Food • Lentil Soup – 7.5/10: Smooth and fresh, could use a bit more flavor. • Mozzarella Sticks – 9/10: Perfectly crispy. • Pita Bread – 10/10: Great alone or with dips; loved the crunch. • Chicken Shawarma – 10/10: Seasoned beautifully. Even the salad that had tomatoes (which I normally avoid) were delicious. The rice gave halal-cart vibes in the best way. • Lamb Chops – 8.5/10: Initially undercooked, but George fixed it immediately. Came back flavorful and paired well with the rice and tahini dip. • Strawberry Banana Smoothie – 9/10: Super fresh. • Lemonade – 10/10: Perfect sweet–sour balance. My partner ordered another to go. Service - Top tier. George was incredibly kind, respectful, and generous. Since we aren’t accustomed to eating Mediterranean food we appreciated him explaining the dips and bringing samples of babaghanouji, tahini, and even hummus. He was attentive the entire time. Atmosphere - Small, cozy, and warm. The instrumental music gave medieval vibes in a really charming way. We’d definitely recommend this spot.

Have been coming to this neighborhood gem for a long time, even when it was under previous ownership. The food is delicious, the service is very friendly and welcoming, and there is usually plenty of comfortable seating. I've done dine in and take out - I would only say that their fresh baked pita is so delicious when it comes out of the oven that it's worth dining in to experience it.

This place is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. We originally stopped by just to grab something quick, but ended up staying because of the warm service and how amazing the dishes looked. And we’re so glad we did. The food was delicious and the service was even better. We left happy and will definitely come back on our next visit to NYC!

We got a meet samples, and after trying I understood why this place has such high rating. The meat was perfectly freshlycooked (not just heated previously cooked).

An excellent Mediterranean restaurant. Their in-house baked pitas are to die for. The Hummus and Babaganous were quite good as was the falafel. My favorite dish on our first visit was the lamb adana kabob. They also have wonderful smoothies. The service was great and the staff was very helpful. We will certainly return and would not hesitate to recommend Tutt Heights Cafe to anyone seeking a quality Mediterranean eatery.

I was treated really well here. It’s a charming restaurant. The food is really good. I’m not used to New York pricing so the food was $40 for their popular plate and a dessert.

Close but off the beaten path so nice place to grab some food and drinks. The server was lovely. The food was great and well priced. Sat outside, there are a few tables on the street and enjoyed the sunshine. The falafel plata was delicious

Run don't walk!! This place definitely punches above its weight when it comes to flavor. The chicken was perfectly charred with a nice smokey flavor, the lamb was juicy and well-seasoned, the hummus and baba ganoush were a great accompaniment to the meats, and the pita was warm and fluffy. What more could you ask for? Don't be fooled by how calm and quiet this place is. If I'm ever in the area, I'll definitely be ordering here again.

This is a hidden gem, for sure. This is my second time here and it didn't disappoint. The food is delicious and service outstanding. The host was so kind and attentive. He makes you feel so welcome and at home. And for a restaurant located in Brooklyn Heights, the prices are amazing! I wish I lived closer, because I would be there a few times a week. Will be back whenever I'm in the neighborhood.

Excellent food tonight from Tutt Heights. Lightening fast preparation. Huge Shepherd salad portion size - nice and fresh - wish it had included some more Sumac seasoning. Not spicy at all. I appreciated the low salt level. Added my own. Tutt offers high quality fresh food and deserves its high ratings -- large portions are a feature also mentioned by other reviewers. I was looking for a healthier alternative to the local gyro food truck, I dislike it when places pile on the oil and fat. Tutt heights serves food as if it were homemade. Not greasy or super fatty. The chicken kabob pita had big pieces, the bread was very fresh. Overall good value.

We had the hummus with fresh pita it was amazing and the pita lamb gryo with spicy sauce that was so fresh felt like I was In Greece A gem of a find !!!!!

Tutt Heights is a cozy restaurant serving fresh and delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. The Chicken Tutt dish is a must have. The chicken is incredibly seasoned and flavorful, served with rice and hummus. You also choose between baba ghanouj or salad. It is quite a lot of food at a very reasonable price. Service is also attentive and friendly. The front counter has a showcase of pastries - try the baklava! 4 stars...

