This is most definitely NOT an adults only hotel, which you could easily miss when booking. There is a building which has rooms which are adults only, but this is about it. The majority of the complex is completely mixed.
Out of about 15 restaurants, just one is adults only, and one pool (Punta Vista, on the 3rd floor, infinity pool) is adults only. This could be a good place to relax, but they frequently play very loud music from 1pm and it also overlooks one of the two main pools, which is very noisy.
The rooms were pretty nice - spacious, big bed, big shower, double sinks, a very modern TV which you could cast from your device to. The balcony hot tub is a good idea but not worth the extra cost.
The food ranges from average to pretty good. Ultimately, it feels like the focus is more on quantity rather than quality. There are a great variety of options nonetheless, pretty much any cuisine you fancy, you can find a restaurant here which will cater to your needs. The live teppanyaki experience is good but fairly quick (about 45mins).
The gym is well equipped for both cardio and weights workouts. There are regular classes you can sign up for - we did pilates with Sofia and trampolining with Oscar. Both were great instructors, really helpful and a credit to the hotel. In general, all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa costs are ridiculously high.
Keeping dolphins captive for entertainment and profit is also pretty disappointing. Be a market leader and move on from this.
Overall somewhere between a 3 and a 3.5 rating.
