Turtle Island is more than just a destination — it’s a feeling. I proposed to Esmeralda here, surrounded by turquoise waters and white sand that feels like powder. She said yes! 💍 And in that moment, we knew this island would forever be part of our story.||From the instant we arrived, the incredible staff made us feel like family. Their warmth, laughter, and genuine care turned every day into something special. They didn’t just serve us — they connected with us, remembered our names, and made us feel completely at home in paradise. We had our own Bure Mama (Laveti) who looked after every need we had.||The food was absolutely outstanding — every meal was a masterpiece. Fresh, local ingredients, perfectly cooked seafood, and flavors that could rival any five-star restaurant. Dining under the stars with the ocean breeze and Fijian music in the background was simply unforgettable.||Turtle Island is breathtakingly beautiful — the turquoise lagoons, lush gardens, and soft white beaches are like something out of a dream. But what makes it truly magical is the people. Their kindness, joy, and heart make this place feel alive.||We left Turtle Island with full hearts, full stomachs, and a lifetime memory. It’s not just a resort — it’s a home you’ll dream of returning to.||We are very happy we chose this place for our special moment.

My husband and I just returned from Turtle Island and it was the most incredible trip ever - the culture and beauty will never be forgotten but the genuine hearts and love of people was so inspiring. We met so many wonderful people at Turtle - all with amazing pasts, living abroad and sharing of their lives. Inspired and ready to return to see the Turtle Island Family again - keep singing bold and dancing beautifully! The grounds are breathtaking from the Joinery to the vegetable/fruit gardens to the beaches - oh and the sunset cruise, the kids from neighboring village singing for us, incredible food, and the nightly fun kava ceremonies - we can’t wait to be back! We have already booked our return for family time in December 2026. Can’t wait to see our Mama Nina, Meme, Bill and the entire Turtle family. Bula!||My wife and I recently returned from our trip to Turtle Island, where we celebrated our honeymoon, which was beyond magical and shattered all expectations. The beauty and family on Turtle Island make one feel as if they are thrust into a childhood dream made reality in a vibrant kaleidoscope of colors, while simultaneously being wrapped in a warm, loving embrace that can only come from a loving family. There is magic that exists when surrounded by the ever-present smiling hearts, singing voices, and turquoise waters that make you forget the harshness of reality and release yourself into the moment to experience a world that is made more special when shared with the entire Turtle Island Family.||The Turtle Island Family, comprising travelers and residents (a special shout-out to all our new family members from around the globe), shared their experiences with one another, making each moment special and unique. From meeting at the communal table to share stories of life and island exploits, or just enjoying the fabulous meals that were fresh, vibrant, and seasoned with the expertise that can only take place when a master chef/baker loves what they do and does what they love. The island family residents; chatting with Bill (Love the shirt exchange…I will be looking for a new shirt to exchange with you next time), Mere, whose singing brightens the day, Ruvi (whose stories, singing, and laughter are truly infectious), Dockman enjoying the Subnado's with me and ensuring we all understood the majesty of the Turtle Board, Philip the master of diving, and last but not least Mama Nina who was my Kava partner and always brought the Bula...with a smile...so smile Mama. There are too many family members to list, but every single person brings a smile to our faces.||The list of amazing activities is too long to write, but a few special memories for us were made in dominating at clam hunting and hand line fishing (shout out to Susan), snorkeling in waters so clear and vibrant with tropical colored species that it was mind-blowing, and a myriad of other things that I don't want to spoil...let's just say there were tears of joy almost every day from how our family made our honeymoon absolutely unforgettable. Seriously, there must have been telepathy used to WOW us continuously. Turtle Island allows you to do and experience as much or as little as you want... it allows you to simply be. ||Finally, there are only 2 rules at Turtle Island (which we will keep going in perpetuity):|1. From the moment we step off the seaplane we fell in love with Turtle Island. While the island itself is breathtaking it was immediately communicated to us that we were family. Every staff member knew our names and embraced us. Having traveled all around the world, Turtle Island exceeded all our expectations. The food, activities, other guests and most importantly the staff ( family) made this the most memorable trip we have ever taken. We have already booked our return and can hardly wait to get back to the most beautiful place we have ever seen.|Marika and Sue

