Twiske

Great park, there are cows and nice walking paths. Far enough from Amsterdam to feel secluded and close enough to bike from the city center. I came on a very windy day which made the biking much more difficult. I would avoid windy days.

Beautiful place. You can easily relax here and enjoy the nature. It's also my favourite fishing spot 😊

Such a lovely place to walk in nature. It never gets really busy so it's the perfect place to relax and reset

Het Twiske is a fantastic escape just outside Amsterdam! Perfect for walking, biking, and swimming, with scenic lakes and wooded paths. Dog-friendly too, with off-leash areas and a dog beach. There’s also a marina, picnic spots, and a few cozy eateries, making it a great spot to unwind or spend an active day outdoors. The park is beautifully maintained and super accessible for a quick city escape .

Amazing place to visit with the family or your pet! They have many sticks for your dogs. There is plenty of parking spaces, many lakes, parks and different areas for walking & exploring. They have some picnic areas with sitting areas and trash cans. Very nice place to visit for the weekend!

Nice area for all outdoor lovers. It has lots of water, so ideal for water lovers. I was there today with a friend. We came by bicycle from.Amsterdam. it is a nice ride to get there. We have parked our bikes at some car parking spit and went for a walk...in the end it became the whole round. The signs are not as best. You don't really know where you are walking and if you can cross water. All though nature is beautiful and there are enough parking spots for cars, enough picnic and grill places i have missed out on good signs. That's why i cannot give a 5 start review.

Beautiful, quiet park. Perfect to enjoy after a busy week. Great, wild nature with many sport possibilities for nature lovers. I do love Het Twiske, will come back for sure!

Really enjoy spending time here. It's very close to both Purmerend, Oostzaan and just a short drive from Amsterdam. You should be able to bike here from any of these locations, but by car / scooter is most favorable. It's a great location to spend your spring / summer lunches or dinners. They have a nice selection of food to choose from, but I usually go for the 'Twiske' burger. I'm not even going to describe it; you have to experience it! It's in the middle of a nature reserve called 'het Twiske'. Should you decide to spend the day, you can: rent bikes, rent a (sail)boat, go swimming or surfing, or enjoy the view at the 'paviljoen'. When in Amsterdam and you have access to a car or don't mind a bit longer bikedrive through the country, please oh please do visit!
