost before we had them, they really worked hard and seemed to love what they do. The fisherman that were there had similar glowing reviews with their crews. Even the people who went out snorkeling had an amazing experience - Thuer's guide was top-notch and pointed out things no one else had seen and got terrific photos that he shared with the participants. The staff and lodge operation were also top-notch - warm, friendly, and attentive. What was really amazing is their commitment to being eco-friendly - 76% of their power is solar, recycling, and composting. Water conservation and more- They even offer tours of their infrastructure - Really made you feel good about spending your time and $ with them. Turneffe Atoll diving was great. The entire Atoll is a very well-managed MPA that's managed and enforced by TASA ( Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association ). They protect, restore, educate, and enforce - well worth supporting. We will be back !
