Twin Rivers Motel

What a great place to stay. We were there recently for work and we loved it. A really comfy room , warm and cosy. Everything we needed including cooking facilities. Very quiet at night.Walked to dinner across road to the RSA then Thai down the road the next night. The manager was lovely and very kindly removed the Magpie (still alive) in my car grill!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 omg 😱 Thank you.

It's so good here, we came back for a second time! Immaculate, well-appointed and the most thoughtful hosts ever. So lovely to us and dog. Zoom into photo to check out the personlised bed for our dog. Highly recommend!

First time for both dogs away from home and in a motel. They were pampered and made feel at ease , couldn’t ask for anymore as a fur baby Mumma. Look forward to many more road trips and stays in this beautiful piece of New Zealand

We stayed 6-7 April What an amazing stay! Our large group 19/20 people was split in to smaller groups and spread across the rooms. My family a couple with three kids and a baby we were in the cottage part. Just incredible ! I 100% recommend! I have been to taumaranui many times and this is a hidden treasure with walking distance to local Thai and Indian restaurants.

what a Gem! Booked 3 rooms here for an overnight stay. Leslie was so lovely on the phone and was very easy to deal with. When we arrived the rooms were all super clean and there were little touches that you no longer get when you stay at motels / hotels. Biscuits, mints and chocolate. Beds were comfy and it is in a very quiet street.

Taumarunui was the logical stop for our trip across the north island. This must have been a busy town at some time but it caters to outdoor people and people traveling on the highway 4 now. This motel is about two blocks off of main but not hard to find. It is a small one story structure. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The place is dated but fine for a one night stay. They also seem to have folks enjoying the outdoor activities in the area.
