Turtle Beach by Elegant Hotels - All-Inclusive

Fantastic hotel with amazing staff. The food was excellent and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Only downside was that we couldn’t go in the sea all week due to red flags as it was extra windy, this wasn’t the hotel’s fault though! There were fantastic free activities such as paint and sip and the culinary tour. Special thanks to Angela for making the culinary tour one of the high points of our holiday. I can’t wait to see what happens with the refurb and would love to go back. Really can’t recommend this place enough, we absolutely loved it.

I love the beach section of this area. The water is very calm and relaxing to be in. 100 feet in either direction and you can body board or surf. Great Place to hang out!!

Currently staying here for one week with my husband and we are having an incredible time. The location of the hotel is perfect for going out into the gap in the evenings and for the Oistins Fish Fry, which the hotel provide a shuttle bus to at a reasonable cost. ||The only reason I’ve not selected 5 stars is because some of the facilities are in need of a bit of refresh, however we were fully aware of the hotel closing for refurbishment this month when we booked it and really look forward to seeing what they do with the place. ||The staff are all friendly and helpful, I’ve seen a few negative reviews about staff being cold towards guests, but from what I’ve experienced, as long as you are kind and courteous, it’s what you’ll receive in return. Joy C who does the lunch service is a lovely waitress and a credit to the hotel, we were very disappointed to see another guest be incredibly rude towards her at lunch but the manager seemed to manage the situation well, the only negativity I have seen in the hotel has been from this guest having no manners what so ever! Special shout out to all of the bar staff as well who are very friendly. The ladies who work in the activities centre are also very helpful. ||The rooms are good and kept extremely tidy, with super comfortable beds. An absolute highlight of this stay has been the food, everything has had INCREDIBLE flavour and as a pescatarian, I’ve had a great choice of options. Breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets are fantastic and the Italian al la carte was delicious with very good waitresses as usual. The coffee and ice cream shop is also really good and plenty of choice for afternoon snacks between meals. ||There is a watersports offering but we’ve not been so lucky with high winds this week but it’s a great complimentary addition to the hotels offerings. Overall we’re really enjoying our stay here and would love to come back again when the renovation is complete.

Just returned from an amazing stay at turtle beach. We had a great time, I would highly recommend it. My only negative was the check in which in my opinion was slow and some what unorganised. |However it did not detract from the rest of the holiday. |The staff were all lovely from the bar staff to the waiters, the porters and the team who serviced our room, they couldn’t have been more helpful. A big thanks to the activity staff who were amazing and helped us plan our trips and arrange car hire. A shuttle bus is available from the hotel to oistins fish fry on a Friday which is not to be missed and also to Bridgetown for a 4 hour stay. Both reasonably priced with lovely drivers who gave a bit of information on the way about the island. |The food was delicious, plenty of choice, with the option of a buffet or al a carte. There is an ice cream parlour , and coffee shop. The mint lemonade and vanilla frappe both delicious . Lovely cocktails served at the beach bar but the staff or happy to make what ever you request. |The hotel sits on Dover beach a gorgeous stretch of soft white sand. It was windy while we were there so red flags were out but a paddle in the warm Caribbean Sea was still ok, not safe for swimming but the pools were lovely and warm for a swim. |The hotel itself self is in need of some TCL this did not in away effect the holiday it was fabulous and I look forward to our next visit to see what’s been done to it.

We had the most amazing time at Turtle Beach Hotel over the Christmas. Like other visitors in the lead-up to our holiday, I was concerned having read all the negative reviews however it turned out to be a fantastic place. Yes, the hotel is in need of a refurbishment which is planned but the room was spacious and spotless, cleaned meticulously every day and mini bar stocked daily. The beds were extremely comfortable. We had a sea-view room and the view was simply breath-taking. The beach is beautiful and my husband and son spent the week surfing right here on the beach. The food was delicious, the buffet was better than any of the 5 star all-inclusive hotels we've stayed in in Europe. The food in the Sand Trap Restaurant was the perfect place for lunch, make sure to try the Burgers which were excellent. Then the Italian restaurant felt like a really special treat every time we visited, it's a beautiful colonial-style balcony room and the food was superb. The gym is excellent, the ice-cream parlour and coffee shop are lovely. I was a little bit apprehensive about spending our first Christmas away from home as I love to celebrate Christmas but it turned out that the Bajan's love Christmas too and the celebrations and entertainment in the hotel were top class. Last but not least I want to echo what a lot of other reviewers have said i.e. it's the staff that made our experience so much more special and enjoyable. Special thanks and call out to: Renaldo our surf coach, Randall for the Bajan Bus and neighbourhood walking tour, and Karen for all the fun and dancing on the Bajan Bus tour, Maradona for the excellent beach side bar service, Sydney for a wonderful cocktail and heart warming laugh, Winston and Tyrone for their service and bar wisdom. Thanks to all the kitchen and restaurant staff, they were amazing. Big shout out to Cheryl for the fun at breakfast. Marriot may improve the property and facilities but its the warm and friendly staff that make this place.

Beautiful view, large room with sea view. Fridge isn't stocked unless you have a different package. Great food, dining area was full of birds, if you leave your food unattended it would be contaminate entertainment was ok.

I said to my wife after New Year we need to be re-energised and get some sun and say farewell to all our family at Turtle Beach. So 17th visit over 17 years, we were back for 10 nights.|Jo Ann,Tanya and Karene and all of the staff, thank you once again for a superb stay. Food, drink, beach, entertainment and rooms fabulous. Maradonna the one and only, Beach Ambassador supremo, always there to please.|After 17 years I thank you all for providing my wife and I and family members over the years, Jack and Emily, wonderful ,kind and efficient service, always. I used to arrive for two weeks exhausted, and take a week to unwind, then party, dive ,eat and drink too much. However I always went home reinvigorated, happy and positive to get back to slog and hard work. I am now retired and I chilled this time in minutes of drinking that first Turtle Beach Rum Punch.|We all want to be there in your reopening fortnight and enjoy Turtle Beach hospitality.Please keep us posted, cannot wait.

We had a great experience celebrating our Wedding and Honeymoon at Turtle Beach Resort! The place wasn't full at all in the beginning of June, it looked like it was out of season, so we could enjoy our private space and the availability of everything. There was a beautiful variety of birds, flowers, and crabs—the amazing nature we came to Barbados for. The only thing - we prefer the beach more than the pool, but this part of the island wasn't as smooth as the western side, seaweed was annoying. But in general - we loved our trip!
