Google
Twisted Cat Tavern seems to be a popular place to hang out in the area. Due to which it can get pretty loud inside the restaurant. There is also an outside seating area if you want to avoid it. The food is pretty flavorful. Tried the bolognese without really reading the description and it was more Asian than actual bolognese. Loved it though! Jalapeños eggrolls were not really for me. The mixed drinks can be a hit or miss. Overall, a great (and loud) hangout spot with flavorful food and very friendly service - if that’s the kind of vibe you are going for!

Google
Food was excellent— the burgers were superb, but the real show stopper? The grilled cheese roll-ups! No kidding, the best appetizer I’ve ever had. It’s also just a cool place.

Google
Great service, great food and drinks! Not from the area, but found this spot and it hit the spot. We had the steak and cheese and smash burgers and both were amazing. Beer was cold and my cocktail was delicious!

Google
I didn't realize it was more of a bar than a restaurant. It was very loud (music and people) that we were having to repeat things loudly across the booth to each other. The waitress (I did not catch her name) was extremely nice, professional, efficient, and she had a lovely personality. I had a steak and cheese with onion rings. I liked that the steak part were chunks of meat. That was nice, but overkill with the red pepper hoagie spread on it. Whoa. Onion rings were big fat chunky ones and tasted great.

Google
Food is incredible. The corn ribs are amazing and the burgers are the best. We’re coming back to try everything on the menu. Super cool vibe and the staff is attentive. We found a new spot and hope that they don’t get too busy 😂

Google
First time visiting. Was craving a good burger. Ordered the one with the Mac & cheese and fried egg. I don't recall the name. WARNING: Do not order this burger if you are wearing something fancy. Why? Because this burger is an absolute mess in the best possible way. The beef is beefy, the onion ring does its level best to contain the Mac& Cheese, but it will ultimately fail, and when the dam breaks... Don't get me wrong, you will LOVE everything about this burger... The pork belly and egg bring it to a 10... But there is a good chance you'll wear some of it. We started with the onion rings, other onion rings wish they were these. Only criticism, too many high top tables, I'm not a fan, so I took a booth. Noticed a family with a young kid struggling to be comfortable. Ended up relocating when the few low tops opened up. Went on a Saturday for lunch. I'm sure the dinner crowd may disagree... And that's okay.

Christopher Brodnik

Google
The Lazy Cat was easily one of the best smash burgers I’ve had in a while. One of the owners was running the bar and tending to all of the tables. He was very friendly, attentive and down-to-earth. Plenty of parking too on a Saturday afternoon. Highly recommend coming here if you have the chance!

Google
I’m absolutely obsessed with the pork belly salad. I work in the plaza and it’s my favorite place to grab lunch with a coworker. We tried the corn ribs and holy flavor!

Yelp
Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. We had a burger and the tat chos. They are really great. My wife had the Pink Panther cocktail and loved it.

Yelp
Twisted Cat Tavern is the next on my list of great local finds that I'd love to share with the Yelpiverse! If you're lucky like we were, Peter, one of of the business partners, will greet you from behind the bar when you walk in. For me, the small things in life make for great things in life. He's a genial host and I felt that vibe when I walked through the threshold. Twisted Cat Tavern is tucked into a developed shopping complex, but it doesn't smack of dime-a-dozen trendy places that try to look good, but lack character. This place is the real deal. Decor and ambiance are spot on...fun decorations, smart lighting, and chill scene set the tone for what's ahead.... Prompt table service by Peter let us discuss beer choices and burger selections. Whimsical burger names are in line with the scene...We aimed for the Mexi-cat and Chonky-cat choices. My concern with everything burgers that try to pile on toppings is that the flavors just get lost...Peter simply said, "I see a lot of clean plates." Game on! Burgers were monster, and much to my surprise, they were both beyond our expectations. My Chonky-cat came with pork belly, Mac n cheese, colossal onion ring, fried egg, and American cheese. The Mexi-cat came with carnitas, guacamole, pico de gallo and fried tortilla strips. We're fans of bringing things home, yet we BOTH cleaned our plates...much to our surprise. The meal was perfect with great service, and prompt attention to our water refills. My Solace hazy IPA was on point, and I wish I had time for another... As we headed out to the cold, a quick chat with Peter to give him props for a great meal and well-run establishment was my social dessert. I'll be in the area again, and I plan to stop back in to try other menu items...my guess is that everything else is also purr-fect! Until next time...tk

Yelp
My friend and I ordered through UberEats and we thought the food was delicious! The service was great and it was delivered on time which was nice! My friend ordered the Grilled Cheesy along with the Roasted Tomato Basil Soup and thought it was very delicious! I ordered the Cheesy Beefy Onion Soup and the P-B.L.T. which was amazing!! We will definitely be ordering from here again!!

