Tuvana Hotel, Antalya, Turkey - Explore & Book

"One of the fastest growing cities in Turkey, Antalya is busy and booming: a necklace of low-rise development spreading along the Mediterranean shore, against a backdrop of Taurus Mountain peaks. But beneath the city’s resort hotels and tree-lined shopping boulevards, there are layers of history - Hellenistic, Seljuk, Ottoman - and its old-town heart remains almost unchanged. Kaleici (meaning Roman Fortress) is a walled labyrinth of narrow, car-free back-streets, steps and alleyways; cafés and carpet shops; fountains of bougainvillea trailing from jasmine-scented gardens. On a hillside above the harbour, this traditional old-town hotel sits right in the historic zone, providing a great stopover or a short break. It consists of three listed buildings (the original, the former home of an Ottoman officer, has been in the same family since the early 19th century). All are half-timbered, with jettied upper storeys, and beautifully restored. There are 46 rooms, a handful of restaurants and a bar, and a pool. The town beach is 5-minute walk; ancient remains at Side, Aspendos, Termessos and Olympos can be seen in a day trip. Highs Central location on quiet side street in historic zone between Ataturk Caddesi (the main shopping street) and the seaThe service, presided over by efficient manageress Nermin, is warm and attentivePretty gardens linked by cool pebbled courtyards shaded with fruit trees (orange, lemon, banana, plum and pomegranate) Easygoing shorts-and-sandals atmosphereGood quality, unpretentious Turkish food served indoors or out Lows Some of the rooms are on the small side and only 6 have any private outside space The pool area smacks of package-holiday hotel and can be busy - but, hey, the sea is just down the roadPiped elevator music throughout the hotel can be a little tiresome (though it is optional in the rooms)As is usual in Turkey, smoking is permitted just about everywhere - ask for a smoke-free room" - Lesley Gillilan

The hotel itself has a pleasant atmosphere and the grounds are attractively presented, creating a charming first impression. We stayed in a Superior Room, which was nicely furnished. Unfortunately, maintenance left much to be desired: the toilet flush did not work properly and, despite raising the issue, it was never repaired. Instead, we were offered to move to a smaller room. The bathroom light also flickered, which was inconvenient. More concerning, however, was that we found cockroaches in the room and even noticed one in the foyer – something that made us feel very uncomfortable in terms of hygiene. The minibar was also vastly overpriced. Breakfast was acceptable, though the overall quality felt rather cheap and underwhelming for a hotel of this standard. We dined at the in-house fine dining restaurant; while the food itself was of good quality, the pricing was far too high for what was offered. The same applied to the hotel’s two other restaurants. The service varied greatly depending on the staff – ranging from attentive and helpful to indifferent. On a more positive note, the pool area was clean and pleasant. At night, however, it could become quite noisy due to music and voices from outside, especially at weekends. Overall impression: A charming hotel with character and a lovely setting. Unfortunately, our room was poorly maintained, and the hygiene issues made us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, and while the restaurants serve good food, the prices are excessive for the quality provided. Sadly, the stay did not live up to our expectations.

Tuvana Hotel is perfectly situated to explore the old town of Antalya. It is small but nicely historic with a pool, loungers and outside bar which was perfect for winding down after sightseeing. Arriving late, the welcome was friendly and there were plenty of bars and places nearly to eat and grab some food, Breakfast was served in the Seraser restaurant in another old building with a courtyard setting. Lovely choice of food but the orange juice could be freshly squeezed which it didn't seem to be. AC was included and there was plenty of hot water.

Absolutely beautiful hotel right in the centre of the Old Town. You could not be closer to all the shops and restaurants in this beautiful hotel. The service was superb. They have an absolute stunning pool which is a little oasis amongst all the humdrum of the town, where you can really relax. They also have deals with local restaurants where you get 10% off. The rooms were really well proportioned and ours had a lovely balcony. If you are visiting Antalya, do book this wonderful hotel.

Charming Hidden Gem in the Heart of Antalya’s Old Town We had a wonderful stay at Tuvana Hotel, beautifully tucked away in the heart of Antalya’s historic old town. The atmosphere is truly unique—elegant antique decor throughout the property gives it a warm, timeless feel that sets it apart from any other hotel we've stayed in. We chose one of the smaller two-person bedrooms. It came with a nice balcony. The swimming pool and surrounding garden area are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. It felt like a peaceful little oasis in the middle of town. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. We especially appreciated the free private parking, which made things super convenient since we had our own rental car. Highly recommended if you're looking for character, comfort, and a central location!

Lovely hotel and well located! I enjoyed the pool, the garden and the room. The hotel is filled with beautiful antique decorations. They also gave us an upgrade to the room with balcony which was appreciated.

Very nice hotel, from the staff to the unique location - i would 100% recommend this to someone who’s planning on visiting Antalya, you’ve got ton of exploring close by, from the boulevard to the beach. it’s a super location right in the old city of Kaleiçi. The rooms are very nice and clean, the cleaning ladies were super friendly. personally the breakfast selection wasn’t 100% my thing but it was all very clean and fresh. The staff is super kind and friendly, whenever you pass by they’d greet you very kindly and help you immediately with any questions you may have and offer you a good time during your stay! The pool is also very nice and private, not super big but perfect for some cooling off, and cats included 😉

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous antique vibe. Located right in the old town but down a nice quiet street. Very good facilities - the pool especially. Breakfast was not the best but they give discounts for a few restaurants locally. Staff always have a smile and happy to help. I’d definitely recommend Tuvana Hotel, and I’ll be staying here if I come back to Antalya.

Location was good if you want to be in old town. Old town is VERY hard to navigate if you are driving. We never experienced noise like we did there! There was a wedding at the hotel that went to midnight and was SO LOUD and people coming and going at all hours slamming their doors shut. Bed was ok. Service was fair.
