Tuwuh Hotel at Kayutangan

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Tuwuh Malang. The hotel is exceptionally clean and everything is well-maintained. The staff are friendly, helpful, and provide warm service that makes you feel comfortable. The price is also quite reasonable considering the comfort and facilities offered. Its location is convenient, making it easy to reach various attractions in Malang.

I booked this hotel for my family. The location is good. It's near Kayutangan and other must-visit places in Malang. However, the staff needed to improve their service. As an example, they didn't inform the wifi password upon arrival. Due to limited parking space, the security officers informed us to leave our car key, but forgot to ask the other guests, so we should wait before we can go out from the parking lot. We think it's better and safer if the guests keep the car key in the receptionist desk and registered the car identity number.

Not a dreamy place to spend your holiday... I have to give the place the credit of a nice location, and a wonderful staff... The rooms, however, are rather bad. First, know that the rooms under deluxe don't have windows. Then, all the rooms are a bit worn out, and mine was dirty (reading the other comments, I realized many others complained ). And no hot water. I didn't try the restaurant, appart for the not included breakfast... The later was alright. To sum up, it is cheap, but actually not that cheap considering the place... Management problem ? Who knows. Ps : some comments very positive were actually meant for the neighboring palace (the Tugu, name being close enough). This hotel, for instance, does not have a swimming pool 🤣

The location of the hotel is prime and easily accessible to all the downtown hotspots (kayutangan, alun-alun malang, train station, and culinary favorite place such pasar klojen etc.), the room is sparkling clean, and peaceful. The hotel's staff ensures my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, despite my husband's disability. The hotel's dedication to inclusivity is truly inspiring. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming and accommodating place to stay.

Stayed at Hotel Tuwuh Malang for 2 days and honestly, it was such a chill spot. The room was clean, AC worked great, and the bed was super comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plus, it’s super close to food spots and local attractions super convenient. I’d totally stay here again if I visit Malang ♥️

First, the location is really great near the kayutangan. Just walk more or less 500m. We got the superior room with around 400k. It has a bathtub which is a plus point. The hotel has a vintage javanese vibes. However, the bed squeeked and it looked worn out. The staff service can be improved as well. Especially the Front Desk. There is one supervisor who assists us. She’s very kind and very helpful. More or less we enjoyed the stay.

Check in was smooth. Arrived early and although they didn't let us check in immediately they did let us leave our bags so we could walk around. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Room was a bit cramped. Bed was pushed up against the wall preventing the window curtains from being adjusted freely. Could smell lingering cigarette smoke (room 219). Bathroom had a tub with shower combination. Supposed hot water is available from 4am-10am and 4pm-10pm. I never was able to get hot let alone warm water. Overall not worth the price.

The hotel is alright for a short stay and if you are planning to be most of the time outside as we have done. Some extra cleaning would be great for spider bets in corners or under the window seating area, which actually could be changed. Bathroom is plus minus ok, but for 3 nights we had HOT WATER only once after the technician was called in. Hotel indicates what hours hot water is available but even then we had to take cold showers. There is NO POOL at the facility - a photo on Google has been uploaded and never taken down. On the positive side bed, bedsheets and towels are very clean and new, so you can sleep comfortably. Staff at the hotel are very nice and helpful. Thank you for borrowing us an umbrella for 3 evenings when it was raining.