Yelp
We stopped for dinner on 8/22/2024. My wife had the honey BBQ wings. Sauce was sweet and tangy, wings were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I can't remember the name if it, but I had the smash burger with pork belly, an onion ring, Mac and Cheese and a fried egg. I've wanted to try this burger for a long time, to be honest, it was somewhat disappointing. The burger patties were bland, under seasoned. The onion ring was nice and crispy. The pork belly was chewy. I was expecting that to be nice and tender. It wasn't. The Mac and Cheese was creamy, tender. The egg was slightly overcooked, it should have been sunny side up with a runny yoke. It was huge. Overall a pretty tasy burger. The fries were average, nothing special. Based on the under the underwhelming pork belly and bland burger patties, I feel a 3 is justified.

Yelp
Excellent beer selection. I had the James dean which is a burger made from sausage with an egg and spices. Superb food perfectly cooked and the service was attentive as well as prompt. Will def visit again. Spicy Bolognaise is in my dream board lol. Outdoor seating is ample and is across from a nice little park.

Yelp
Came on a Friday evening, and it was really packed and busy. They had several big parties come in and hang out. There are TVs all around so you can watch whatever sports you wanted to watch. They have several tables and chairs, and also a couple booths. They definitely have a really fun vibe with several regulars, it seems. I sat at the bar because it was just me, and I just wanted eat! I was given a menu as soon as I sat down, and my orders taken not too long after. I ordered the colossal onion rings to start off with and the Chonky Cat burger. The onion rings are absolutely colossal (fitting name for sure). The Chonky cat burger is also massive, but it was pretty good. I enjoyed both dishes, but had a lot left over afterwards. I would love to try other dishes on their menu as well.

Chris J.

Yelp
Great food and excellent prices. Service was a little slow but not overly so. Friendly staff and nice family atmosphere. The chonky burger was fantastic!

Yelp
I had high expectations for this place. My salmon sandwich was dry. Everyone in the party said it was good. Just good. Service, drinks and the Brussels great. Good vibe.

Yelp
This is a 4.5 star review! We have been wanting to try this local bar. This shopping center needs a go-to pub and they delivered. Ambiance- bar seating, a few high tops and a couple booths. Outdoors they have plenty of outdoor seating. Nice to visit on a warm day. Service was spot on! Only thing that was a bummer was that they didn't mention much about happy hour. I asked if they had one and the server who might have been an owner said it just ended at 5:00p but didn't mention the hours or what was included. We will try coming during the earlier hours. Not sure what time it starts but it's sometime before 5:00p otherwise service was great. They checked on us often and food served hot. Cocktails were great. They have a good beer selection and many cocktail options ($12). I had a watermelon cocktail that popped a good punch. They also have a variety of mules and I also had their strawberry mule! Food was delicious. We were told that their food concept was a "twist" on standard dishes. We got the TOTchos, a twist on tots stuffed with sour cream combined with a nacho blend. Wings were piping hot and well "sauced".

Yelp
My cousin suggested we come here for dinner to try their Nutty Cat burger and I couldn't say no to peanut butter and bacon so we went! Never been to the area but we easily found parking right in front of the place on the street. We got assisted as soon as we walked in despite it being a little busy. We grabbed a few beers and then ordered two Nutty Cats, a Lazy Cat (standard burger), and Lemon Pepper Wings. The food only took a little over 10 minutes to come out. The burgers were really delicious. So much peanut butter (not a bad thing) and great crispy bacon. Also they are all double patties so they are of a good size too. Great crispy fries come with it too. The wings were solid quality wise but not too much lemon pepper flavor. Tasted better when they brought the ranch. If you love a cold beer and a really good burger, definitely grab your next lunch/dinner here.

