Our dining experience at Twine Loft was absolute perfection. We had made reservations in advance, and received excellent communication via email about our upcoming dining. The day before we were emailed our 2 options to choose from. My husband chose the pork with the rhubarb chutney and I chose the cod with walnuts. The day of, we arrived 45 minutes early and enjoyed drinks in the sunshine on the deck overlooking the water. At 5:15 we came inside. We started off with bread and herbed butter, and then were given an option of a soup or salad for appetizer. The soup was apple parsnip - which I never would have thought of as a combo, but was amazing. We then had mains, followed by a Newfoundland Spice Cake with a screech sauce. Absolutely every bite of our meal was exquisite. It is simple Newfoundland ingredients, prepared perfectly. The service was excellent - warm and welcoming from beginning to end. I would highly recommend dining here.

Our experience was absolutely magical. The weather, view, drinks on the deck, menu choices, decor, wonderful server, ability to accommodate gluten free, food presentation and taste, celebration cards…I could go on. We had an absolutely amazing evening that we will not soon forget.

This dinner was one of the highlights of our trip! We had eight of us so we got to dine privately as a group upstairs. It ended up being a rainy/cloudy evening so we couldn’t do pre dinner drinks on the deck as we intended, however it actually added to the cosy and comfortable ambience perfectly. Service by Roseanne was exceptional, so friendly, we had a great time with her :) Food was incredible, I had the vegetarian option which was delicious but the rest of the group drooled over their cod and pork options too. Shared some bottles of wine and finished with delicious ginger cake (which we were too full for but forced down anyway because it was that good). Highly recommend booking a dinner here! Thank you to the staff for making this such a lovely experience.

We’ve been travelling around NL for week and this has been by far our best dining experience. The food and atmosphere was phenomenal. We even watched the staff pick fresh flowers for our meal from the garden. Beautiful.

Google
this was a dining experience that would rival any top restaurant, anywhere on the planet. The dinner and each component was perfect. the selections for the menu and wines are not extensive nor do they need to be. We ate in the loft. also relaxing with a drink on the deck before hand which is key to the experience. All staff are experienced and so nice.

Loved the Twine Loft dining experience! Highly recommend going early for drinks on the patio. Food was delicious, service was outstanding, just a friendly and welcoming place to be. Still thinking about the Screech sauce on our ginger cake.

We are regular guests but were amazed at the experience during this visit. The atmosphere was genuine and friendly, the service was personal and exceptional, and the food was honestly the best we ever had. It was a wonderful way to end the day! Spectacular!!

Google
An exquisite little restaurant- limited menu but the food was fabulous and the service exceptionally friendly and caring. In a building that was originally a twine loft, right on the waterfront, it has been renovated with simplicity and taste to create a warm, easy atmosphere. The meals we had there were among the few 5-star best on our trip.

Yelp
Gayle and I enjoyed one dinner and 2 breakfasts at the Twine Loft Restaurant during our 2-night stay at the Artisan Inn. The closest experience I can think of after spending a really nice weekend in Trinity was maybe Mendocino, but without the tourist hordes. The Twine Loft Restaurant was very charming, with stellar down home service, and delicious food options that the kitchen was happy to tweak. We both enjoyed the rustic modern dining room, the romantic ambiance, and the view of the water through the window. Our only regret here was that the weekend we were here was cold and foggy, so there was no real sit on the deck at sunset (or sunrise) option. Dinner was extra special at a fixed price of $65 plus beverages. Gayle chose the Moroccan Lamb Shank with Yogurt Mint Sauce (served with Lemon Herb Israeli Pearl Couscous and Roasted Vegetables), while I went for the Atlantic Salmon with Mango & Pickled Onion Salsa (served with lemon roasted potatoes and roasted vegetables). We shared that an a nice bottle of Canadian wine.

Yelp
Excellent food, with price fixe 3-course dinners and a la carte breakfasts. Nice wines, too. Staff is very attentive and friendly. The setting is a renovated fishing shack, and is now very nice. The outdoor deck for drinks is lovely, right on the water. Highly recommended. Reservations needed for dinner.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner the Twine Loft this evening. Moroccan Lamb shank for me and Atlantic Salmon with a Mango salsa for my wife. Both were prepared perfectly, served in a small charming space over two floors with beautiful views of the bay and village of Trinity, which itself it not to be missed if visiting Nfld. The main floor guests see the food being prepared in the open kitchen The service was impeccable and friendly and the drinks on the deck beforehand are a must do. Highly recommended and we will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Great night out with a beautiful sunset to watch while having drinks on the patio. Service was great and so was the food. I enjoyed watching the chef prepare the courses as they went out.

Yelp
What a beautiful spot. Found this place by accident on a day trip from St John's. They had a cancellation and fit us in. The cottage was rustic and very pretty with a beautiful deck overlooking the cove. Meals at the Inn were delicious.

Yelp
Very charming restaurant in a out-of-the-way place. Food was good, service was excellent. $$$$ would be more appropriate.

Yelp
Lovely spot for cocktails on the deck or for dinner. Be sure to make a reservation if you're in town. The couple that run the restaurant are wonderful

Yelp
Beautiful view from this lovely dining room in Trinity. Reserve in advance when you will be asked to make your choice of entree for your three course dinner. They were able to accommodate my need for gluten free food including providing gf rolls to go with the salad! Service was impeccable. I am only sorry we did not eat here both nights in Trinity

Yelp
Fabulous setting on the water, wonderful people and the food, you won't find any better. If you come to Trinity, my favorite vacation ever, this is the place. We stayed in a heritage house circa 1840 owned by the Artisan Inn and dined on four courses each night at the Twine Loft which has an amazing sommelier, Marieke (hope I spelled that correctly.) Enjoy. The charms of Trinity will steal your heart.

Yelp
My wife and I were married in Trinity, NL this summer. It was an intimate affair with 26 of us all staying at B&B's in the village. For our wedding dinner, rather than catering, etc, we took those that could attend dinner to the Twine Loft. Each course was masterfully executed, the flavours were amazing! Service was professional and attentive very friendly as you would expect. Now, the setting of this beautiful little restaurant is something that you have to take in. Waterfront view, heritage houses all around... Aaaaah.