Bula!!! A lifetime experience. My wife and I visited the island to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We were given a warm welcome with beautiful sining by the staff as my wife was carried off the seaplane (tradition) by staff dress in traditional Liku skirts. Wonderfull Group meals and private beach picnics were the daily norm with a sundry of activites ranging from scuba diving, cave snorkling, bike riding, hiking, and all kinds of fishing. Its great to see the guests come in with the fish to share with all. The limited number of Bures (15) provided a very stress free atmosphere and the Burie Moma or Papa assigned to the each Bure coordinates each day for you and arranges special items. We were surprised by a group of staff who visited us at a private beach to sing for us and provided a personalized cake to celebrate our anniversary. Wow..I can't say enough good about our burie mama as well as the staff in general. There are only two rules on this island. 1. Smile, 2. Refer to rule #1. Vinaka,

Our time at Turtle Island Resort during Christmas “Family Time” was nothing short of extraordinary. What truly sets this island apart is the incredible staff—their warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail made every single moment feel special and truly relaxing. The service was intuitive and genuine, and the team made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. We already miss hearing “Bula” from everyone you pass by on the island. The joy you see from the entire staff (both the front of house and back of house) is contagious. Turtle Island does a fantastic job of setting up Family Time. We enjoyed a nice balance of being together as a family, and enjoying communal dinners and kava where we became friends other guests while allowing our 4-year old son to thrive at the Family Village. Serious Bob and his team do an incredible job setting up activities for the kids – our son loved the crab hunt, clam digging, horseback riding (a huge thank you to Philip!), playing soccer and building sandcastles. It didn’t take long for our son to ask us to go hang out at the village instead of being with us. His Bula Buddies Qerry and Saula were amazing. He really got attached. I was pretty bummed when he requested to ride on a horse with Qerry instead of me to the top of the mountain. I also saw this with other Bula Buddies as well – their kids loved them. Every experience was thoughtfully curated and deeply personal. Our favorites were the perfectly arranged picnics on the private beaches, line fishing (we caught a white snapper and it was prepared for our lunch that day), snorkeling in the beautiful blue lagoon, Family Fun Day at Long Beach, and the kava ceremonies where we got to know the staff. The Christmas morning celebration was particularly exceptional and seeing Santa ride up on a horse brought a tremendous smile to our son’s face. The food and drinks were outstanding. The nightly menu and experiences varied, were always beautifully prepared and consistently delicious, adding yet another layer to an already exceptional experience. We wanted to add a special thank you to mama Laite who took care of us during our stay. We truly enjoyed meeting you and will never forget your wonderful laugh! Turtle Island is a rare place where luxury and family connection come together seamlessly. We are already dreaming about our return when Nash is a few years older. Sote Tale to the entire Turtle Island team—you are truly unforgettable.

My family had the best Christmas week at Turtle Island. They went above and beyond to personalise it for us and make it special. Our 2 and 3 year old were well taken care of by their nannies and our husband and I were able to enjoy every evening alone. We also had a trip to a private beach everyday. Our daughter wondered where everyone else was! We said, we are so lucky to have a beach to ourselves and had lunch there too that was prepared for us. We will be back!

The best vacation we have ever taken! We were celebrating Michelle’s birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary. You are truly part of the family when you visit Turtle Island. From the moment you arrive, the entire staff know you by name. Our Bure was huge, clean and super comfortable. It was nice to relax in the in room jacuzzi after an afternoon at the beach. The snorkeling is spectacular and we enjoyed several of the private beaches throughout the week. There are plenty of activities of you like to stay active. Kayaking, paddle boarding, line fishing, deep sea fishing, crab hunts, mountain biking, archery, horseback riding. Even a trip to a neighboring village. The Bures are very private and quiet. Another highlight of the trip was the nightly Kava with the staff and the other guests. The best part of the whole experience was the people. The staff are all incredibly friendly, positive and full of joy. It is infectious and while sad to go when the trip is over, you leave feeling full of joy and hope. An absolutely wonderful experience from the time we stepped off the plane, were greeted by the staff, and taken to the seaplane port. To the incredible welcome once at the island and the non-stop joy and hospitality while we were there. It was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely be back again in the future.