Delicious food and huge portions, especially for the price! Very affordable for the area too. Food was not complicated- the chicken shish kebab plate had only 5 pieces of chicken, but they're 4-bite-each sized chunks. Mediterranean salad was so fresh, and SO much extra chicken, only for $5 but enough for 2 people (incredible value). The labne was also refreshing and filling. The homemade pita blew me away - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. One thing I will note was while it wasn't busy even on a Friday night, they had 1-2 waiters/food runners on staff and were also taking online/phone orders at the same time, so it took a long time to take orders and bring out waters. Food came out quickly though and we weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal. We left dinner so full and so satisfied. Very happy with our spontaneous decision to stop by. Definitely would recommend!

We came across this restaurant while heading back from Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was located on a nice, quiet street. It was for a late lunch, wasn't busy. The staff was nice, had a mom and pop vibe. I really enjoyed all the food here, the dip and bread were delicious! The salad was fresh, I really liked the feta cheese on the salad. And the combo dish flavors were great. Serving sizes were big as well!

Walked over from Brooklyn Bridge Park and glad we found this place! Located in a nice, quiet area, they had a lot of open seating and felt like a mom and pop restaurant with good service to match. Ordered the Combination Kebab with Chicken Tutt and Lamb Adana Combo. This was served with rice and hummus and salad ( lettuce, onion, tomatoes, green peppers, dressing ) and fresh pita. The combination of all this together was tasty and filling. The pita and hummus were delicious and the owner gave additional sauce to go with the meats too. Been wanting to try kunafa and was pleasantly surprise to see it on the menu! It was a sweet custard-like texture in the middle with a bit of crunchy bits on top. I really enjoyed it and so did the whole table Overall would recommend this place, especially if you're in the area

Best pita ever! Baked fresh to order and a delicious add-on to the 5 Cold Salad Platter: We chose hummus, baba-g, foul, feta salad & grape leaves. All made in-house from family recipes and the flavors really showed thru. A short walk from the DUMBO ferry launch & worth every bite!

Loved the food - the chicken tutt was great! Cashiers were really nice, and I love the ambiance of the place.

To start, my husband had the harira soup which came with what he said was absolutely delicious pita bread (which tasted homemade). He also had the falafel combo which really looked scrumptious -- served with babaganouj and hummus. He said that although both were good, the babaganouj was best -- I had it too on my chicken tutt. I thought that was okay, but the salad was great. It's crazy we have passed this place for years and this was the first time we visited -- but I really look forward to going back. They frequently have open tables and take-out seems to be a thing too. Best of all, it is low-key -- without the craziness of the touristy places a few blocks away. Here's to a next visit!

We had an amazing night here last night! Six of us came here for dinner. The service was exquisite and the food was very good. The ambiance was quiet and very laid back. A casual spot that we will become a go-to.

Had the pizza it was ok, the cheese was strange, the sauce was not that good either. The service was really good the wait staff is super. The place is not fancy but a local cafe. In don't think I will go back .

I ordered online through their website for pickup for a work meeting and the order was ready even quicker than expected. The food was fresh, delicious and authentic. Everyone loved the food. We had meat combos, pita, hummus, salad, baba ganoush, and falafel. I had the extra bonus of picking up the order and getting to chat with the welcoming staff. It was a great comfortable and casual atmosphere. The drink selection in the refrigerator was impressive you could purchase whole bottles of wine, beers, ciders and unique soft drinks and juices. Everyone loved my selections. Would order and dine in again in a heartbeat.

Great place for a quick bite or simple get together. Outdoor dining as well as indoor available offering beer and wine. Not fancy by any means-more like a very original cafe with great Mediterranean food. One of the best falafels Ive had in a while and great pitas, hummus, gyro platters and salads. Great service also!

So glad I came across this place (note for delivery). Excellent chicken shish kebab, very well seasoned, and an enormous amount. The rice was flavorful and a good portion for salad and hummus. The bread is to die for, it was warm and soft. My friend ordered the lamb gyro platter, they were raving about it. Not salty (like many other places) and good seasoning. Don't hesitate to order from this place!!