Yelp
Stopped in Friday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. We were re able to seat ourselves and our server came over quickly. We started with the TOTchos which were delicious. Tator tots, pulled pork, and all the nacho fixins. Very good. I got the Bobb salad which was leafy greens, red onion, eggs, bleu cheese, and fried pork belly with a honey mustard vinaigrette. It was great. The salad was huge, dressed well but wasn't soaked. I would definitely get it again. My husband had the Mac Rib sandwich which was pulled pork, Mac and cheeE, Cole slaw and bbq chips. I tried it and was really good. The tangy Cole slaw broke up the richness of the Mac and cheese. Service was great and so was the food. It is definitely one of the better pubs in the area and I would recommend it. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
This local pub in the Lansdowne Town Center is a nice addition amongst the various townhomes. Inside the pub there's a long bar and a few pub tables and booths. We took a pub table. Staff was attentive. We had just missed happy hour so have no idea what's involved since they don't have table advertisement. Food was good: a twist on various pub dishes. We had tator tots injected with sour cream and topped with nacho fixings. I probably wouldn't get that again. That's just me. There's a full draft and craft list as well as cocktail menu. Hours look like they open late so it's a good place to visit if you need a late night stop.

Yelp
Excellent food. Nice atmosphere. Cozy. I will be back! (Try the caprese chicken...:just wow!!!!).

Yelp
Nice place and great food. The onion rings are insanely huge but good and the burgers have a lot going on. They got hats and shirts for sale. Staff is very friendly and for my first time there was a good experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and great staff! Really enjoyed the place. The bartenders are friendly and fun. Lots of TVs for sports watching. Will definitely be going back often.

Yelp
Every time I visit the service is great and food is delicious! So happy to see locally owned businesses making a come back and doing it right!

Shannon M.

Yelp
My family visited Twisted Cat Tavern after reading several great reviews and it did not disappoint. The pork belly and Brussel sprouts appetizer was very tasty and the burgers were some of the best smash burgers we've ever had. Thumbs up from our youngest who is quite the picky eater! Service was fast and attentive and the atmosphere was great. We'll definitely be back.

Chris B.

Yelp
Really a great place. The service is good. It's a typical sports bar. Waiter is a kid. Bartender has to serve you. Food is good. It's a decent place, nothing special
google avatar

Kevin S.

Yelp
A very nice, small local tavern. Nothing terribly special but it has plenty of windows and light coming in; many TVs to watch sports; and a nice variety of local beers on tap. Food is good, not out of this world great. Favorite was the burger and enjoyed the wings though mild means it has some heat. French fries were very good, onion rings had too much breading. Definitely recommend trying as it had a great vibe and energy. Staff was super nice.

Yelp
I've been here twice recently. Both times the service was top notch the server came over right away with menus and was right on top of things the whole meal. I had the blueberry salad both times with steak and it's a great salad. The steak was cooked and served hot on top of the salad. My fiancé had the mushroom tacos and really liked them. We will be back.

Yelp
Great food and great service! Maybe could use a bit more help at times for the crowds but they hustle so much you can barely tell.

Deegan N.

Yelp
I highly recommend this spot. Great service from the moment you walk in. I came in alone so I ended up sitting at the bar and was greeted by on the bartenders Trevor. The drinks and the food were great and I recommend the poutine fries. I have sense been back a few times and every time is a good experience. It's definitely a cool spot.

Jesse C.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! My favorite is the poutine by far! The gravy is absolutely amazing

Conrad M.

Yelp
When you walk in it's a very warm feeling. The bartenders are quick to serve and make good drinks. They do a really good job of enhancing the experience and contributing to that at home feeling you get. One of the bartenders, Trevor, makes the best LIT in Loudoun County. The food comes out quickly and all of its good. The menus got a great variety, but the best is the Totchos. Whether you want a date night or a guys/girls night out, I highly recommend "the Cat".

Yelp
Service was great, the Bloody Mary was awesome, but the food was meh. The fish tacos were cold.

Robert W.

Yelp
Great service (friendly staff who regularly checked on us). Great beer selection. Great burger (we ordered and shared the Lazy Cat smash burger). What more do you want?

Yelp
Always the best place!! Delicious food. Always welcoming and friendly ambience. Family & friends love to come here...weeknights and especially weekends. It's a definite MUST TRY!!

Yelp
Love this local gem! Fun owners, Olivia is fantastic, and everything we have tried so far has been great

Yelp
We ordered from here to try something new and got it to go. Their menu seems really fun and unique. We got avocado jalepeno egg rolls as a starter. They were heavy but so delicious, a twist on a jalepeno popper. My husband got a burger and fries and both were good, it seems like this is their go to menu item. I tried the drunken bolognese, an Asian twist on a classic. It is DELICIOUS but keep in mind it is a very spicy slow burn! Can't wait to go back and try more!
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice addition to Lansdowne area. Great tap list and good food. Very fun inviting atmosphere.

