I originally heard about this island 20 years ago, when Britney honeymooned with Kevin Federline there. When she came back home, she did interviews raving about her experience there. And the way she described it, I knew I had to see for myself. It took 20 years, but I finally made it. ||Turtle Island is so magical, it’s hard to put into words. From the singing upon your arrival, to the sweet voices of the children’s choir, to them singing to you outside your front door, to the singing you hear in church, to your send off by singing, the Fijian people have it right. I felt as if I was being serenaded by angels, and I felt the presence of God there. ||That’s one thing I decided I was going to come back home with…to remember that something as simple as singing - whether doing it ourselves or listening to someone else - will instantly turn our day around. ||The immersion into the Fijian culture is what I can only describe as truly beautiful, because the staff make it so. They are the most humble, honest, helpful, caring, and genuine people I have ever met. ||We came during family time, with my son, and he absolutely loved it. His bula buddy and him connected instantly, and by the first night my son was telling me that he loved his buddy Saula. After that, I have to say I didn’t see much of my son, only because of the great care they were taking of him. He was drawn in just as much as I was, and wanted to absorb every second of it. ||I can go on and on, but it definitely is the place once discovered, never forgotten. You’ll cry when it’s time to go. You’ll want to come back. And they have a great return program that makes it easier for you to do so.