Got the beef Kafta plate. Wow. Best ive had. The pita also mmm. Highly recommend getting the tahini and chili sauce on the side. Definitely be back. Great spot to visit before hitting the waterfront park

What a lovely place!! I've passed by Tutt Heights many times and finally made the decision to try it out, and I'm so happy I did. First off, some very important notes: - They bake their own pita bread fresh for every order! Right after I placed my order, I watched them shape the dough and bake it. Sooo good, chewy, and obviously super fresh (there is nothing worse than a stale pita). - This rivals as the best falafel I've ever had. If you like falafel, please order this. - The kofta was sooo good. Really moist, flavorful, perfectly cooked... a must order. It came with a really fresh salad and excelled babaganoush - While we waited outside, the server brought us water (and for our dog!!). It was very hospitable and sweet. - They also included a piece of baklava that was excellent. This was a really great experience at a long time Brooklyn Heights establishment. The prices are excellent (they could charge more, no?), friendly service, and fresh delicious food cooked perfectly. I will definitely be ordering from Tutt Heights on a frequent basis! Also to note, this restaurant is Egyptian, and they serve some classic dishes like foul and kanafeh.

Falafel combo was great, was lots of food for the price. The Falafel and hummus were the best. Service was helpful, and food came out quick too. Exactly the Mediterranean fix I was hoping for.

We placed an order via Grubhub from Tutt Cafe and picked up at assigned time. The order process was not smooth because it got canceled and duplicated when we were picking up our order. The staff was friendly but not familiar with the issues caused by Grubhub which was frustrating. It was fixed in the end by Grubhub but was time-consuming. We had their Green Pitza, Leg of Lamb Plate and Baklava. The food was decent especially the leg of lamb. The lamb was cooked properly with no gamey taste even my husband who hates lamb finished his plate. We were disappointed with their baklava which was not the best in our experience and the filling was way too little.

A gem in Brooklyn Heights. Close to the entrance to the promenade. Ordered the chicken Tutt... a wrap with grilled chicken (tender, juicy, flavorful) and salad. It's sizable. Also had an avocado shake... delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly. Restaurant is comfortable and clean. Some outdoor tables as well. Beautiful street. One of my most enjoyable lunches in a long time.

Okay customer service, food is fresh, cook is weirdly creepy, always checking out the girls that go up to the register. Never had a problem with their food. Just a bit weirded out by the cook in the back.

What a hidden gem!!! I worked in DUMBO for 2 years, and I wish I knew about this place then. I would've come here for lunch every day! They offer a ome of the tastiest chicken kebab and pita that I've ever had, amazing rice, and great coffee! Very reasonably priced and the gentleman who I assume is the owner is so kind and helpful despite them being so busy with pick up orders. If you sit down, you can have table service, which was what I did with a friend. I can't wait to come back and try a gyro and some falafel. Mmm

What a delightful little gem.... Stopped in on a Friday afternoon March 12, 2001... Remember that second delightful day of 2021? Sun is shining the wind was still the sky is clear blue not a cloud to be seen and in jumps this café asas a quiet little oasis in a day that doesn't even need an oasis. The family that runs the place is delightful the food is super quite high quality and the vibe really really chill.

AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE!!! This meal was perfect from start to finish. The hummus was rich and creamy, clearly freshly made. Lamb was tender and succulent. Chicken schawarma had some seasonings on it that made me wish I knew the secret. If I lived in Brooklyn I would totally be a regular. And best of all - everything you see below was $22 before tax. Huge portions and amazing food.

The three best foods at this longtime BK Heights spot: - their creamy labneh: unstoppable good, packed with flavor - their hummus: I'm not a big hummus fan but this one is really well balanced and dotted with olive oil - their hot, homemade pita bread: dip in the labneh and it's especially heavenly On a warm day, the outdoor seating here is prime and the service is kind and lets you stay a while.

I love this place and I'm glad it's still here after all these years. I think the food is perfect and especially love the Shawarma.

Solid spot for a decent meal. Prices are reasonable. Quality is high, not much else needed. Ordered in so not sure what the ambiance is like but definitely order the lentil soup. Tastes like home.

Always great food. Need some patience as it sometimes take longer than expected to get your food but it's always fresh and flavorful so definitely worth it. The manager/owner (?) is super nice.

This place is one of the more better value places to eat in Brooklyn Heights that also doubles well for a takeout spot. As for food, the pistachio baklava ($2.50) is so good and I'd def recommend that over the almond one. Then for my entree I had the chicken pitza ($12) and it didn't hit the mark like I hoped it would even though the reviews are great on here. Maybe they can add a bit more cheese or a lil extra sauce. I had takeout so I can't speak to the onsite dining experience but the staff seemed nice and efficient. Overall, it makes me happy to see this place in Brooklyn Heights as a contrast to the other restaurants.