Yelp
I'm so mad I didn't take a picture of the loaded tots. (Totchos) It was soooooooooo good! The place was packed but still got our orders in quick. The bartender held the bar and floor down. Full of energy!!!

Yelp
I have no idea what that person complaining about cat smells and allergies was talking about because it was a bunch of nonsense. This seems like a nice little spot in the neighborhood that I would probably frequent if I lived here. Woukd I go out of my way, probably not because I live in Tysons. But I'm down here at least 2-3 times a month and would reconsider coming back if it was later in the evening like today was. I don't drink, but when I used to, this would be a place I would go. Somewhere that nice and has pretty good food, laid back, and the type of bar that people frequent the actual bar and get remembered. Food was great. But as I said, this is what you expect from a place that is a regular place that you can go to, hang with friends, be low key, have them remember you, and get some decent hours to winddown in.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Are there actual cats here? There is a smell of urine but I thought it was my imagination. Should have trusted my nose and left. It feels sticky. The tables are clearly never wiped down. We had food crumbs and spilled beverages on the table. Drinks were watered down. The burger was AWFUL! Tasted like cat piss smells. On top of that, I had a long, thick black hair in it. No one in my family liked their meals. We all left hungry...after paying way too much. (And it may be our imaginations, but we all felt like we were having allergic reactions when we left - we are all allergic to cats).

Thomas B.

Yelp
The food was good and service was excellent. Ordered a hamburger and fries with a beer. Pricing is ok. Would certainly go back.

Cat W.

Yelp
Service was great BUT the food was fantastic! Will definitely be returning to try more dishes out.

Yelp
came in on a friday night the place was packed, but was able to sneak into corner end of the bar, was quickly welcomed and greeted by one of the bartenders. she had given us a a quick rundown of the menu and asked if she could start us off with something to drink, within a minute drinks were in front of us. perfect. browsed the menu, and decided on wings, two different flavors, 10/$18 i thought was a bit pricey but once they hit the counter i was not disappointed. wings came out piping hot, juicy and flavorful (lemon pepper/mild) hearty, plump wings well worth the price. overall a great first experience to this little neighborhood gem. will definitely be back!
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
I liked my meal, but the other three out of our four party didn't. I like the flavor of my entrée and appetizers but the drinks for the other three were pretty rough.
google avatar

Trish B.

Yelp
Just left this new restaurant in town. Very disappointing. The music was way too loud to hear who you were talking to. The server never brought the only mixed drink ordered until halfway through the meal and it was terrible. Had to send it back (mai tai). The food was marginal. Just not a great experience.
google avatar

Brian V.

Yelp
What a great addition to the neighborhood! Drinks are good, food is tasty, service is friendly, and it has a fun ambiance and vibe. I would definitely come again

Aaron E.

Yelp
Service was friendly and fast. Food is decent quality as well, excited to come back and try again.

David F.

Yelp
Food is great. We've been here four times and each time the service and food quality has been excellent. The menu is a bit eclectic, and i wish there were more places like this in our area. We will be back.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Delicious food...including a tasty weekend brunch. Amazing drinks. Fantastic service. Great ambiance. Love it!! Highly recommend!

Kasey L.

Yelp
Got wings to go and they were outstanding! The hot honey barbecue is where it's at. Ambiance is nice and staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely return to try more on the menu.

Nikki R.

Yelp
The food and service are AMAZING. I LOVE THIS PLACE. I've tried something new every visit and have not been disappointed. The bartenders are always fantastic.

Nick M.

Yelp
I had heard of this new bar/restaurant from a few friends but was hesitant to make the hour-long journey to try it out. Me and my friend were just on our way home from Maryland so we stopped by. Let me tell you, the ambiance was very family-friendly and yet had the sports bar feel. Me and my friend sat at the bar and were immediately acknowledged by the most immediate bartender. We received menus and the bartender introduced herself, this makes it less awkward the first time being in a new place. We ordered drinks and food. The Open-faced Roast was enough to share. Everything on the menu was worthy of a double-take. I regret that we had eaten earlier in the day and were just stopping by for a bite due to traffic and rain. I will definitely be back to see Peter, Olivia, and Venre as soon as I can.
