On the Grid : Twelve Triangles

"This has to be one of the best bakeries in the city, with excellent breads & pastries - the charcoal sourdough loaf being a stand-out. It's got a real neighbourhood vibe, with regulars coming in every day for a coffee and a sweet treat. Their Duke Street outlet is a good brunch/lunch option, as well as a handy stop-off point for one of Twelve Triangles signature offerings - their delicious filled doughnuts. Try the apple & ricotta one and you won’t be disappointed. Maybe pistachio & custard too, just to be sure." - fourcolourblack

I braved the curious croissant loaf and can confirm the raspberry, pistachio and chocolate mingle through the moist croissant layers for a scrumptious sequence of flavours and texture. The cinnamon bun nor croissant on the other hand wasn’t anything special. Coffee is fine, not many milk options (either whole or oat). I would return out of convenience, but not because I’m rushing back to try out their variety of options as I do there’s better around

Focaccia isn't particularly crispy even after reheating, but for Edinburgh standards it's fine

We were looking for a nice local place to have breakfast, we ended up buying a whole loaf of bread and a sandwich for lunch! Lovely staff, friendly and helpful. savoury and sweet bakes were beautiful! Pictures are the rhubarb and spinach rolls

Got the cheese toastie but it was a bit salty. I’m not sure if it’s because I not usually have cheese

Excellent breads, sandwiches and pastries. You have to be very quick to make sure you try their almond croissants- they sell out often by 9:30am

Have heard great things about twelve triangles and finally tried it for first time in Stockbridge. The pastries don’t disappoint, and the sandwiches look great too! I can see how they sell out by later in the day! Worth trying if you’re after some baked goods and a coffee!

Who needs (insert expensive bakery with ludicrous queues) when you can just go to 12T and get tasty treats, with lovely service and don’t have to step around people taking silly videos for their socials eh. Had the frangipane and it was top notch.

I've been going to Twelve Triangles for a long time and I can honestly say it's the best bakery. Not only are the bakes out of this world and worth every penny, the coffee is also delicious and they also have a great selection of condiments, juices and savoury bits. What I also love about the bakery is that I always get greeted with a lovely smile, and I always enjoy my morning chats with the staff. The actual cafe is in the heart of Stockbridge, and it has a lovely wholesome vibe. Their cinnamon bun and custard buns are out of this world. Totally recommend!!