Not me waiting in line with a menu and a drink for five minutes for them to greet the white woman behind me after I walked out lol. Should've seen my face when I heard "Hello!" as I stand outside the restaurant door. I whipped my head so quickly to see who he was talking to just to hear the woman behind me greet them back. You could've AT LEAST waited until I was out of sight. I even heard it through my AirPods. It's the disregard for me. I really wanted to try that ginger passionfruit drink too. I went to old faithful Heights Falafel instead.

I had a lamb kebab sandwich, and I did my best to find some pieces of meat inside the sandwich.

Tutt Cafe is amazing, it feels so homey and is so so so good. Super friendly and cheery people here. But the food.. The green pitza is the greatest most interesting pizza you'll ever try (leeks, scallions, fenugreek mix topped with lots of cheese). My boyfriend exclaimed it was the best pizza he's ever had. Also had zaatar bread, a little more oily than usual, but still really good. I got it with the baba ganoush, spread it on the zaatar bread and it is heavenly. They serve it with some pita bread....really fresh and delicious. Cant wait to go back and try more of this amazing food.

The chicken pizza was great. It is a very famous place and a very delish dishes. Absolutely incredible chicken shawarma and lamb gyro. Great portion sizes and excellent fresh baked pita.

After researching yelp for Middle Eastern places in Brooklyn Heights settled on Tutt Cafe. When you walk into Tutt Cafe it's a little confusing because it is essentially a Middle Eastern Pizza place. Imagine pizzeria with Middle Eastern spice smells and some Middle Eastern art works on the walls. The pictures say a lot about the atmosphere of the place, not ambiance, but atmosphere. The pictures in the frames are super weathered and look as if they have been through a really bad rain storm. Expect it to be humid and sort of warm. There's sort of waiter service but not really. The waiter service was just one of the guys behind the counter. Don't expect service to be good. The service is very slow. For drinks we got water and cold mint tea. The best thing is there is a little tiny cooler filled with ice next to the drinks on the left hand side of the restaurant towards the counter area. That's where they scoop out the ice! It was pretty silly and I had a good laugh. We ordered falafel as an appetizer, which I would not recommend. Dry, underseasoned and actually pretty small portion for how much you pay. The sandwich and plates on the other hand are quite a deal with pretty sizeable portions but the food itself is really just average. The plate comes with the meat you chose, a small salad and hummus or baba ghanoush. Would definitely come back but to try the pizzas people rave about or get another plate.

Read all the great reviews, but was pretty disappointed by them when I had food delivered to my office. The portion sizes were generous, but the food was just okay. The mixed salad was boring. It came with 5 types of things - we got 2 different types of chickpeas, a regular salad, stuffed grape leaves, and hummus. The pita was good. Also split the mixed grill. The rice was bland. The pork chops were too burnt. The lamb was the best part, but not extraordinary in any way. They also didn't give us any hot sauce. Maybe you have to ask specifically? Tutt Cafe may be better if you actually go there, but I won't be ordering delivery from them again.

Took my friend here tonight for dinner. I raved about this place to my friend, but when we came here, it was a different experience. It took the server a bit of time to clean the tables outside for us to sit. We were seated after waiting 10 minutes or so. The place was fairly empty. The sever gave us our menus. We ordered beers and 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, 1 pitta and grilled chicken wings. We waited for more than 1 hour to get our appetizers. We had to flag down the server to get our appetizers. My friend ended up going inside to ask the server for our appetizers. The appetizers finally came, but the server did not provide utensils. My friend came inside to get us utensils. At this point, we were extremely mad that it took us so long to get our appetizers. My friend's entree came and the dish consisted of 4 chicken wings, salad and French fries. The food was not what my friend ordered. At this point, we were frustrated that it took over an hour to get 3 appetizers and a missed up entree. My friend went into complain but the workers did not offer an apology or explained why the food took so long. This place should have zero stars.

Absolutely great food. However, when the $17 shish kabaab entree becomes $25 overnight, it's time to speak up and take action. The price of chicken, lamb, rice, lettuce, and chickpeas has not fluctuated that much to justify this extreme increased. Also and generally, adding a debit card fee to the totals adds insult to injury. I am suspending my visits for the next 3 months. Also,
